Nevada shuffled behind Otto, her head drawn down and wary of others seeing her. Most everyone she knew, knew about her case and it...was less shaming. Since her talk with the two together, she kept whatever sanity she had strong. Clarity was more prone then the fiscal nightmares of darkness.
In one hand, was Otto's...in the other was a small box wrapped with snowflake Christmas wrap and ribboned with light blue ribbon.
"I'll try not to embarrass you..." She spoke quietly to Otto, smiling at him. "If I get bad, just..." She left the meaning hanging and tried to put on her best happy face. This was Stormy's birthday after all!

"You'll be fine." Otto assured her flatly, "Just lemme know right away if you get uncomfortable." He could bail her out, easily enough. He hated parties and gatherings, but it was for Nevada. He'd do almost anything for her. He made sure to drag her all the way in to see Stormy, in case she had any doubts.

"Not to long ago, I'd be the one bailing YOU out.." She teased, looking around. Oh god, Finn and Jack were here. She didn't mind Finn as much now, there was a odd...disconnect, a sense...of understanding she supposed between them. He could ruin it by opening is mouth and saying something to her..or he could leave her be.
Jack on the other hand, she had no doubts would find anyway to needle her and she was so easy to break. She was relying so hard on Otto right now, to support her.
She kept as close as she could to him, unusually quiet and less flirty. She'd talk if talked too but...She was here for Stormy, to show her best friend that she still trusted her and loved her and wasn't giving into what she wanted too.

It seemed Abbi was pretty busy for the moment, so Finn turned his attentions towards Dory first, who had apparently wandered over just to punch him in the shoulder and then, he assumed, make some odd effort at trying to get Finn to feel bad about the fact that he didn't have any alcohol. Shoving the man for the punch, he shrugged his shoulders, and pulled out the flask again. "I don't go very far anymore without a drink at the ready. You never know when you're going to need one." He held it out towards the other man, feeling his phone vibrating in his pocket and pulling it out to see who had messaged him back. Ripley, it seemed. He punched in a quick reply, but this time kept the phone out, just in case he would need it again. Enoh Love Text to Ripley: Need a hand with anything? ;D Text to Ripley: Disregard the winking face. Force of habit after texting Fini too often. Text to Ripley: But really ;D ;D ;D Text to Ripley: Hurry up Text to Ripley: I'm lonely Text to Ripley: Better hope Abbi never reads your messages man because I'm going to spam you all of the time now. He could have gone on and on, and likely would have except that he then decided that maybe he should actually text Fini and find out if she was back from her stint at the Haunted House this morning, and find out if she'd like to join them. Kyrieko Text to Fini:There's a party for Stormy's birthday and I don't really want to be here but having a beautiful woman at my side might make it more bearable. Text to Fini: So if you're back yet, get your gorgeous butt to the common room for cake and whiskey and mostly me. Phone back into his pocket, he took another swig from his whiskey, when suddenly, Ripley. "That sounds like a challenge to me." He called after the man, who was there and gone faster then he could ask him how his arm was doing. Of course, Jack was there to fill the void directly afterwards. "She is pretty good with a whip, but maybe not in the way you're referring to, Jackie-boy." He was quick to retort, while receiving his second hit to his shoulder that night. "No need to be jealous, though. I can come to your room and give a demonstration of what I mean later, if you like." Best way to get Jack to ******** off. Gay jokes straight off the bat. And suddenly more insults and the other man was gone. Leaving Finn alone with the Frenchman. "Well, I guess it's just you and me, gorgeous." He looped an arm around Dory's shoulders, glancing back towards Abbi, who now had a Ripley pressed up against her back. He'd have to go and say hi to her more properly later or something.

Tuck hadn't forgotten. Nope, of course he hadn't forgotten. That would mean that he was a terrible Moon brother, and Tuck wasn't any such thing. Okay, he totally ******** was because he had totally ******** forgotten that it was Stormy's birthday, and he felt awful about it even if he'd never admit to forgetting something like that. Gnat's birthday had always been easy to remember; it was his own goddamn birthday, and because of that he'd never forgotten her birthday. "I BROUGHT MUSIC," Tuck half-shouted as he nearly barreled into Evan's back. "Man, get out of my way, I got this ******** ratty a** boombox I need to get goin'. I ain't sure how long these runes are gonna last, neither." He shoved past the Sun and immediately set up camp. Tinny music filtered into the room. Tuck cleared his throat and said to nobody in particular, "It's my sister's music." And then, in a lower voice, "But this s**t was my jam back in the day."

