Kuzaku Martillo, the Knight of Azathoth

Kuzaku swallowed, slightly nervous as he sat in a chair upstairs. In front of him was a wide screen of the type used to separate sections of a room - and while he couldn't see details, he could certainly see shadowed shapes right through it, and his lessons as a knight forced him to avert his eyes. How had he ended up in this predicament? Simple, really - Ciela had overheard things before entirely retreating to her room and insisted he follow. She was one of the people he'd heard many stories about, and opposing her... didn't seem like a good idea. As she changed, she'd been questioning him, ferreting out details of his situation he hadn't even realized he knew.

"Yeah, I think I'm starting to get a picture of things..." the Kuzunoha said as she finished buttoning up her outfit and began sliding her (many) tools into place. "You, that Euphoria girl, Relika..." she considered for a few moments, then strode out from behind the divider. "Well, there's never a dull day. Come on, let's see if your mother is up yet."

Ishi Yamaguchi (JSDF Inspector Yamaguchi Disguise)

At an uncertain hour before sunrise but after the dark hour a presence arrives carefully surveying the area around the house to determine how to best approach while avoiding satellite view and pedestrian encounters while looking at meaningless squiggles on a piece of paper to look lost. Sometime later on the hour precisely she would arrive at the front door holding her bag unseen by anyone in a vehicle. She rang the doorbell twice then stepped back to show she was armed with a gun and a large enough bag to hide a sword and perhaps some other things from the peep hole or some windows in case the snipers she assumed were occupying the houses that could see this spot a little too well wished to remain under radio silence. In anycase her contact seemed to have been forced to pursue another mission before they had arrived and she was in disguise to add to that. It was best to at least give them this courtesy.

The one who appeared in the entry hall after the doorbell was rung was... well, honestly, there was no other way to describe it. It was a zombie. Wearing a bloodstained maid's uniform. "'Sup? Bit late to be running around the city, isn't it?" the zombie asked, peeking out through a crack in the door - and keeping the chain attached to the door to lock it. This was quite a full house, after all, and she didn't recognize this visitor...

She would appear to be entirely unphased by the mummy, in reality she found it adorable and wanted to tie it up and take it somewhere where nobody could ever disturb them... but that would probably come off more creepy than anything... It wasn't really a romantic feeling or anything, just a simple inclination towards hoarding cute things..

"Its NEVER too late to ~go bird watching~. Especially for an ecologist. I'm Inspector Yamaguchi.. I've come to check on my kin while I'm in town. I'm very much expected."

It was certainly no secret she was in town. At least not under her new identity with practically legit credentials that had appeared overnight with a little help from the capital to explain where she had existed over the past 26 years. But she merely hid from cameras and untrained eyes so her new identity could manifest itself at the Amagi Inn.

It would likely be best to try and complete my business here quickly and disappear before civilians started heading to work... or maybe it doesn't matter

Zaid

Zaid blinked a bit. "This is the Dark Hour." she pointed out, as if that ought to explain everything. "Hold on a moment - we've got a procedure for this." the maid shut the door again and moved further into the house.

Tsukiyo

A little while later, a ghostly figure floated straight through the door and circled around Ishi a few times, looking her up and down. "Hiya! I'm Tsukiyo, and I'm going to possess you and read your mind. Resistance will be met with... um, what was it... oh, right! An appropriate level of force!" she said, rather disturbingly cheerful. "We'd usually have Lady Ciela or her pupil do it, but they're not supposed to be disturbed for every little issue. Besides, you're not going to be living here, right?"

She looked to the ghost "Yamaguchi, Ishi. I do not have orders to allow myself to be possessed nor to assault anyone from this location who attempts to do so.. Those with the appropriate privileges may do so at their own risk. I have no special mental block on my memories. At least not for one of the appropriate privileges... I live wherever I am stationed." she responded again not seeming bothered in the slightest by ghostly presence. Like the locks within this very house those with access were free to access. Her rather mechanical sounding response could be summed up as retaining responsibility for her own body regardless of its state while still accepting any attempt to force information out under the assumption that the one doing it was in fact of the appropriate level of privilege.

"Well, you're not on the list for here. Who sent you here, anyway?" Tsukiyo asked, hovering up and down as a few ghostly flames flickered into existence around her transparent body.

"I was sent here from Osaka. I dont know the details but I was sent to meet a contact. A guy who seems to wear a red baseball cap if that narrows it down. He ran off somewhere along the way here. I assume you have the authority to give permission to summon on the premises? The kappa likely has more of the info you are interested in" she stood watching the ghost still at attention though with the bag on her shoulder though she made no attempt to hide the fact that she was clearly armed though if one were to actually intrude to see her feelings they would find she was actually more concerned with the fact a ghost looked so young than the green moon or disturbing scenery.

Red
"It's okay. She's legit." a familiar voice called out, as the summoner that had parted ways with the older woman walked up, a small demon peeking out from his hat. "I had a little bird telling me about her before I headed this way...So, I figured I'd meet her partway."
He'd had to cut out midway through the area to..deal with something, but he was back, and looking far less serious than before. He held out his hand to offer up his body to possess, if the girl wanted to clear things up. If the woman was too leery to trust, then he'd have to vouch for her. Of course, the woman could also be afraid of ghosts....
I wouldn't be surprised..

