She felt the band tighten about her heart again, but this time with fear. She was afraid to show herself. It had been long since she'd let another see her....but she had spoiled his dinner with her game, and he was correct the least she could do was let him look upon her.
" Very well....."
With that she launched herself ground ward.
She landed in a dark part of the forest, and stepped forward into the sunlit ray that had returned to the woods.
The sun made the green in her fur stand out, and brought out the brown hues of hair making her look like a tree just come to life. She kept her head down for a moment before slowly raising her head to look at him, letting her shining green emerald eyes look into his for the first time.*

A small rustle of leaves, it surprised him as he waited for her to show. Turning towards the sound, and the ray of light, Yiska had to hold his breath. There was something about her that spoke of the forest. Feeling as if he should do something, he dropped his head and eyes down.
His body shook with wonderment as he came to thing of what she could be. "Thank you. For allowing me to see you."

*She stood still, barely daring to breathe, and then after looking at her he lowered his head. This was confusing. She cocked her head to one side and gazed at him. And then he thanked her. That surprised her.* " Thanks are not necessary, I deprived you and your family of food, and you are correct. it is the least I could do......"

Wondering if he should look at her. Wanting to look at her really, but afraid that the tales he had heard were true, he lifted his face but kept his eyes averted. Her eyes seemed to glow when they looked into his, like looking into his soul.
"There are more out there. And I disrupted your area. For that I am sorry." He still stole quick glances at her. Her fur was a marvel to look upon. Some talked of falling head over heels at first sight, but this was something different.

*Slowly she nodded, looking over him as though studying him, measuring him, head still tilted as she tried to figure out why he was suddenly so skittish* Yes there are others, and there is also other food, food that does not require killing. But we of the forest know that life is a great circle and death is not the end. I am sorry I stole your prey away for an idle game of mine. *Now it was her turn to look down and away. Not o.nly had she stolen food from the young but apparently he could barely stand to look at her....She sighed and again it was echoed in the shifting of leaves above her.*

He felt more than heard the sigh."You played a game? On me?" He couldn't understand..."Well I guess those of the forest and trees can get bored too." Seeing that she was looking down, he stepped towards her. "I know I am not the best around here, but is something the matter?"

*Sylvieanne nodded keeping her head down* You were so intent on hunting, not noticing the beauty that surrounded you, I was trying to get your attentions, so I tickled your nose with the trees......and.......and I have now taken food from your family, and to make up for that you said the least I could do was let you see me, and now you clearly do not like what you see......*Tears began to form in her deep emerald eyes as she kept her head down, the trees over head stirred and the shaft of sunlight was no more leaving her standing in the twilight gloom of shade.* You must chose another boon to ask of me......

"My lady, I have noticed the beauty." He stepped closer, swallowing his fear and seeing that the stories he had heard were not completely true. "Yes, I was intent on the hunt. The food is needed, but it can still wait. None of us are sick, most still in the prime form."
As he was close enough to see the tears, he touched her lightly. "No tears, please. The sun shone so bright that I could not see you well enough."

*Her fur was soft as the down of a leaf with the cushion of a moss bed below it. As he touched her she jumped back, skittish as the doe he'd been hunting earlier. Her eyes flew up to meet his as the tears spilled down her cheeks* I still took away your food.....I just.....I couldn't bear to see you kill her. I've watched her and her young fawn drink from that stream many a time. And unless you harm a tree I am not supposed to interfere......
*she looked away again, finding her breathing coming faster and heavier with some unknown emotion- she hadn't found his touch unpleasant, but it had startled her, and she had felt a....a jolt of some kind, that he would care so having just seen her.....she couldn't quite comprehend it*

Dropping to his rear, Yiska sat there to look at her. Females of any kind seemed hard to figure out. "She had young? I did not know this, otherwise I would never had tried." It was really against his way, even if he was starving. That explained a lot thought to him.
"Thank you though, for stepping in. For both reasons." He thought of touching her to show his appreciation for stopping him, but set his paw back. "My name is Yiska. So next time you can just whisper it on the winds to stay my hunt. I almost sneezed from the last one." He grinned, wanting to know why she seemed so shy.

*She heard his words, that he had not scented the fawn hiding in the tree line but she shook her head softly as if trying to clear them from her head, the shaking intensifying as he thanked her, this was really all too much....and then he said his name.*
" Yiska " She said it softly, tasting it, rolling it on her tongue like the first sweet ripe berry of summer. " Yiska " She said more firmly, and the trees seemed to whisper it back to them in the soft succeration of leaves. It seemed to give her strength and she brushed the strange feelings and confusion back an away as she remembered who and what she was. Slowly, almost coyly she raised her head and looked up at him. " Do you know what I am Yiska?"

The way she had said his name, his tail fluffed. It made his fur stand on end and he wasn't sure why. "I have heard stories, but never met one before." He waited, his mind fighting to keep up with could be a game. "Would you care to help me out?"

*She noted his reaction to her saying his name and it pleased her. Smiling a bit wider she waited for him to think and then as he spoke his last words she couldn't help but giggle*
"Oh Yiska, I'd love to help you out in all sorts of ways, but What Am I? Name me, if you can"

The giggle did it for him. It sounded like chimes and he was hooked. Her question though, felt like it had some weight behind it. "How many tries to guess?"

*she couldn't help it, at his words she giggled again* I am of the female persuasion, You have exactly as many tries as I feel like giving you, no more, no less.....Please do not make me ask again, I begin to grow bored......*she trailed off and waited for him to make his move*
