Much to the crowd's dismay, Shanahan's defenses were the equivalent of garbage when he was blinded! The Legend Turned Swagfag was successful with the Irish Whip, sending the The Storm running at the steps. His feet tripped him up on the first one, causing him to trip and collide with the raised concrete, hard!

Now you see that?! That's smart wrasslin' yo! Why do all the heavy lifting yourself when there's lots of fun stuff around the arena to make life easy for you?! cool Cartwright let's out a yell of "HASHTAG DIDN'T SEE DAT COMING!" at Shanahan who had tripped on the first step after being blinded. Of course, Cartwright thought he made a hilariously witty observation. He gets booed for his efforts. Screw these fans! They don't deserve to see such a brawl up-close like this! Cartwright looks to drag Shanahan back to ringside, tossing him over the barricade!

The Storm was pulled him up to his feet and found himself being lead back over to the barricade. At the last moment, his hand shot up and grabbed the barrier, fighting Cartwright's strength with his own. What followed was a harsh elbow, aiming to hit against the sternum of the Swagtastic Swiggity Swaggity Swagmaster!

Damn it! Shanahan doesn't give up! As they reach the barricade, Matt puts on the breaks, which is highly inconvenient to Cartwright's plans! The elbow shot forces Cartwright to let go of Matt as he stumbles backwards!

There's a time to continue the battle, and there's a time to put it on hold; Shanahan was for the latter at the moment. With Cartwright off of him, Matt aimed to climb back over the barricade and head as far away as he could from the man to increase the distance between them!

Cartwright notices Shanahan hopping over the barricade! Look at that coward, trying to run away! Cartwright would never do something like that! Cartwright takes a run-up to the barricade with a sinister plan in mind, to jump up on it, leap off the barricade and strike Shanahan with a crossbody!

Would The Storm turn around and catch Cartwright from the crossbody just in time? It would've been such a great spot, especially for him to land an early finisher!
Despite how godlike Shanahan is though, he can't see the future! With his back turned and just as he was almost completely out of Cartwright's range, the smaller man came crashing down against his back with the crossbody, sending the Champion down to the mats!

Cartwright looks proud of himself for being able to splash a man who wasn't looking! He raises his hands high into the air to boos, which must be pretty amazing, a high risk move getting booed out of the building! Only the swag king can do that! The people boo because they are jealous of his abilities, obviously! Cartwright bends down to grab a handful of Matt's hair and tries to flip him on to the steel steps outside the ring by his locks!

The Storm wasn't in much of a position to retaliate; not yet anyways. Still recovering from the blow, he found himself being lifted to his feet and then flipped onto the steel steps! A loud grunt left his lips on impact, the thud of his back hitting the steel echoing through the arena. Due to his size, staying propped up on them wasn't much of an option; he fell off to the side, propped up against the steel in a sitting position.

Cartwright swaggers around to meet Shanahan has he lies with his back against the steel steps to boos. Damn that swagger! It's so annoying! Especially when he shouts "SWAG!" with every step! Which he does! Cartwright smirks at Matt's unfortunate position, taking a few steps back. He jumps up into the air with his feet aiming towards Shanahan for a Hesitation Dropkick into the steps!

The Champion was down and in pain; Cartwright had definitely turned the tides on The Storm so far!
But with that jump, that ended now! As soon as the Swagfag was up in the air, Shanahan rolled to the side and towards the barricade, leaving him nothing but the steps to aim his feet at!

Cartwright has nothing to kick but the steel steps, which is unfortunate for him! The steps are pushed forward, crashing into the fan barricade! Cartwright holds his feet, he had planned to give them a softer landing than that, against Matt's body!

The fans let out a roar of approval for Shanahan's sudden attempt to turn the tides, even if it was just a dodge! Regardless, The Storm began to pull himself up to his feet with the help of the barricade. He bought himself some time to recover, hopefully it wouldn't backfire again.

Cartwright uses the apron to hop back up to his feet. With a bit of a hobble rather than a swagger he tries to approach Matt! It looks rather hilarious with Cartwright hopping on both feet thanks to the steel steps crash!

Matt rested against the barricade for a brief moment to get his bearings. His back was extremely sore from the previous assault, but the show must go on! These people paid to see Cartwright get his a** kicked!
The Storm aimed to please, of course. With the Swagtastic One hobbling beside the apron, Matt pushed off the barricade and went at the Asylum Champion, attempting to use his momentum to grab Cartwright by the head and slam it against the apron!
