Salvador was breathing somewhat heavily from running along with the car. It was the sudden jolt that got his heart started and his lungs working hard for such a short sprint. The wolf stood there in the parking snarling at the car when it suddenly stopped. Out of the driver's seat came Amanda, though, she looked different now. No longer was she the ivory skinned blonde hair girl in the red dress. She was a tall gray wolf standing on two feet with full of anger. She was now raring for a fight. And then there was Salvador. In his current state, he was no match for Amanda. Unlike all other lycans, his powers fluctuated with the phases of the moon. During the new moon, he was better than any other wolf in the pack. And right just so happened to be the time of the new moon. What rotten luck.

It was rare that Salvador ever felt anything like fear. Right now, this girl had edge on him. She wasn't bound by any rituals where as Sal was. The only edge he had on her, was experience, but that wouldn't mean much if he wasn't in tip top shape. If he wanted to even have a snowflake's chance in hell for winning the fight he'd either have to use brain, or hope someone would come and break it up. Though, the latter wouldn't seem likely and it wasn't the wolf's style to back down from a fight. Salvador reached into his pocket pulled a case of cigars before lighting one in his mouth and sucking in a deep puff. Then, it came to him. He stared at the cigar as ashes fell to the pavement. The smoke. Salvador laughed and then looked to Amanda with an almost taunting gaze. "Smoke'em if ya got'em." He chuckled before inhaling the cigar again and waited for the female wolf to rush him. Just to make she did, Sal held the cigar between his middle and index finger. His middle finger visibly sticking out. For added measure, the wolf rubbed a little bit of salt in the wound with one last insult that he was sure Amanda would hear even even if he whispered it. "Come on, perra."

Amanda saw Sal as a mad man and knew the best way to be done with this fight would be a good firm bite to remind him of who was in charge around here. The woman would go for his arm and hold it for a good bit before letting it go. Amanda smirked as he continued his insults. "Big words for an womanizer alpha without a pack." The woman commented as she went after him. She went for his side without the cigar. If she could do this quick then she could go home soon.

The wolf was right. She was going to rush him. Though, that only the first part of Salvador's plan. He needed her to actually attack him. Even if it meant him coming into physical harm. No matter what she did, Sal was sure he would ok, so long as it was nothing too egregious. The lone arrogant wolf put the cigar from his hand into his mouth. It was going to be his only weapon in this fight against someone not bound by the latent powers of the moon. Salvador quickly readied himself for Amanda's attack. At the last possible second, he plan on countering with a big cloud of noxious cigar smoke to the face, even if this meant her clawing his face off chewing his arm like a doggy bone.

Amanda went for the attack and firmly bit down onto his arm and mad a growl, but a puff of smoke went into her face. Needless to say that the woman wasn't happy and slapped the man. "Pig." She snapped at him as her transformation wore off. She couldn't hold it for a long time. She was still a little young. Her naked body was an eyeful.

It was a good thing that classes had started so no one was around. The woman walked towards Sal again. She was used to people seeing her naked, at least others like them. She slapped again then headed to her car. She pulled out the dress that she had slipped off and gave Sal a glare.

It happened. It finally happened. Salvador felt the terrible bite of the female wolf come down on his arm. There was a loud crunching and snapping noise from his arm. Salvador could feel it. His bones fracturing under the pressure of the bite. This was going to need more than a good night's rest to work off later. No, Sal was going to need a medic of some kind to at least set bones before his basic regenerating powers could knit the bones back together.

Other than that, the wolf plan went accordingly. With all of his might, he was able to suppress his pain and follow through with blowing a large cloud of odorous smoke in Amanda face. She immediately let the wolf go, but slapped him so hard, the cigar flew out of Sal's mouth and he hit the ground on his good arm. Amanda then called him a pig. It didn't matter to him. Salvador had been called worse, though, pig felt refreshing. It wasn't like what others called him.

The wolf rolled onto his back, clutching his arm that seared in pain. he refused to acknowledge pain. Instead, he laughed. This kind of pain he hadn't felt in good long time. Not since pulling himself out building rubble from a carpet bombing Kuwait. Looking up, he saw Amanda back in her human form. Her skin ivory white and smooth. He got to see everything. "Ay sexy~" He commented, still resisting the swelling pain in his arm. It was just like him to quip even when things weren't looking their best.

