Her phone lit up, and she frowned at the message, carefully navigating the hall. Each corner she turned received a small, scratched arrow from her pocket knife. Alone and in an unfamiliar place, she very carefully made as little sound as possible.

She checked her phone and the signal was now gone, leaving only the total isolation of her and the multitude of pale, flashing reflections that surrounded her. Jaw tight, America tried calling out again, but the echo of her own Hello? just made it worse. Enough to the point where she almost stumbled off the sudden drop.
It felt like her heart had seized up and decided it'd had enough of this. The moment passed, and if there was comfort to be had, it was in the fact that there was a ladder that led down, and at least she was going somewhere. Hopefully in the correct general direction. She could do this. No problem.

It was another maze. The part of her that wanted to cry a little just succeeded in pissing the rest of her off. Sick of this s**t, America placed one hand on the wall and began to run.

It didn't take long for to reach the point of too far, too wrong, start over. Angrily slapping her palm against the glass, her chest heaving, and face flushed, she let out a hissing curse and gripped her pendant to go back.
