"Zeke, wrap yourself in a Flamethrower," he shouted out hoping that it would limit the damage done to the charmander.
The Charmander did what he was told. The flamethrower then wrapped around him, combining with the gust, causing the flames to fling in several directions.

Mara underestimated her opponent, as chunks of flame scalded her balloony skin. She was angry... tired, but angry. With another ferocious gust, she blew out the flames and targeted Zeke once more.

Zeke was becoming exhausted, and the static electricity which surrounded him didn't help much. Lunging at the driftloon the Charmander once more reverted to using bite.

Once again, Mara was able to dodge her opponent's bite. She had a newfound sense of confidence - she could do this!
With a sassy little twirl, Mara whipped up another gust and sent it straight towards Zeke.

Zeke nearly fell from the last attack. His strength almost gone. Though determined the small fire lizard jumped up trying to bite the Driftloon once more.

Nearly blacking out right then and there from the bite attack, Mara gathered her last few shreds of strength and stayed afloat. If she could just land this last attack...!
"Come ooooon, Mara!" shouted Charlotte. "You can do it! Just one last Gust!!"
Mara whipped up another whirlwind and sent it towards Zeke. It was rather weak, but would it still be enough?

Zeke was hit with the attack and instantly fainted, the rest of his strength gone from him.
Zak returned his charmander to the its pokeball "Great job Zeke, you have really controlled your anger in this one. Take a nice long rest you deserve it"
The boy then turned to his opponent "Thank you for the battle," he gave a wave then left to get his charmander looked at, at the nearest pokemon center.

Mara would have smiled if she had a visible mouth and also wasn't about to collapse. She had finally gotten a victory!
"Yaaaay, great job, Mara! You won, all by yourself!!" Charlotte cheered from the trainer box. She returned Mara to her pokeball and jumped down. "I better get her to the pokemon center, she took a beating... but thanks a bunch for the battle!"
