It didn't take Delilah long to realize what her cousin was doing. He was showing off, being the center of attention. Stealing the show as he would. What made Delilah smile though was when she heard someone mentioned the 'couple' walking in formal wear. Oh if only they knew the blood line. Then this would be even more fun.
The magical powers commented though made Delilah raise an eyebrow in Mathias' direction. The look was along the 'really? magical powers' but if only her cousin knew. The bruises she was hiding under her dress were part of the draw back to those powers.
"I just have skill and you know that. Still have the snail I got you years ago?" She asked smiling back at him.
"Maybe I'll get you something else this time. To say thank you."

Mathias didn't have the heart to tell Delilah that said snail was currently buried in his closet - having been moved from his shelf in his bedroom upon the making up with his on-again-off-again girlfriend. She was too young (in his mind) to understand the complexity of not wanting a gift from your cousin gracing the room you spent a large amount of your time with your girl... intimately. But he smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I've still got it, tucked away somewhere nice and safe so he won't get all torn up." Not that he would have anyway - it wasn't like Mathias owned any animals - but that was besides the point. "You really don't have to, this is your night, not mine." He chuckled, only stopping once they reached the arcade. "Shall we?"

For a moment, Delilah thought and then nodded. "You are right. It is my birthday after all. So you should just let me win at everything." With a smirk, Delilah headed directly into the arcade and towards the token machines.
Turning around with her own handful, she motioned towards the racing games. "Motorcycles? I want to see how I can do in a dress."

Mathias chuckled and shook his head. "Sure, and if some guy tries to get a peek up said dress I'll punch him out for you." She was a minor still after all. Mathias wasn't a huge stickler on things like that usually, but Delilah was his cousin, and therefore family. He would end the person who did anything untoward or unwanted to his cousin. Well no, Mathias wouldn't... Leucite would... Might as well mix work with family obligations after all. He sunk that week's laundry money into the token machine, making a note to make his next night patrol look like a few muggings. Then let Delilah lead him onward.

"You will have to beat me to kicking them but hey, I won't stop you." Delilah laughed as she lead the way to the racing game. Slipping the coins in, he lifted her dress to her knees to get on the bike but stopped just short of a split.
Her red eyes caught sight of what was sending pain straight up her thigh and into her body. The bottom of a bruise that extended well up the left side of her leg could bee seen and as she had tried to mount the bike, she had managed to forget about it.
It took a few moments before she was able to move again, though this time, she approached the bike from the other side. Mentally she was screaming at that agent. He had kicked her forwards, backwards, and nearly into the ground. All she could do now was pray she healed quickly.
"Now this is tricky." She said as she felt her dress pile on the back of the bike. "How do women really ride these things?"

"Generally not in dresses," Mathias said with a chuckle. He had noticed the bruise and was somewhat concerned, but he wanted her a captive audience before he asked. Slipping his own coins in, he mounted the bike with relative ease. Motorcycles were not his vehicle of choice but they were pretty fun to ride if you had the chance. "It seems like someone beat you to the kicking," he mentioned casually as the game clicked down the start timer. "You're not getting into fights at school are you?"His voice was concerned but not in the because you shouldn't be way, but more of a because you're doing it wrong way. "Cause if you are I can totally teach you a few moves that might give you an edge..."Sirene Naiads Sorry for the late reply! It's been a crazy couple weeks!

The sudden question about getting into fights caused Delilah to miss the start by half a second. She was already now in last place and playing catch up. Great....thanks Mathias...
Signing as she leaned to her right around a curve, there was no getting out of it now. In the White family, it didn't matter which side you were on. Stubborn was in the blood.
"I wish it was school." Delilah finally muttered passing several NPC. "Those girls would be easy to take down. Just break one of their nails."Smirking as she eased left, she was shifting her leg along the bike to still the shots of pain. "No, this happened outside of school....and not by choice mind you. I really didn't have a chance."
"So a few moves might be helpful. I do worry about it happening again and well, you can picture my mother when she found out."

Mathias nodded slowly, clicking his tongue for a moment as he thought about things. "Hit me up when you have some time off - I'm busy with school and... some other stuff but if I'm free we can go to the gym and I can teach you a few things." His mind wasn't really on the game per say - but he did manage to stay on Delilah's tail for most of it, even trying to pass her on the final lap but not quite able to do it. "Ugh... bet you I'd be loads better at the real thing..."

"You think?" Delilah smiled as the big winner letters came across her screen. She was smiling seeing it. To beat her cousin in something with motorcycles, even fake ones, made it worth it.
"Could you see my father if I showed up with one? A hot red one with matching helmet."

"He would probably pop a vessel, if he didn't just spontaneously combust first." Mathias said with a slight chuckle before hopping off the bike. "Though, if you really want I could talk to a few of my friends and see if I could find you one - maybe even get you lessons..." He rolled his shoulders, looking around the arcade for a moment. Who knew, maybe she'd manage to not smear herself all over the pavement. "What do you want to do next? I'm free pretty much all night."
