It was really helpful to hear that coming from Granny, the man feeling like he had someone on his side, nodding his head in response. "I believe you."
Only then did he truly realize that it was a -- ring she was weaving into the dreamcatcher, inwardly wondering why such a thing was important but he supposed he would know in time. For now he was content that even for a moment, he wasn't alone in this.
"Ah- thank you." And he handled it as if it was the most delicate thing in the world, eyes lingering on the object, still trying to process that -- a spirit would come from it. Darien turned back his eyes at the older woman, audibly gulping and obviously still terrified but that he was a little comforted by this was a huge step for him.
"A lot I don't understand for sure, but, again, I know I'll ..learn in time. I.. wont let you down." He didn't mean to sound so -- so dependent on her, biting his lip and tucking the item safely against himself. "I truly, truly appreciate it. I mean, just you talking to me about this.."

Granny's smile softened and nodded as Darien caught himself, correcting what he said to give himself a more independent attitude towards the adventure that awaited him.
"You don't have to worry about letting me down, Darien," she assured him with a soft chuckle. "Enjoy the rest of your day and know that there are others like you in this world, even in this town. Perhaps you could all learn something together."
