Adelaide mourned the lose of having finished her task with the books. She figured it would be a few days worth, but I guess being a vampire she was quicker than she had thought. She closed the doors to the library and wandered aimlessly through the hall way. She was quite content being to herself as she was socially awkward around most people or supernatural beings in general.

"Gonna give it to the Groundskeeper, of course," Umbraja answered with a casual confidence that spoke a bit of apathy as she turned around to lead the andriod through the halls. "Soon as we find him you can trundle off to whatever it was you were doing," she waved a hand dismissively, turning her head to look over her shoulder at him as she walked. Unfortunately that meant she was not looking at where she was walking and it so happened that was the precise moment that Adelaide turned a corner to collide with the woman. At least she wasn't carrying the bag this time. Still, she stumbled back with an "Oomph" and took a moment to collect herself, grumbling something about hitting the odds, before she arched a brow at the girl in front of her. "Well, hello there. . ." she drawled a touch curiously and did not offer this one her hand. Instead Umbraja started to reach for the machete on her belt though slowly as if unsure she should be concerned or not and waiting to see how the vampire reacted.

Duo nodded silently, carrying the bag as he followed Umbraja. As the two women collided, Duo lent out a hand behind Umbraja to catch her. He would have caught the other woman, but his other hand was carrying a body bag. "Are you two all right?" He asked. Umbraja seemed alright, she was standing up already. All though... she was reaching for a machete on her belt. Did she not trust this person?

Adelaide looked on as she had bumped into someone. She looked at t he ground, " Oh I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I'm such a klutz. " Her face despite the paleness of her skin turned a nice shade of crimson. She thought to herself, And this is why I stick by myself. Now no one will talk to me. No one wants to talk to a klutz She turned to look at the one that had asked if she was alright, " Yeah I'm fine. "

"Gonna take more'n a little knock ta get me offa OK, but thanks anyway," Umbraja huffed a wry laugh for Duo's question though kept her eyes on the vampire in front of her. With shoulders tensed and right hand now gripping the well worn hilt of her machete it was obvious Umbraja had at least some measure of distrust for the girl, even to Duo's limited experience with human behavior, but it was tempered in curiosity at the vampire's so far timid and polite actions. That was not standard behavior in Umbraja's experience. Perhaps she was mistaken about the girl's abominable status, though she'd never gotten false readings from her undead detection talisman before - not on this species at least. "Sooo. . . yeah," Umbraja drawled, still watching the girl closely. "Pardon me and all that. Wasn't watching where I was going," she spoke with a wary tension in her voice that was gradually slipping into curiosity. "Forgive the bluntness but, you are a vampire aren't you?" she just couldn't help but ask or help adding, "Not one of those ~sparkly~ mutant freaks are you?" She paused before tacking on an afterthought, "No offense of course."

Talia looked up from the list with a start as the man sitting at the booth jerked awake. She quickly drew back, staring at the man's disheveled appearance. His apparel suggested that he wasn't that old, but his face said that he was at least 30. She didn't recognize him, but he was obviously part of the school staff. The half elf tilted her head to the side as he woke up, a slight smirk on her face and an eyebrow raised. The smirk faded as the as the man mispronounced her name. "It's pronounced Em-er-ode... but you can just call me Talia." She nodded once, looking at him again. "So should I know who you are? Because I'm kinda new here." Curiosity was apparent on her face, even as she hoped that she hadn't addressed someone important in such a casual manner.

"Yes, yes. Of course," the man huffed a weak laugh for the correction. "Sorry, my Elvish is rusty" he flashed her a truly apologetic smile then blinked for the question and paused a moment to think, pushing up his glasses with one finger as he did. "Well. . . I don't know about important" he stressed the word with a bit of a shrug. "But I was on the Faculty here. Emeritus now I'd think. Took a sabbatical last year and somehow still managed to get drag- I mean graciously volunteered to come back," he gave her a slightly plastic smile then shook his head with a little laugh. "Mostly I'm just here to sit at the table and welcome people as they come in." He gave the girl's signature a tap, "Make sure they sign the book and all. Answer any questions you might have. . ." he trailed off a little with a slight raise at the end to almost turn it into a question himself. "Do you have any questions?" he decided to be more direct about it and just ask out right.

"Alright." Duo said, in reply to both of the girls' comments. He straightened himself up, repositioning the body bag on his shoulder. Umbraja asked if the girl was a vampire. Upon hearing the word, Duo's code eye moved around a lot, as if searching for something. In one eye, Duo was seeing a picture of a vampire he'd once seen in a book. In another, he was seeing Adelaide. They didn't look very similar, aside from the pale skin. The code shifted again, and he could see out of both eyes. Perhaps she was a vampire, and the book was exaggerating? He watched as a man came by, seemingly lost and confused. "Uh, I believe it's the 14th. February 14th." Duo said. Now two people had asked him the date, Umbraja and this new person. Maybe it was a normal things for humans not to know what day it was? Or perhaps they had been in solitude for a while, much like himself but without the technology in their brain to know the day.

" Um hello Miss...."gesturing for a title

Duo tilted his head at the man. "Uh... no. February 2014, I believe." He said. He looked at the confused man, starting to get confused himself. "May I ask who you are?" He said.

Fionna Chance suddenly awoke in a chamber, dark and cold.
Where in the five hells...? She opened her eyes and stood up, readjusting her cloak. It only seemed to be cold and dark because her eyes were covered by her hair and hood, and the mystic chains beneath her cloak had wrapped around her legs. Imagining what she must have looked like while unconscious, Fionna restrains a sigh, careful not to make more noise than she may have already.
Looking around, Fionna finds that she's is in a room occupied by a legion of musical instruments. Where is this music room, though, that she stands in? The faint sounds of a pianist's masterpiece filled the air and occupied her ears. Were she not confused as all the hells by the fact that she suddenly ended up here - and that no one is actually playing the piano in the corner of the room - she could relax and enjoy the music.
...However, seeing no one at the only piano in the room, Fionna wonders if there's some malevolent spirit, like a demon, present. The thought puts the already confused assassin's instincts on high alert as she slowly - cautiously - moves to the door, knife in hand and eyes darting all 'round....
