"Take it easy there, Grimm," Pavlov said sensing another confrontation was soon to come with Grimm still not unlocking his eyes from the bird's delicate form. "Come on, it's hardly fair, you're more than twice his size." After a strong look from the rabbit Pavlov added, "Yes, I Am aware that some small things can be pretty dangerous....this is me you're talking to, remember..."

The little hummingbird made another attempt to dart toward the annoying rabbit and Lian flicked her wing carefully, sending the small bird tumbling backward, tail over beak. "Settle down, Willow," she said, half pleadingly.

Grimm was about to laugh at the bird when he watched the stallion's eyes grow wide, his pupils so large that his eyes appeared to be almost black. He hopped a little closer to the stallion and took a protective stance before turning and facing the sport Pavlov had fixated on.
Pavlov himself was seeing something move in the reeds at the water's edge and felt very on edge. Usually when something came for him he saw the entity first, but this time it was just an overwhelming feeling of dread and those slowly swaying reeds - ominous in their apathy.

The sudden change in atmosphere caused Lian to stiffen and take a small, slow step back. She considered asking what was wrong, but she was afraid to make a sound. Despite the rabbit's aggressiveness, these two hadn't seemed like too much of a threat. However, she now knew appearances were deceptive. She had learned to take sudden changes in behavior seriously and to tread cautiously.
Willow, however, was not as cautious. Seeing how intently the other two males were staring at the reeds, Willow dartted around Lian's wings and dove at the reeds.
"WILLOW!"

Pavlov gasped and recoiled watching the small bird dart in to the dark, uncertain area, "He...he can't be there. We shouldn't be here. This place, it's not good - at least it's not good right now. We should go quickly. And he needs to get out of there - now!" The reeds were shaking event more now and Pavlov closed his eyes tight as he saw a skeletal hand emerge from the reed, "No there...." he began the litany softly and prayed that it would continue to work for him. Without Zah around it was all he had. "Not there, not there, not there...."
Grimm knew once the stallion started muttering it must have been something bad - especially to have him mutter out loud with another soul present. The two of them pretty much accepted that he was insane, but that didn't mean they had to advertise to others!

Willow rooted around in the reeds and popped back up, annoyed when he found nothing.
Seeing the annoyance on her familiar's face and guessing that he had come up empty clawed, Lian frowned a bit. Then she processed what Pavlov was saying. With a sudden insight that was a very, very mild version of her gifts, she realized that he was seeing something the rest of them weren't. Whatever it was, he was clearly terrified. After a moment's hesitation, she approached him cautiously and draped a wing over him. She still wasn't convinced that he was what he seemed, but she also couldn't bring herself to leave him to his suffering. "Come this way... keep your eyes closed," she cautioned, keeping her tone gentle.

Grimm needed no further invitation and head butted his friend along away from the water. Pavlov walked, cautious of where he put each hoof. Once they have traveled a significant enough distance and he felt the dread start to drain away from him he asked shakily, "Is it gone?"

Willow followed, irritated and buzzing softly to himself.
Lian hesitated. Her instinct was to tell him that, yes, it was gone. But how could she know? What if he opened his eyes and still saw whatever it was that had frightened him so badly? She didn't like liars or lying. It left her feeling greasy and uncomfortable when she spoke a falsehood. "I don't know," she admitted. "I can't see what you do. I'm sorry. But we are well away from the reeds. We're amongst the trees, now. Several large oaks, and some bushes."

Pavlov opened first one eye, then the other and breathed a sigh of relief. Whatever it was, the stirrings of the vision, were gone. "Alright...well, that is much better," he glanced over at the mare and saw only a look of concern on her face and sense the desire to bolt off. He was not unfamiliar to this type of response. "And you must think I am crazy," he said softly.

"Of course not," she assured him, though she did fold her wings tightly against her back and put a bit of space between them now that he seemed to be better. "You see things that others cannot. I am the same. It seems, though, that what you just saw is... fearsome?"
Willow rolled his eyes.

"It's alright, I understand. Everyone thinks I'm crazy when they hea-" he stopped mid word, for the first time registering what the mare had said. "Wait - you see what?" he demanded uncharacteristically.

She blinked, startled by the demand. She took another cautious step back and unfurled her wings just the smallest bit, ready to launch herself up into the air if this Pavlov decided to attack. "I see.... things... visions. Sometimes of the future, sometimes of the past."
