"I don't like veggies." He grumbled. He'd eat them if they were put in front of him, but it wasn't something he'd ever ask for. Fruits he did enjoy. Sweets, as always. "Veggies belong on sandwiches as like.. an accessory to the meat."
"Oh, or garlic mashed potatoes. Those are actually really good."
If only Nevada knew of the great coffee war and the endless turmoil Otto had suffered because of it. "I need you to stop imagining me in a dress, Nevada." Otto warned with a grumble. He peeked over at her, catching her grin. "Stoppit!" He whined aloud.

She was totally grinning into the planting of her seeds and you couldn't stop her Otto. Even with your grumbling of vegetable hate and accessory to meat what even Otto.
"That is rude to the great and majestic vegetables Otto." She looked up at him and then back down, "Meat should be so lucky it's paired with vegetables, It's a full circle of life on a sandwich. Whatever is the meat, ate the veggies and now look where they ended up together. Slapped between two pieces of bread trying to be cozy friends." She waggled a finger from her spot, "No sandwich is good without some seriously loaded vegetables on it."
She snorted again, "Mash potatoes."
And then he warned her about her imagination and she looked up at him, smiling. "Too late, already there. Nothing you can do. There's no way you can distract me from my imagination." There was a way but he'd have to figure it out for himself, for now he got her chuckles and small muttered. "Pink bows, lace....ruffles."

"Pink?! Noooooo Stoppit!" He whined like a child now, stopping his work and rolling o the ground. "Not cool!" He needed to stop her before her imagination spawned into a minipet or something.
He rolled closer, bumping into her and trying to interfere with her work.

"Pink." She said louder, "With a pink apron with lots of ruffles and lace. Positively lolita my lover. it would really bring out your blue eyes and blonde hair..." She was onto the last row for the watermelons, curving dirt out to lay the seeds when he came rolling over.
She ignored it at first, smiling because nope, still imagining pink...
Then she sat up and slapped her hands on her hips. "What you, What...What do you want?" She poked him in the side. "I'll put you in a skimpy one next..." She threatened, eye full of mischievous mirth.

He glared up at her, then suddenly reached out and hooked his arms around her waist. He pulled her down and rolled over her, pinning her to the ground. "No, no and no. Been there done that. Allen took me to Tokyo once. And no, there are no pictures."

A small squeak escaped as she was yanked, rolled and pinned over her small pile of watermelon soon to be. A small thrill raced up her as she looked into said pretty blues and a giggle escaping. "What wait what?!?!" Photos of Otto in either pink, lace or ruffles?!?! or maybe even skimpy cosplay!?!?! She gasped and decided to not dwell on what was never meant to be for her eyes though it saddened her. Instead she looped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer for some serious make out action. "I'm glad your in sun Otto. I'm glad you're happy..." she nuzzled. "I'm really glad." Bittiface So much easier to tag on this phone. Off to work for now iluuuuuuuuu

Make out action was always a welcome activity. Even better in the warm sunlight. "I'm glad too.." He murmured back. Even if he didn't always look happy, he felt it. The dark weight of burden was being vanquished by sun. For now. "I'm happier." He leaned in, indulging in deeper kisses and the touch of her skin. He could always nag and worry about the loss of weight she carried, or whether she was sleeping, but he felt his time was better spent just enjoying her company. He didn't want to waste his days with her bickering over her choices. He and Stormy had done enough of that for now. He laced his fingers with hers, and wished deeply that moments like this wouldn't be so rare.

Nevada ran her hands up and down his arms, eventually splaying out like a lazy cat and soaking up the attention and sunshine heat. It didn't matter now, with a little roll and tumble, they were on cool grass and she was curled into his side. The hard work and heat and lack of sleep and person all eventually led to her eyes dropping and falling into a bit of a nap. She hoped Otto didn't mind.

Otto never minded. He held her close, his hand cradling her head to his chest as she slipped in for a nap. Any sleep she got was golden. Better yet was when she did it with him. He could watch over her, be with her. Pet her hair, kiss her head. He remained awake. He enjoyed the silence in the air, the warm tingle of the breeze, and the smell of soil and grass. He laid there in the warm sun with a girl he was in love with. What could be better than that?
