Both were very conservative and when Virgil told them she had been in their dreams, they grew afraid, calling the kitten a freak and tossing her out of their home and into an orphanage. But her abandonment didn't stop there. As she grew older, her powers grew stronger. All of the other kittens that were mean to her started having violent nightmares, and they'd wake up screaming night after night. Virgil was once more called a freak, and she was cast aside from the others, treated as an outcast. She was never adopted, as any potential parents had been warned of her abilities. And when she came of age, she left the orphanage and never looked back. In her adulthood, she fell in love with a woman she was certain loved her back. But this relationship was one of abuse and hate. Her 'lover' would verbally abuse her, and Virgil would simply accept the words as a twisted form of 'love'. A few months later, her partner left her, screaming at her, even hitting her, calling her a freak like so many others before her. Virgil was heartbroken. She vowed to never again be vulnerable and to never again fall in love. She's become bitter, disillusioned with the world, hating everyone. Virgil dawned the name 'Verge of Nightmares' and stalked the darkness of the minds of adult and kitten alike, giving them violent nightmares and many a sleepless night. A little about me: Zakorai comes from a rather large family, and he's the third oldest. When he came of age, he left his family to seek out someone he could protect. He met his master, Spike, shortly after. Zako, however, took more to Spike's sister Tsunami. He is aware Tsunami has her own guardians, seven Elemental dragons and three Shadows, much to his disdain. Zako and his siblings all serve and protect Spike. Zako has never been in love, and he highly doubts he ever will. Romance was something he was personally never interested in, but if it happens, he wouldn't resist. Given his gruff nature and how intimidating he is, he doubts anyone would try to get close to him. Which is all well and good in his book; it's less troublesome. As the third oldest sibling in his family, and the oldest male, a lot was expected of Zako in his youth. He, alongside Shiva, would go out and hunt for their younger siblings (Soul Keeper was never allowed to leave their home without an escort). While Shiva acted as Soul Keeper's guardian, Zako was left to tend to the younger lot once they were born. When his family is born, they are born with special stones. They are not given them after they are born, they are literally born with them. Each stone represents the element that they control. Zako has a golden stone that represents lightening; his element. These stones are important and if they are stolen, the lifespan of their raptor is greatly decreased and they become deathly ill until the stone is returned. The stones are often worn in the form of jewelry, usually a collar of some kind in their raptor form. Zako seldom takes a human form without reason, but his family favors human forms to their natural state. It is easy to identify which raptor is which in their human forms as they still wear their stone where it can be seen. Usually, they will wear them as necklaces, earrings or rings. Some of them, like Zako and his brother Rizer, still wear them on their collars. Currently, Zakorai has met a stranger and he's not sure what to think of him. A male by the name Kantu.
