"I guess so. It.. doesn't bother you, does it?" The small smile was still there as she gave him a hopeful look. She wasn't sure what the disconnect was, but she wasn't going anywhere.

He thought about it. Not paying anything or having a ghoul who expected anything was rather nice. It was certainly easier on the wallet. "No." He said, looking back up and slowly smiling too. "I don't think it does."
And for some reason, it made him feel warmer than usual.
He took her hand, holding it. "So, what's your favorite flavor?"
