She smiled at him. In truth, she did not fall on the ice very often: she could walk on it with grace and calm, and not have any trouble as far as anyone could tell. But that did not mean she was above having bad moments, and sometimes she did get knocked over by the force of the wind, or just by not paying enough attention.
Still, it was not as often as for others.
She looked at him as he laid down and then moved to lay down near to him as well, smiling at him sheepishly.
"Oh, I'll show you the path when the winds let down a bit, and we can actually see a few feet ahead of us, at least. It is difficult to see through a solid sheet of ice, though, so I don't blame you for not knowing where we are." She laughed, shaking her head and looking at peace now. She watched the snow and imagined everyone suddenly learning to like the snow. It would certainly help, but she doubted that they would really change all that much.
While it was nice to imagine, she much preferred her current company than trying to drag everyone out here in the middle of snow storms. She knew he would appreciate the beauty of it, or at least she had been hoping he would. With others, it wouldn't be as special.
"It might be selfish, but I like this place too much to let others potentially ruin."

As Elsa scooted closer as well, Tikahn lifted his head to smile just a bit at her. This was nice, he had to admit. He never thought he'd befriend the queen of the pride, nor did he ever imagine her to be so kind and gentle. The rumors said she was as cold and bitter as the storms she had cursed the pride with, but they couldn't be any further from the truth. "True...that, and I think we could fit a cub or two in here with us that that would be it, let alone another full grown lion," he said with a little laugh, imagining the pride trying to squeeze in to the cave to get a look at the storm. "No...they can stay on the island and ride out the winds there. I'm sure there's a few spots that offer a nice view." That and most of the lions weren't fond of the cold when the storms got like this. They stayed tucked up in their homes with their families to stay warm. Only those that didn't mind the winds...or those that were heading home after time in the rouge lands like him...would truly enjoy the beauty the storm had to offer.

Elsa had spent far too much time on her own. It was as much her own choices as it was by the will of others, who did not want to be near her. She never wanted to cause any trouble, and as a strange addition to the royal litter, she never felt like she really belonged. It hardly mattered now, since she was the last of that family, and was the only one the pride could call Queen.
She felt a shudder move through her at the mention of cubs, though it wasn't attached to a conscious thought. She blushed a bit, feeling the warmth of it under her fur, but chuckled despite herself and smiled at him, nodding his head.
"Maybe we'll find all those nice spots, some time," she said, knowing it was important for her, and her pride members, to know the lands around them. For fun or for important reasons like defense or protection. She sighed and got a little more comfortable, resting next to him and feeling comfortable. "Thank you for being so kind to me, Tikahn... it means a lot to me. I mean... more than I know how to say..." She looked at him, shuffled her paws against the floor, then moved to nuzzle him sweetly. It was a quick gesture, but she couldn't help how shy and bashful she was, looking thoroughly embarrassed as she stared at the floor.

"Oh...you don't need to thank me," Tikahn said with a tiny smile, although he was glad to hear it meant a lot to her. He knew it must be tough to walk in her paw prints, having to lead a pride that had many members who thought she had brought a curse upon their lands. It was a thankless job, that was for sure. He was happy that he got to give her a respite from all that. The nuzzle caught him off guard completely, and for a moment he was frozen to the spot. This time it wasn't because the queen had nuzzled him, it was because Elsa had, the lioness he was getting to know and enjoying the company of. He ducked his head after a moment and lifted his paws, pressing them over his ears as his whole body heated up in embarrassment. "That...ha...actions are....louder than words sometimes, right?" he laughed weakly, trying to get a hold of himself. Why did he always act like this when pretty lionesses were close? He took a deep breath and let his paws slide off his ears, forcing himself to lean in and up as he raised his head, catching Elsa lightly under the jaw. He returned the nuzzle before pulling away, positive he'd set he snow outside on fire if he happened to venture out right now. He was so embarrassed but very happy at the same time, and it was an odd mix of emotions. "You...thank you, too. For being so kind to me. You're...you're a really great lioness, Elsa, and I'm glad I can help you feel more...normal, I guess is a good word. Even though you're far from normal. Because you're very kind and pretty and just all around niceness and...and I think I'll stop talking now."

Elsa smiled at him, feeling her skin burning under her fur. She was so embarrassed, but she was enjoying herself and imagined this was what it was like to be a normal lioness, to not be born a Queen or destined to rule a pride. And certainly not cursed. She felt the farthest from cursed than she ever had, and it was lovely.
She watched him as he hid himself, laughing lightly. It was a soft and warm sound, affectionate and sweet.
After he returned the nuzzle she felt very much at peace, and took the risk to just scoot closer to him and rest against him. She smiled and closed her eyes, leaning against his body and getting comfortable easily. She could get used to something like this, having someone there, enjoying his company and not feeling anything but good things. She liked it quite a lot.
"You can keep talking if you want... or we could stay here... and just enjoy this time... if you wanted to spend more time with me..." she looked at him bashfully for a moment, but then ducked her head and continued to lean against him, rubbing him gently. She closed her eyes and took a slow breath. If he allowed her to, she could stay there forever.

Elsa's touch and words made Tikahn nod quickly. Having her lay up against him like that was very nice, and he certainly wouldn't mind spending even more time with her. The snow outside was starting to settle, but only just. They had a bit more time here before their main excuse blew over...then it would just be enjoying one another's company that kept them in the cave.
"I think I'd get in trouble if I spent as much time as I wanted to with you," he said with a strained laugh. He'd be slacking off on his job, and he really couldn't keep her from the needs of the pride. That wouldn't be fair. For now, though, he soaked in the touches and attention, returning them where he could by nuzzling his nose against Elsa's cheek or ear when she ducked her head.
"It would be rather selfish of me to hog you all to myself when there's a whole pride of lions out there that need you." He fell silent after that, silently watching the storm outside and the sun streaming through the flakes, his chin resting lightly on Elsa's head.
