Briosca was a ball of nervous energy.

Though she had been granted with an incredible power to produce sweets that almost anyone couldn't deny were beyond delicious, she still had this gut wrenching feeling that something could go wrong. It could be that she had spent most of the past few days gathering and testing different combinations of ingredients for a new type of cake unlike anyone had taste before. Or it could be the fact she sculpted the thing into the very likeness of Venus herself, spending countless hours attempting to prefect her beauty in a cake. It could even be that Feralheart, in his ever sweet demeanor, had insisted in helping her on her quest. She hated seeing him as a liability in her plight, but he was. Never had she seen him in any negative light not someone as kind hearted as he, but stress did things to Pae.

She had attempted to keep him busy gathering this and that ingredient, but never anything that directly involved with the cake- till now. When Bree made a cake in the likeness of something she meant it and with this cake so large she needed help carrying it. After creating a few of her gingerbread men to help she finally caved and asked the alicorn to assist them. It wasn't an easy favor for her to ask of him, she verbally directed their every step her voice sounding like she was about to break down into a sob. They were close though. Just about to make it to safety!

“Feralheart, lower your end a bit Tootsie Foots to your left can't reach. That's it, Icing McQueen, nice and steady- CRUMBLES MCGEE leave your cousin alone! You're going to mess everything up!” she squeaked as she smacked the gingerbread man on the nose, “We had the pep talk before we left about how important this is so quit it!”

As she was grumbling at the cookie she nearly ran over a brightly colored Fae who was fluttering and prisckling about in front of them, “Oh! Excuse me please! Excuse me! Precious cargo coming through!” she gently waved the other Fae to the side, praying she would move already. They were so close to the-

“Dancing!?”

Bree whipped around just in time to notice Crumbles leaving his post to head for the dance floor. The brilliant cake tower began to sway this way and that as the cookies and alicorn attempted to redistribute the weight. Bree gave a blood curdling cry as she rushed for the base, grabbing it as it leaned dangerously to the side, and escorted the rest of the group to the table. Victoriously they slid it into place, leaving Bree on the floor panting like a dog looking up at Feral with wide eyes, “I swear I saw my life flash before my eyes...”

She was really into her desserts.

Lightning Dust, naturally ignoring faun orders, strolled into the joint to see what all the fuss was about. So this was the infamous party that had turned quite a few fauny lives upside down, Princess Luna included. And lookit there, her darling son had already arrived. Seems the boy couldn't quite keep his hooves out of adventure hmm?

Well, if this event even promised adventure. So far it was down right boring. She hadn't even bothered to bring a gift as she didn't plan to stay long. Really, she'd probably get some food, find some fools to mess with for a laugh, then get the heck out of dodge and back to the tree before anyone would notice.

That is... until she felt a strange p***k in her backside. "Ohy, what was that?!" she snarled, reaching down to pluck an arrow out of her fauny behind. Glancing up to find the culprit, her eyes rested on a rather strange looking faun with strange wings.....

large wings.....

handsome big wide spreading massive body tingling wings!

Oh baby oh baby oh baby oh!

"Come to mama big boy!" she smirked, an intense feeling of lusty desire coursing through her veins the more she looked over the web winged beast.

"Where have you been all my life, tall pale and handsome?" she laughed, eyes half shut, wings flexing as she dared to run a finger down his suave chest.

User ImageDagen was not a social Pae. She merely followed the crowds because that meant free food. Except that one time on the boat and those stupid fairybugs and that stupid sandy island and the even stupider angel that had the nerve to smack her butt. At least she was able to sneak on the other ship and come home. That boat wasn't stupid. There was lots to eat there and no Zee. The best part.

Invisible, she snuck into the large ballroom between guests, carefully maneuvering around Pae to not bump in to them. She followed her nose, sniffing and moving towards the buffet table. Something shiny caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. Across the room was a whole pile of presents. Now Dagen was no dummy (some pae would dispute that) and she knew treasure when she saw it. Shiny, sparkling and some of it even looked like her favorite thing in the world: glass. She loved the breaky noise it made. As she bobbed and weaved between Pae'il, she made her way to the growing stack of gifts.

