Dream Log Updated:

After falling for too long, Scheel's curiosity for the enchanting female figure was waning and he began to wonder whether his dream was finally going to change. One of his arms reached far out enough to grab something soft, so he squeezed tightly. A muffled voice cried in surprise. He wasn't through with this dream yet. Not when he just found her. Crushing his eyes closed, Scheel began to react to the bright lights swimming around his vision. The cozy pair of arms closed around him and pressed against his back. A pair of breasts rested on his shoulders and the smell of mint and Baby's Breath alternately filled his nostrils. The woman's cool cheek pressed against his ear as she whispered comforting, but inaudible sounds. Scheel felt his body slide to the floor.

She wasn't so hard to hear this time. It was almost as if she were laying next to him in his bed. The bright lights made Scheel's eyes twitch. The woman was trying to get hime to regain consciousness from his dream by pressing her cool lips to his forehead and eyes. Her head cocked to one side over his body as he curled and uncurled his fists. The woman's voice, finally clear, brought his focus back to the present, "You need to wake up now,"! A bit of drool escaped his mouth and he slowly batted his eyes awake.

Consciousness was beginning to hurt more than the lack of sleep. It was time to see a doctor.

Role play with Anderson, Aki Ana's character:

(Lee smile Scheel was sitting in the waiting room at the doctors office with his elbows on his knees. His sleep hadn't gotten any more restful, even though the images were lovely. It wasn't just at night. The dreams would come even during the day, leaving him exhausted stretched out on the kitchen or living room floor. He had a bruise on his cheekbone and a black eye to show for it.

"It's nice to see you again, Anderson. How did it go, huh?" He smiled with good nature as the older man took a seat across from him in the waiting room.

(Aki smile "A pleasure to see you again, my friend." Anderson leaned forward to shake Scheel's hand after he sat, smiling over the rims of his thick glasses. He settled back into his chair, ignoring the buzz of the waiting room as nurses drifted past and patients murmured on cell phones. "How did what go? The...date?"

He laughed, taking off the glasses and rubbing the bridge of his nose with one large hand. "She is a woman beyond compare. Her company was a welcome treat." Anderson was deliberately enigmatic...after all, gentlemen never kiss and tell. "With any luck, I will be seeing her again soon. And how about you, son? Looks like you had a rough evening..."

(Lee smile With a heavy sigh, Scheel touched one hand to the bruise and winced. "It wasn't a rough evening, not really. Sweet dreams. I just didn't see them coming." He was almost as vague as Anderson, but he laughed off the strange admission. Until he talked to a doctor he didn't even have a name for his sudden sleeping spells.

"Are your dreams getting any less awful?" He felt bad for the old guy, but at least his dreams didn't leave him looking like he was assaulted.

(Aki smile Anderson didn't look like he'd been assaulted, but he certainly looked like he'd missed a few nights of sleep. "They...no. They aren't." If anything, the haunted look intensified. Anderson actually looked slowly to one side, and then the other, as though he was expecting to see something in the very waiting room. The old man's eyes lingered on the gilded mirror over the reception desk.

"I've been through a lot in my life, Scheel. But this is like...someone else is dumping their troubles on me as well. All the troubles of their whole life, every night." His smile was wry. He didn't want to unload on the young man any more than he wished to shoulder the fantastic and phantasmal.

"Nothing a few pills can't fix, I hope." A brunette nurse poked her head into the waiting room, and called for a Mrs. Garcia. Anderson fell silent until the woman shuffled from the lobby. "I remember last time I-"

Anderson fell silent, trailing off mid sentence. The finger of one hand twitched, a subtle gesture directing Scheel's attention towards the large mirror behind the reception desk. There, in the reflection where Anderson should have been sitting was a jaunty fellow with a dark smirk and wild, curling wings. He grinned at the old man, eyes narrowing, and licked his finger tips slowly before smoothing his dark hair over in a parody of Anderson's hairstyle.

(Lee smile Scheel wasn't dense. He followed Anderson's gesture easily and wondered what the elderly gentleman could be motioning towards. His eyes roamed the room slowly. There were leather chairs and the children's play area with little wooden beads that slid along brightly colored tracks. His eyes fell on the mirror and he noticed the strange reflection.

At first Scheel smiled. "That's quite a trick! Ha, nice one." He grinned and looked at Anderson again but the man didn't seem to be joking. He was still looking at the mirror. Scheel stopped smiling and looked at the mirror with wide eyes. "It that real?"

(Aki smile Anderson nodded slowly, eyes still fixed on the ghastly reflection. The Spector leaned forward in his chair even as Anderson did.

"You see it." He said, voice low and pitched only to reach Scheel. Anderson's hands were right on the arm rests. In the image, his terrible youthful doppleganger walked his fingers down the arms of the chair as though it were a miniature runway with twisted playfulness.

Anderson opened his mouth to confront his nightmare, eyes locked with the reflection as Scheel stared at the both of them. Another nurse stepped into the room, breaking his line of sight, and after she passed it was only his own harried reflection showing back at him.

"Scheel? The doctor will see you now."

(Lee smile Scheel jerked as the nurse passed and the image vanished. For a moment, he'd seen it clear as day. Suddenly he felt grateful that his own dreams were so kind.

"Sorry man. I have to go. How about next week, huh?" To be honest he was a little spooked, but he tried his best to smile. Whatever pills the doctor gave him he hoped they were good ones. With one last wave he followed the nurse through the door and left the haunted old man behind.