"Bear hugs??" Abbi blinked wide eyes up at Dakota as she pulled out her phone in a fumbling manner before she wiggled it at Dakota. "She'll be here soon! Gotta get everyone gathered so we can all shout 'SURPRISE', yanno!" She laughed and did not notice the text from Finn, instead seeing the man himself. A hand immediately shot out to clutch at his new coat, a pout turned up at him. "He's not the Ice King..." Was her mumbled reply before she realized he was very busy texting and she slipped off, after another hearty drink, of course. Since Dylon had texted her she figured she ought to reply and was in the middle of doing so when someone grabbed her from behind. The phone, as though it too were scared, leapt into the air and the girl had to grab at it a few times before she caught it, only to nearly drop it once more when the person doing the grabbing spoke. "R-Ripley! You s-startled me! HI!" Ah! Hugs! Ah! Public hugs! Ahhhhhhhhhh *^* She laughed and went up on tip toes to better be pulled back before she danced forward to turn around to see him. "Thanks for coming! There's some drinks and Dory made a cake but we can't eat it until Stormy gets here! Oh! Hi Bix!" She snatched at Ripley's hand because she could before she waved her phone at the other man. "I'm Abbi! Its nice to officially meet you and all. If you wanna set it next to the cake on the table that'd be great!" This was fun? This was such fun! Being a hostess and chatty and out going was fun? It was! It really was! Giddy and quite impressed with herself, the girl pocketed the phone and drug Ripley over to Tuck as he entered. "MUSIC! I totally forgot ohmigosh! Thanks Tuck, you're the best!" When the song played she laughed, before she waved a hand at Evan. "You're not late! Just in time, really! I'm going to text her now and see if she'll come down!"A quick wave to Nevada and Otto (why did Nevada look so down? She looked kinda sick... Poor thing!) before the text was sent. Ol-j-man Text to StormyHey! I need your help with this thing in the dorm common room, ya think you could come down real quick? (♥ó㉨ò)ノ♡

"Jack Hawthorn." He shook her hand and put on a smile while thoroughly ignoring Finn's innuendos (which were quick to kill boners if he heard more than one word). Then horribly, horribly 90s music began playing: boy bands. And then Abbi let slip it was Stormy's party.
Naturally.
Letting Sherry's hand go, he sighed a little. "Well, as long as this party doesn't get infested by mutant bugs like the one on Halloween, it couldn't really get . . . worse." Or was he tempting fate by saying so? "Anyway, I believe I've seen you more on the infirmary side of the labs?"
----------
Anyone who knew Stormy knew that she was pretty much just a call for help away, especially these days.
AyeAvast Text to AbbiSure thing! Give me a minute. Around ten minutes later, having had to piece back together a semblance of something happier, she trekked to the Moon building. Her pockets hid small bundles of Sweet Tarts (as candy was a great way to motivate them through work), one of which was clutched in each hand as she prepped herself for social contact. One person wouldn't be bad at all, and Abbi seemed understanding; maybe the Moon's energy would be refreshing at this point.
But as Stormy approached the common room, she began to hear things: music, people talking . . . Had Abbi planned a party of some sort? It sounded a bit late to ask for help, though maybe someone had made a mess . . .
She stopped about a step past the threshold, hands in her pockets, and scanned the room for the redhead, flipping between elation at seeing all the friendly faces, surprise that Nevada was there (relief that Otto was with her), and confusion when he saw Jack and Finn. Shortly afterwards she located Abbi near someone she thought was Bix at first, then realized wait Bix was over there this was just a stranger hi hello stranger sorry ahaha . . .
"Um, did you need something . . .?"

"Jack," Sherry repeated, making mental note, completely oblivious to most of the comments and all of the history here. She was just happy to be meeting knew people. She gave a sigh of agreement. "It shouldn't be too bad." Dorm common room should be safe. Though...she'd have thought the showers safe once upon a time, too. "Should be just fine." It was a party for her friend, after all. "Ah! Yes. I tend to help out with the nursing and general work. I don't really have a head for the super-science stuff. What field of work are you in?"
