As you trek out of the desert, weary and ragged, you notice a cabinet sitting in the middle of nowhere. Huh. Beside it is a pot, for you to put golden beetles. On it, are various items, tagged with price cards. If you move to pick an item without paying, a shadowy figure appears behind you, whacks you over the head so hard you see double, and disappears in a blur. ALL REBEL TEAMS
Before you arrive at the mysterious cabinet, each rebel troll is stopped by some operatives. It seems your team brought the lusus in, stunned but alive, and carrying the WACKY. They promise it will be used for 'blood equality' purposes, and slip each troll one extra golden beetle, from their own private coffers. Then nodding at you in thanks, they disappear back into the desert.As the team that brought back the lusus, you handed it over to the operatives, and received a whopping five extra gold beetles each. Your pockets are overflowing! With these winnings, and any beetle trading (see below), all trolls from rebel and royalist teams may now carry over five beetles! To figure out how many beetles your troll has, individually, take the number of beetles that your group collected as a whole during the exploration.  In-character monetary reward = >1 BeetleYou can trade one shiny gold beetle for a bag full of regular beetles.
These will be accepted in stores and by other trolls as money,
and can give you a nice little fund boost. Score!
One more trip to the desert => 1 BeetleIf you want to gamble, you can spend one beetle to dig around
in the sand dunes nearby. If you get lucky,
you might get something nice.

Ganyma tipped who he thought was some kind of important yet down-on-her luck naval person by plunking a beetle into her hat. She looked like she'd seen things! And maybe dealt with kids just like he had. Ganyma smiled with fond memories.
"Oh, hey! Sarcel! Is that you?" Bellowed the troll. He rushed up to a familiar blueblood and her team. There was a very official looking blueblood- respectable- and a rather withdrawn orange blood. They didn't seem to have much on them in the ways of loot- Ganyma clutched his new parcel in one hand and fished around in his pockets. "Hey, I don't know if you're interested, but I've found these little guys in the desert and I can't take care of them. You know who'd want 'em?" He produced two gerbils. One of them immediately wiggled out of his grasp and cuddled against Piperi's leg. The other had a beetle stuck to it and was presented to Sarcel. Ganyma's pockets were an amazing thing.
"We should catch up some time!" Smiled the tealblood.

Tamiya decided to hand off her remaining beetle to the unfortunate soul. It would be better luck to give a lucky item as charity to those in need. Tamiya grumbled. She wanted to go home.
Unfortunately, she had missed her reservation at some (quite likely seedy, she bemoaned inwardly) Chittentown motel. Kabukidad mumbled something and she seemed hesitant, but turned to Sinter regardless. "You said you lived in Chittentown, yes?"

He needed to remember precisely what happened on this day of victory for the rest of his life. This night couldn't have possibly gotten any better!
Didero narrowly stopped himself from walking straight into the crowd of people surrounding the prize cabinet. Curiously, he peered between the bodies to see what was causing the ruckus.
Golden beetles were worth HOW much!?

Vremea was thankful. She was so horribly thankful— she didn't know higher bloods could be so nice. When the purpleblooded kid approached her at first, her heart stopped— she had looked like a wreck then, her hair slightly frizzed and her clothes torn in many places. But now, she was clean, albeit not in her normal clothes— she wore PANTS, for the first time ever, real pants that felt horribly restricting but covered all the necessary parts her old clothes couldn't. When she looked around, thinking about how annoying it was and how she wanted to leave already— she found two more, on the floor. Her heart leapt. Oh my god. Was her luck growing...? She sat down, rubbing her eyes and shaking the sand out of her hair a little. Out of nowhere, two more beetles fell on her lap. She pursed her lips tightly. Where were these coming from??? She shifted in her chair slightly before seeing one last person approach her. Milieu? What was she... Oh. Vremea blinked at her, then blushed,taking the beetle with great big hug. She thanked her and instantly went to buy a small package, unsure of it's contents but curious as to what they are.

Mili stared at the newly caught beetle. she had three then and while it was tempting to go and spend them on herself, a new idea came to mind. Shyly, she approached Vremea and offered her one of the golden bugs.
