Mikhail flashed a smile at Rene " Y-yeah. I don't cook much and cracking eggs is one of those things you can do... Or you cant. " As if to broke his words, as he dumped the "cean" egg into the blender with everything else, he attempted to crack another one, this one taking several shards of shell with it.

With a disgruntled snort Mikhail attempted to fish the pieces out with a spoon, puncturing the yolk and turning it into a swirled mess of raw egg while getting them all out, and then dumping the rest into the blender.

Rene obviously had more faith in Mikhail's baking ability then he did, but then again he was probably just being nice " Oooh, I don't know, I think I should just stick to instant R-ramen and take-out. Its probably safer for e-everyone " he said with a grin, dumping another egg into the blender, which was quickly filling up with egg goop.

"Just takes practice. I use to be way worse. I'm talking shell in the bowl, egg not in the bowl worse. At the sight of Mikhail fishing out the shells, Rene tried to stifle a snicker that crept up his throat. "Well that's one egg down. You've got potential though! I think you can do it. Just need to work on it ya know? ...Think of it like one of your machines or something? Only instead of nuts and bolts, you're using food products."

Once all the eggs where safely in the blender, with some minor shell fishing from both of them, Rene grinned as he wriggled his brows at Mikhail. "Ready?" It was really too bad for his partner though, because in his excited haste, Rene slammed on the button, bringing the machine to life. The downside?

Rene forgot to stick the lid back on.

Spinach, Egg and cheese exploded everywhere, coating the boys in a sticky, gummy mess. Fumbling, Rene managed to turn the blasted thing off before blinking. And then he did the next best thing.

He started laughing.

" Y-yeah... but the chances of my machines giving someone food p-poisoning aver very small... unless that's what I designed them to do. " He said with a chuckle. Still, Rene's confidence in him was refreshing, and id made him willing to maybe try baking something at home again. Maybe some of those cookies that the recipe comes on the back of the chocolate chip bag? Maybe he could even bring a few in to Rene, as a thank you. Or would that be weird? His brain was so focused on that particular question that he looked up just in time to see Rene's finger descending in slow motion towards the pause button.

He also noticed the lid sitting on the counter top. He reached out a hand and got a " H-hey " out before everything exploded into a yellowish egg goo tornado.

Bits of spinach and cheese shot through the air, peppering the two students, their hair, their uniforms, their counter... just about everything. Mikhail had come closer to the counter, and just kind of now had both hands braced on the counter as the angry wurring of the machine slipped away into stunned silence, the entire classroom starring at them and snickering.

Rene blinked at him. He blinked at Rene. And then suddenly, the shorter student burst into laughter. He didn't care that the class was gawking at them, he didn't care that they were probably going to fail this assignment. He didn't care that he was currently covered in bits of dairy and spinach.

It was a completely mesmerizing sound, one of pure happiness.

There was the sound of the teacher clearing her throat and tapping her foot on the ground. It was just then that Mikhail realized he had been staring with enchanted delight at his classmate, and suddenly the boys dark brown skin flushed as be blushed all the way up to the roots of his hair.

The teacher sighed as she surveyed the damage done. " Alright you two. Spend the rest of this class getting this mess cleaned up. And Detention after school. You both ignored basic safety measures, and there is always a penalty for that. " She said, wagging a finger between the two boys before she turned back to the rest of the class " Alright everyone, back to work. We still have a half an hour left. " She walked off, all business to survey the rest of the work from the other students.

Only when she had walked away did Mikhail look back to his partner, and grin at him like a giant dork " Ive never had d-detention before. " But then again he had never been covered head to toe in eggs and spinach before either.

Oh god his sides hurt from laughing. The shorter teen wrapped an arm around his stomach, hand fisting in his uniform as he tried to fight off the on slaughter of laughter. The other, came up in front of his mouth to almost cover it. Rene tried his hardest to stop laughing when he heard the teacher behind him, but it was a lost cause. "I'm sorry!" He gasped between giggles. "It's totally my fault. I got a little too excited and forgot to put the lid on.."

When the teacher dished out their punishment, Rene just stood there biting his bottom lip despite the smile that graced his face. When she finished, he just nodded and muttered a 'Yes Ma'am' before going over to one of the drawers and pulling out some dish towels and wash cloths. "I'm sorry." Rene said, turning back towards Mikhail and flashing him a sheepish smile. "I'm usually a lot more careful then that. ...I can get a bit excited sometimes though.. I didn't mean to get you in trouble." He said as he passed Mikhail a towel to clean himself with. "Detentions not as scary as you think. They just make you sit around for thirty minutes or so. Depending on who you have for it, you could think of it like a free period? To do homework, goof off, sleep. Whatever." Though come to think of it, this was his first detention too. "Guess we'll be hanging out a bit longer."

Then he glanced at their little kitchenette and the mess he had caused. "If you wanna go grab the mop, I'll start on wiping down the counters and the cupboards?" Together they'd have this cleaned up in no time.