She didn't quite make it. Something bit her in the butt and she dropped her concentration and became visible. She spun around and around trying to figure what it was but she'd made herself sufficiently dizzy. She hobbled and wobbled trying to regain herself and once her vision stopped spinning, her sight set right on a spotted Naiad. Something stirred inside and she felt a hunger. Maybe because he was a fish? She didn't know, nor understand so her anger started up. Why did she want the fish thing so bad? Maybe he'd taste good...he sure looked like he would taste good.

She approached the creamy-orangey-fishy-spotty Naiad, mouth draped open. There may or may not have been a little drool dripping down. "Mmm fish." There were no pleasantries, no introduction, nothing polite about the first encounter. Dagen simply mumbled and then with mouth opened wide, tried to latch her mouth onto the Naiad's shoulder.

"Mmm fish."

Shahrazad was not one for parties, nor had she really ever been one. In her experience, these sort of things were for the nobility to present their overpowering wealth to those without, to humor them in a night by filling their wishes to be similar, even if such a thing was impossible. It was cruel, meaningless, and a waste of time.

So, why was she here?

Because the brat had ordered her to come, that's why.

Looking around, the 'fauny's' gentle smile deceitfully hid all the snickering and thoughts within her head. She looked to her demon standing easily a head taller that her and to her side, her hands behind her back and looking oh so innocent.

"See~? Aren't you glad I made you come?" There was an uncharacteristically light giggle before her eyes looked around, coldly looking down on everypae. Softly, she added. "Look at all of these fools, content merely by some sweets and music. How pathetic. Disgusting." Her eyes looked up, her smile twisting into a more sinister manner. "We are better than that, are we not?" A shrug. "Or, at least I am. I hope my servant is at least marginally better than the ignorant masses."

Turning playfully and holding out her arms, the sweetness returned to her voice and she motioned to the rest. "Alright, go makes some connections~!"

This was going to be a long night.

User Image The Grace of Glory was BEAMING!

Sure, not winning the dance was a let down, but that was twenty minutes ago. Now...Now was now! Her mother, oh her sweet wonderful mother, had gifted them, the Graces, with their own arrows! This was so exciting! She was just dieing to try it out! Though she was a spear(wo)man, not much of an archer. Maybe she should have asked Himeros for lessons...Oh she'd figure that out later. She was excited for another reason.

Although mother had said that her 'battle to the death' game idea would ruin the drapes and a few lives as well, she WAS allowed to arm wrestle them. This idea tickled Phaenna pink. A chance to see if the mortals had some strength in them! As long as she didn't break any arms. Which was too bad. Broken bones builds character.

Phaenna watched as the guest had filled the room before drawing her bow back and letting the arrows loose on the crowd.

The tiger striped Prince had indeed worked endlessly, for many days and nights to help his new found friend with her gift for this... party. He had never heard of a 'valentines' day before, though from what Bree had told him, it sounded akin to his tribes Jungle Passion holiday. Lots of romance and love, dancing and fun, and a general night for new kinship's to blossom. It had been his favorite night, mainly because as the second hand to his lovely Lady, he got to spend the entire night with her.

But alas, this was not to be the case tonight. Though Bree wasn't a bad substitute, he made her smile even in her most stressed of moods. The amount of passion she put into her baking truly inspired him, how could he possibly deny lending her a hand?

Though getting it to the party had proved to be another difficult matter. In particular, because of one of her little... 'helpers'.. decided he'd rather have fun on the dance floor than carry their precious cargo to safety. But it was now done and glad to have it settled down safe, he stood, smiling down at Bree. "I am sure you did. My heart skipped a beat itself, I must admit." he chuckled, extending his hand down to help sweep her off the floor. "But it is here now, and hopefully safe." he nodded... which reminded him.

Despite all the help he did for her, he had managed to bring a small token of his own, which he reached up to take from the nice little Gingergal who had been sitting on his shoulder, keeping it safe. "Thank you, Sprinkles. You have been most kind." he smiled at the little cookie girl. What she had been holding for him was a small wooden figure of Venus, carved from part of a fallen tree in the forest near the great tree. He had found an assortment of vines to fashion as accessories and many different colorful feathers from birds to use as her wings. Glancing over it proudly, he set it down on the table among the other gifts before turning back to Brisoca.

"Well... I suppose since I am here, would you care to partake in any of the festivities?"

Ra'tari's tail curled delightfully as she watched her master in secrecy. The way he moved, his tail, wings... his core radiated with that inner beast that drew her to him so well. Such a pity he wasn't into her. She could have so much fun with him. The best part was he had no clue she was even here. In all his fuss to help that petty little fae with her silly little cake, he had forgot to order her away that day. And he certainly didn't give her an order to stay away from the party either. Free for all!

