Awesome! He was all set!
Rene sighed happily as he crashed on the fold-able portion of his futon bunk bed, (thank god for these things by the way). When was the last time he had a night to himself? His older sister, Thea, was out for the night, doing god knows what with her friends. She had told Rene that she'd call him if she was going to crash at a friends house instead of coming home at curfew. So that meant he had the house totally to himself. Which only meant one thing.
MOOOOOVIE NIIIIIGHT.
Rene wasn't totally alone though, his phone was next to him, and it buzzed alerting him to a new text from his best friend Mikhail. The two had been furiously texting each other since the even with the blender in their home ec class.. Which was another reason why he was glad his younger sister wasn't here. She had taken to teasing him relentlessly when he inevitably told her about him.
What is it with sisters and having to know EVERYTHING?
Especially with what the pair were currently doing. They were both going to watch the movie together, with out actually being together. And they'd just communicate back and forth via text message. Rene's parent's also weren't home, and while they trusted their son, and the young man he had become friends with to behave, they also didn't like people in the house while they weren't home. And Rene totally understood that. It made a lot of sense really.
Oh well, back to more pressing matters.
To Mikhail
Haha, ready?
From Mikhail
Totally. Go.
Rene hit play on the remote and got settled. He nearly made an unholy squeaking noise when the movie started up, (thank god for fast playing past the ads.) What movie were they watching?
Pacific Rim of course!
Rene had never seen it, which was odd considering how into mech and fiction he was. The dark haired boy had heard nothing but good things about this though, so he was totally excited.
To Mikhail
I haven't seen this, so sorry if I get confused.
Rene must have told Mikhail this nearly a hundred times, but the younger teen just laughed and waved him off, telling him that it was okay and he'd do his best to straighten everything out for Rene. He wondered if Mikhail had seen the movie hand before, and was just humoring him? Or if he, like Rene was watching it for the first time.
From Mikhail
You'll be fine.
From Mikhail
It's fairly easy to follow. Oooh! I like this part!
He hoped that was the case anyway, as he grabbed the blanket and wrapped himself into it. He was rather excited to see the movie. He just hoped he didn't fall asleep during it!
...Only one way to find out!