Amanda then drew near him. "What? Come to say you want me now?" Sal then felt the sting of another slap to the face before she turned and went back to her to get the dress she was wearing before. "I see how it is. Playing hard to get." He said slowly getting to his feet. The wolf was still holding his arm. None of the healing would happen until the bones could be set. "It's fine. I've met plenty of girls like you. Iced over like pond in winter. But just you wait. I'll getcha sooner or later." Salvador then threw the girl a wink before turning back to where his bike was. He still needed to get gas.

Amanda tossed her hair back. "I would not sleep if you if you were the last wolf on earth. The only way that you could get to me is if my uncle consented to it." She was putting a barrier that he would never bring in place. Her uncle would never consent because he didn't care. "Go ******** a whore." She added. Her cousin was probably a good choice if he wanted. The woman pulled her dress over and got into her car before she drove away.

As he expected, the female wolf was crusing his name and giving him the same spiel many other woman in the past had given him. "I wouldn't have sex with you if you were the last person on earth...blah blah blah." It was the same thing every time. The Amanda mentioned something that did peak his interest. Her uncle would be the only way to ever sleep with her, without forcing himself on her.

In the end, Salvador took Amanda's cursing in stride as he made his way to his motorcycle. The wolf now beginning to somewhat regret getting into the fight. He now how to push his bike with one arm and the pain of a broken arm. After a while though, the fractured limb had gone numb and Salvador had made his way to the nearest gas station where filled up his bike. The gas station attendant there asked about why his arm seemed mangled up. "Oh you know, got into a fight a dog. Big dog. Big mad b***h of a dog." He replied with a wry smile. Then, for once it seemed Sal's luck was changing for a bit. The attendant there happened to be a part time student at the college studying. "I could try setting the bone for you and making a splint." He offered. The wolf gave a devilish smile as he pounced on the gas station attendee's kindness. "That would be mighty kind of you." Salvador said carefully placing arm on the counter for the med student to work on.

After a bit and some time making a makeshift splint for him, The med student had done all he could for Salvador. "Thanks kid." The wolf said, already feeling his bones trying to knit themselves back together. "I'd recommend you get to a hospital though." By this time, Salvador was halfway out the door. "No need." He said, and then left.

Zero never figured that he would get lost when stepping between spaces, but it wasn't as if he ever truly knew where he was going. A space in the air in the shape of a crescent moon began to quickly turn purple, then black, and then...nothing. It split open as if it were a door, and through it, Zero stepped in to the world. He was somewhat shaken by the method of travel, but it didn't show in his face, nor his stance. He stood with the upmost grace, seemingly taking the method of travel as if it were mundane in the same way as walking. He brushed his hair away from his face and took in his surroundings, seeing nothing out of the ordinary, but the smells emanating from the place were, unmistakeably, filled with very strange things.

A familiar, however, unwelcome smell. It was vertical. Rising, sinking, never fading, but there hiding in the horizen. Were he to compare it to anything, he would compare it to the forests of Was, which were more than likely far removed from this place. His amethyst-colored eyes were quickly downcast as he focused on his now matured appearance, which had come at quite an inopportune time. He had been quite unable to control when and why he looked like this, but it was a welcome distraction from the monotony. With a quick check of the time, he discovered that he might be turning back soon enough as long as he didn't end up doing anything entirely stupid. Easy enough.

He was dressed entirely in black clothing, including his jacket, pants, and almost everything about him. The only things that were different were his white collared shirt, and brown boots. His attire was a bit old, but it was not lacking in elegance. His right arm had a red band tied around his wrist, and although it was tied tightly enough to constrict blood flow, it wouldn't affect Zero. Beyond being a vampire, he didn't exactly have a right arm anymore after that incident so long ago. It was a very convincing construct, but there were obvious things pointing to it being fake, such as the ball joints, or the lines showing where his arm disconnected at.

"Let's see what today brings. Maybe I can actually get lucky..." Zero muttered to himself, waving his steel blade once across the air and ripping open that same spot in space. He tossed in a now sheathed blade and pulled a bag out of the hole in space before it closed. It would've been very heavy for a standard human, but Zero was far from standard. While he couldn't exactly conjure portals with his hand, he could come close. Close enough to summon one of his books to his hand, at least. He cracked open the dry and cracked pages of the ancient tome, wondering what other knowledge he could draw from it this time. It was a gift, after all, for his arrival, so he wished to see what it was all about. Even whilst attending classes, he had a serious job to do. Perhaps, just as last time, he would find himself wrapped up in uncontrollable circumstances, but be an integral player in solving the issue. Or perhaps he'd be entirely normal for the duration of his stay. It didn't really matter until it happened, now did it?

