Arian nodded "Yes it was," he agreed as he reached out to shake Björn's offered hand, very much aware of the difference in hand-size. "And it's okay, the eclipse party was a while back." In fact he probably wouldn't have remembered their previous meeting himself given how brief it had been if not for the fact that the other was so much bigger than him. "It's nice to meet you again." So far Orah's friends had all seemed pretty nice and Arian was feeling pretty silly at his earlier worries about how their non mutual friends would get on.
Although talking about friends, his smile widened slightly as he heard the sound of a familiar voice "Hi Gwen" he called from where he was as he spotted the black and white-haired teen, the smile lingering at her antics as Orah asked who wanted cake and added his own quiet "I'd love some." Since he'd spotted the cake he'd been really,
really looking forward to a slice.
He thanked Orah as she pushed a slice of cake in his hands, but much as he wanted to (and his sweet tooth especially wanted to) he didn't immediately dig in, part of him wondering if he should give Orah a hand giving out slices of cake.
And although he personally didn't mind whether Happy Birthday was sung or not, both Lily and Paris were both right - it
was kind of tradition so when cake handing out was temporarily suspended, Arian joined in, smiling slightly at Orah as he held onto the plate of cake and sang Happy Birthday to her in a light tenor.