Red had suddenly appeared in a very.. relaxed... manner. His demon companion so blatantly revealing itself. He was such a handsome young looking guy showing so little discipline. Her nose flared lightly as she fantasized about taking him home with her... to lock him in a cell under a floorboard with water up to his forehead to discipline him into a proper soldier! Then again neither him nor she were technically soldiers per se but rather well equipped servants of sorts. Despite her strange or overly mechanical behaviors, was a perhaps disturbing urge to care for these people however she may define -caring-

Speaking to the ghost repeating herself again.. "If you are able to read my thoughts despite security measures taken by my superiors then you are free to do so. Even as recreation. I have no personal issues with this. In time we will all be different people connected only by time and tales to the sheddings our past selves. I am also willing to simply answer verbal questions if you wish. So long as it doesn't interfere with anything nothing is off limits." As would be found in her dossier she did not have a great need for secrets without real purpose. It was noted that she believed secrets not used for good were nothing more than burdens and obstacles lacking purpose or merit though she also had a very clear understanding regarding the handling of such sacred things and the relevance of choice. Mostly through the philosophical studies of her own rehabilitation.

Tsukiyo

Tsukiyo circled around Red a few times. This one, at least, she knew she could trust. Besides, she was still on probation... "Aren't Summoners taught both how to use demons to read minds and how to block people from reading their minds?" she asked Red, blinking a few times. "She doesn't sound like she's learned enough to be away from the Village... or so Lady Ciela would probably say." Tsukiyo herself didn't know much about actual summoning - her power was a bit different, and she was arguably much closer to being a demon than she was to being someone like Red, Asuka, or any other Summoner in this city.

She interjected briefly so as to quickly dispel any confusion giving a slight bow as though to ask forgiveness. "Ah, I apologize for not explaining before. I am under a somewhat strict protocol and we are technically still within the public domain performing an informal inquisition, I am also outside my jurisdiction without confirmation that I am not a danger. I have no indication of your rank or identity beyond your name and your apparent awareness of my identity. I offer access to my private thoughts freely simply because I have such a freedom, I may possess some forced mental blocks because one does not simply survive in **certain parts of Osaka without them." She was indeed in front of Lady Ciela's home. But that was the extent of her position at the moment. Just outside a hardly appropriate facility for some lines of questioning. To dishonor the protocol in order to have the honor of meeting her future employer would ultimately dishonor the organization. Both discipline and patience demanded that Ishi try the patience of her superior's servants possibly restricting her to merely acting under indirect orders for now.

**Osaka = obscenely high crime rates and corruption since the end of world war 2 and perhaps beyond

Tsukiyo

Tsukiyo blinked a few times. "...Speak Japanese." she said after a few moments, pulling back until only her head was sticking out of the door. Normal people didn't talk that way - nor did any of the (admittedly few) summoners that Tsukiyou had met. Honestly, the woman sounded like she was just trying to obfuscate the issue and talk a lot without actually saying anything, and that wasn't the way they really did things. The ghost pondered for a moment, then shrugged behind the door. "Go find Sir Raidou. He can tell you what to do." she said, before pulling back entirely through the door and leaving it shut.

Did she only understand traditional Japanese or something? Ishi figured it was something like this, obviously her Osaka Japanese was crystal clear... maybe????? "what do I sound like to her!?!" she thought.

"...understood" She began to think that didn't go so well. But no matter, there would hopefully be more chances once she become a bit more well known.

No mention of the strange happenings, such a relaxed work setting, and a ghost and.. some sort of zombie type living in a house. Was this really the normal world these days? No, it didn't matter, that's the way it was! She would have to find some way to explore this aspect of her work as well.. or maybe a gift would be easier.

She turned to red and gave a short bow. "Thanks, I'll be able to manage from here" Seemed her things had come with some coded clues to get to the Inaba rest station. This would be enough until reaching out to Sir Raidou.

{she heads out assuming she isn't stopped}

Iofiel, the Angel of Love and Kuzaku Martillo, the Knight of Azathoth

Not too long after the previous guest had left, another figure materialized outside the boundaries of the estate, recognizing that just darting in would be a short - and lethal - experience. Instead, she whipped her arm around a few times and... politely knocked on the doorbell instead of spamming the doorbell at what was basically midnight. Courtesy was important! Which may have been why she was so happy to see the one who answered the door. "Hi, Kuzy!" Iofiel said, hugging him as she hopped inside.

"Ah, um..." Years of training from hell kicked his brain into gear. "Good evening, Lady Iofiel. May I ask what brings you to the estate of the esteemed Lady Kuzunoha?" He stepped back slightly as the thinly-clad angel girl let go of him, sapphire-hued eyes staring into his own. "You seem... pleased?"

"It seems my fa- ah, favorite point of contact in this timeline, sorry, bit my tongue..." That had been TOO close, "...is a bit busy at the moment, so I figured I'd fetch my mother and make the introductions. We all have to work together to make a better future, right? I know Euphie's probably in bed right now, but is anyone else up?" It was the Dark Hour - a surprisingly high number of people habitually stayed up late enough to deal with the things that happened during it, so it was actually a fairly reasonable question.