Basima The Dhampir

Look at me smile....

Basima was always running around town for her father. Even thought she was in high school, she already knew her way around the college. It was much bigger than her high school, but she knew her way around it like the back of her hand. Today's mission was to bring one of the professors a translate scrip that could be tracked back to the time of her father. As for as she knew, he was the last native speaker alive.

As the girl walked towards the office there was a change in the air. Something was off. She knew that much. Basima's hand reached for the enchanted dagger her father told her to carry around. There was nothing like a pissed off 5,000 year old vampire on a murderous rampage to make the girl want to protect herself and others. The girl slowly looked down each hallway while she walked.

Step by step, bit by bit. She was going to keep an eye out. After a while she found a lone figure standing in the darkness. She thought that most of the students went home and only a few professors lagged behind. "Hey. What are you doing here?" She called out to see what the figure would do in response.

...Beware of Daddy.

Caught in the act? Perhaps, but it wasn't as if he were skulking around in the shade. He sighed briefly, closing the tome and throwing it in to the air, after which it turned black and vanished completely. The voice that spoke was far from aggressive, but he would take no chances given that he had recently tossed his blade. "Right now? Hoping you don't actually plan to use that on me." Zero raised his hand, condensing his energy in to a ball to create a light so he wouldn't cast such a threatening shadow. He offered her a fanged smile, but he was far from threatening. His smile was soft, and free of malice. Despite that, he saw her without needing the light.

"I should probably introduce myself so you don't put a hole in me. My name is Nero Zarathustra Valentine, but most people just call me Zero." He bowed at the hip, but very briefly since he wasn't one for exposing his neck unlike his younger self. "I'm actually looking for a primer to help in translation of that book I just threw. May I ask what you're doing here?" Or...why she had a dagger. He wasn't going to push that issue since, for any reason, if he became a child again he would be very killable. For all of his strength now, it didn't matter how much he had if he died as a child. It'd stop his transforming, certainly, but not in the way he wanted.

Basima put her dagger back in it's holder. He didn't seem to be threatening in any way, but she didn't remove her eyes from him. She could see his face well enough in the dark. When he grinned the girl knew that he was a vampire. Each family had it's own set of skills and his seemed to be more magic based then that of her and her father.

"Dagger is gone."
She said before she did her own bow in politeness. "I have no name other than Basima. My father and master is a vampire lord and god who has lived since the time of Ancient Egypt." She gave the other vampire her title and rank. She didn't say that the vampire lord was her biological father for good reason. "I have come to return and document that he translated for a professor." The girl added.

Zero crossed his arms over his chest, figuring that the man must have been very old and very powerful, more than likely akin to his own father. Of course, the "god" part didn't threaten him given that he had faced heaven itself and broken its steel arms, but at the time, he was assisted by hundreds upon hundreds of different creatures and people. He knew his place here, and wouldn't assume to usurp any titles for as long as he was vulnerable. He was the last person to assume to do battle with anyone, knowing very well that it was better to avoid combat with others. It wasn't the fact that he was weak, and certainly not at this age, but he simply didn't like fighting.

Zero actually ended up smiling a bit more brightly as he opened his mouth to speak. "I'm nobody special. A b*****d prince and son of a prostitute. I don't know how long he has existed, but...ah, I shouldn't bore you with my life story." Even as a fully-mature male in his line, he had yet to see the full extent of his own abilities. He knew next to nothing about himself, and most of his past was even obscured from him. It was all very cliched and sad, but it wasn't the reason he was here. "He could be a primer, then? Could he translate this script? I've been trying to cross-reference certain words, but I don't understand much of it."

Zero snapped his fingers and materialized the tome in his hand again, showing Basima the ancient dialect. To Zero it resembled nothing but a bunch of scribbles, but it was much more important to him than that, of course. The language used was long dead, and more to the point, a combination of multiple dead languages and bound together in some uncomprehensible mess. A challenge, to be sure, as translation wasn't even enough. It was a cipher, hidden messages written in coding that was impossible to understand until translated. Even then, it wasn't something one could understand easily. It confused and frustrated Zero to no end, which is why he was looking for a primer in the first place.

Basima took the tome and looked at the writing. Each language set hand it's own style. It wasn't cuneiform, ancient Egyptian, None of the east Asian languages matched it, It had to be a European language or a language similar to Arabic or Indian. "Do you know anything about it's history. My father could look at it and probably at least send you on the right direction." Th egirl answered with a gentle smile as she thought about what else it could be.
