"I wonder how far you'd go based on casually remarks and suggestions," Jade mused aloud. "You're like, one shaky step away from full on windigo mode, aren't ya?" She eyed the male critically, "Of course you're not going to be much of a threat if you don't even know how to get back on your feet..."

"Back on my feet? I can get back on my feet! Wanna know why? Cause I get knocked down, I get up again. Aint never gonna give you up, never gonna break your heart. How do you break a heart? Can you fix it with glue? What is glue made of?" he asked. Then he blinked confused, and realized he was still on the ground. He rolled a bit and started getting up. "Leaves stuck to me, shouldn't leaves leave?"

Now the sane part of Jade's mind, the part that she knew she Really should listen to, was saying it was time to leave herself. This guy was clearly crazy, a few pineapples short of a fruit salad, a few slices short of a loaf, a few…. well the list could just go on forever. But she had to admit, he was an entertaining soul, or something like that, and the mare also had to admit she was intrigued. Or crazy. Yep, definitely intrigued or crazy... Regardless the male was looking at her again with that vapid look and had indeed managed to climb back to his feet all on his own. That was at least something. She narrowed her eyes and began circling the male. He didn’t exactly seem like a danger to anyone but himself. And, Ok, fine – she could admit it – she really wanted to see if he was going to trip over his own four hooves trying to follow her or if his head would just spin around like an owl’s….it was a valid question, especially after everything else she’d seen that day.
"Do you even know what you're saying?" Padmé Jade asked tilting her head inquisitively. "I mean, any of what you're saying? Because I gotta admit, I don't know what half of it is. Or even where it comes from. Where do you come from?" she asked suddenly. She stopped and felt the blood rush from her face, “Oh my gosh, I’m talking like you now!?!? Is it contagious? It must….” She started pacing frantically. “How did this even happen to me?”

He tried to follow her in circles, stumbling over himself and nearly falling several times. He stopped when his hoof caught in a root. He tried to pull it out as she spoke, tried, tried then decided he liked it there. He listened to her talk. "You like me? You really like me?" he gasped happily. "I could jump, I could sing, except my hoof is stuck. stuck stuck stuck, stuck in the muck. stick in the muck? Stuck in the mud? Mud music?"

"Talk like you," she enunciated with a deep sigh. "And stop pulling at it like that, take a step backwards and then pull towards your body, that should fix you right up."

He gave her a confused look. His hoof was stuck, how could he step back? But she seemed smart, so he tried, and didn't move, so he tried pulling towards himself. Pain shot up the trapped leg as the other legs all jerked in towards his body and he fell, back down on the ground. His leg popped free, hurting something awful. "It worked!" he said, smiling brightly as tears of pain came to his eyes. "I owe, I owe. so it's off to work I go. I got to work...work...work...and imagine that you're there...with me..." he sang softly, eyes fluttering closed against the pain.

"Oh for the sake of the spirits," Jade muttered moving closer to get a better look at the stallion. "What have you done now?"

He looked up at her. ", I've been waiting for someone like you. But now you are slipping away... oh. Why, why does fate make us suffer? There's a curse between us, between me and you," he sang at her, voice shaking from the pain. His leg hurt....

"Oh yes, there's a curse alright," the mare growled as she examined the stallion's leg. It was a little swollen but it didn't look serious. No bones were sticking out, at least. "The curse that I Always manage to find the crazy ones. How does that even happen anyways? Am I carrying magnets around with me or something. Looks likes a bad sprain," she added as an after thought. "Give it a day or two, don't put too much weight on it and you should manage ok." She eyed the stallion and added as an afterthought to the after thought. "Relatively ok."

"Okay, okay, get it got it good. Good good good. Good vibrations. Good. Good. Good. Good vibrations. Do do do do do.... do do do.... do do do do.... do do do." he sang from his place on the ground. His head rocked back and forth as he sang through is pain.

"Yeah, you're doing really well," she grumbled shaking her head. "Come on, you will be fine in a little time. Nothing much to do for it now. Except avoid trees in the future, maybe avoid everything....have you ever considered living in a bubble?"

"Bubble?" he asked, looking up at her. "Bubble bubble toil and trouble, baskets weave and on the double. Bubble bubble bubble yum bubble bubble bubble gum. Annie, get'cher gum!" He cried, sounding alarmed. He looked around, wide eyed, moving his head as best he could from the ground. Then suddenly he tilted back his head and began... well... it would be polite to call it singing... screeching, however would be more accurate. "Tooooooooooomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, Tomorrow!" He blinked and looked at her, confused. "Who is Tomorrow?" And then after a beat, "My leg hurts."

Jade rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh, "Yeah, well my head hurts. We are just going to both have to manage to deal with the pain. And I told you, try not to put too much pressure or add any stress to the situation, or at least, you know, we try to avoid adding any more stress." She shook her head and eyed the now swelling leg critically. "Yeah, you should seriously considering learning how to live off in a bubble or something....you really need to be more careful. But for now, I suppose soaking that in cold water might help. Of course it only works if you can actually make it to a stream or some other location where you can find cold water..." Before the words were fully out of her mouth, Jade began to realize that just maybe she was getting herself in too deep this time. Way too deep. There were days when she really needed to learn how to keep her mouth shut.

"Find water?" he asked, head tilting to one side, ears flicking about. "Dowsing? I'm feeling Dowsy, are you dowsy? We sleep and then we find water? Wet wet water in the waterdeep? Jade arched an eye brow, "You want to wait? Take a little nappy time before we get that foot in to soak? Be my guest." She snorted with disdain. "Of course," she added smoothly. "You know the swelling will only get worse until then. But hey - if you want a hoof the size of that tree stump over there, don't let me stop you." She turned and started trotting away. "Enjoy your nap!"