A delighted purr rumbled in her throat as she watched the stupid little cookie man dart away, leaving the Venus cake to tremble. She had oh so hoped it would fall and splatter and the silly little thing would bawl her eyes out endlessly.... but alas it would not be so. An angry hiss left her throat as the Rakshasha slipped into the shadows to stay unknown.... for now.

Filthy little pest. Why did he always have his hands all over her? How disgusting!

User Image Blizz couldn't BELIEVE Care had got him to come to this...Again. Couldn't he just have a break for one year? Clearly that was too much to ask of Care. She wanted to go and so here they were...Again.

Blizz was minding his own busniess, trying to pick out a sweet for himself when something hit him in the back. "Ow!" He turned around and looked for the culprit. His eyes landed on a cool coloured Fae. Did he do it? Sure not...But if he did, Blizz needed to one up him. He needed to..Show him how strong he was. Hmmf. Blizz tossed the end of his scarf over his shoulder and marched right over to the Fae. He meant busniess!

Phaenna giggled to herself. She could see why her brother's did this all the time...One more time couldn't hurt...For now. She drew back her bow and let her arrows fly into the crowd. Ok, that was enough of that. Time to keep Himeros from getting anything. "Hey Himeros!" She called out and ran after him. He better not be eating all the chocolates without her!

This was not what Natalia had been expecting.

She had understood that it was a party that happened (with some yearly variations) each Valentine's Day. It was what her mother had attended last year, only to receive an egg at her doorstep some days later. That egg was herself.

As far as she could tell, there was little of the disarray and confusion from last year's story. Instead, there were the little bits of confusion: a girl's cake running away? Arrows flying through the air? How strange... Well, the world and its inhabitants were strange, that was to be sure. Glancing to her side, she noticed another of her kind with dark blue and black hair helping herself to the food. Without manners, might she add.

That was probably a territorial conflict waiting to happen.

So instead, the heavily decorated female dropped off a flower from the branches in her woods upon the table others were leaving things on and walked to the near opposite side of the room. Her eyes looked around, gauging for anything or anyone that might catch her attention.

User ImageTo be honest, Eros barely cared a wit about his mother's engagement.

Okay, he did. Her excitement about it seemed to take the eyes off Eros, which he had been wishing for for years, Was it finally coming true? Would she finally leave him alone?

One could only hope.

There was one thing he loved doing with so many mortals in the same space, though, and that was flinging arrows around indiscriminately. Sure, his own wife was once a mortal, just like these people, but most of them were made to be played around with. It was entertaining to watch the mortals react to all these emotions--like that demon chewing on the naiad's shoulder! That was hilarious.

"Watch how it's done," he murmured to his daughter, Voluptas, before loading up two arrows at once and flinging them off.

Ah! They found their mark--

What?

Why weren't they reacting?

User ImageVoluptas laughed and laughed.

And laughed some more.

"Yeah sure, Daddy, that's totally how it's done," remarked the younger deity, watching as Eros continued to shake out his arrows as if they were defective. She snickered, turning her eyes onto the crowd. There was no way she would fail as much as her father on this one...

She loaded up two arrows of her own, following in her father's attempts. Not only would she win, she would win at his own move.

"Let me show you how it's done~"

With that, she fired off two of her own.

Her arrows actually found their correct mark, hitting one of her father's targets (again) along with someone she thought would actually cause a reaction. Voluptas giggled, watching as the two Pae'il turned their eyes towards each other.

Oh, this would be funny...

User ImageAldis grinned, he was quite excited to be at the dance this year. He'd been dreaming of coming and singing since he'd first laid eyes on the invitation. Sure, it was a shot in the dark, but a pae had to have dreams right? Always have hope.

The pale fae was simply looking around near one of the many sweets tables when he felt something snack him in the back. "What the?" He frowned, wiggling his shoulders to make sure his wings were intact. That was when he noticed the purple scarf. And the pae wearing that scarf. He must've been the one who got his back. He looked so innocent, but surely it must have been him. The fae was just going to have to show him otherwise!

Aldis gripped his mic a little tighter and headed right on up to this purple scarf wearing angel. Well, it wasn't that far of a distance, it looked like he was already pretty close. But still.
