Description: Soldiers and other warriors who practice the art of war often grunt, shout or scream in the midst of combat, even some of the most calm or seasoned veterans do so. In some martial arts it is known as a warcry or kiai, a short shout often of a single syllable beginning with a vowel. The soldier uses pure spiritual power with these shouts often to empower themselves briefly or to prepare themselves for something with a force of willpower. Activated with only a shout before an offensive or defensive technique is used, energy is expelled from the soldier's body in a visible aura that even physically kicks up dust at their feet and sends a shimmer through the air. For the next activation, any offensive or defensive action is enhanced in its effectiveness by [.5 Step] when used with the Kiai shout. This only affects [Simple] techniques and allows them to clash with [Spiritual] techniques or hit things that mundane attack would normally be ineffective on such as a ethereal spirit. A Kiai does not take an activation to use, can be applied to each Activation used in a post.

Description: This technique is passive once learned. Upon learning the user gains the ability to cast their raiton ninjutsu consecutively. This results in an automatic korabo increasing the strength of the resulting jutsu by one half step per jutsu chained in this manner. Each time a jutsu is changed the cost of said jutsu increases by 15. Jutsu may continuously be chained for as many activation as the user has.

Description: This jutsu is a variation of most ranton lightning with the difference being that the lightning is able to strike one person and then move to another or several others. As it is more powerful than the standard lightning, as such it requires a greater amount of discipline and concentration to project and sustain the stream of lightning. In addition the cost of the forked jutsu increases by one half rank per person or being struck. Furthermore by paying a cost equal to one rank lower the original jutsu, the user can split any line or beam type lightning or ranton jutsu into two separate lines or beams.

Description: This jutsu is purely defensive in nature and is performed as a last ditch protection more often then not. While this jutsu does not actually require any seals to perform other then a held ram seal its rather taxing for the user. By quite literally venting raiton chakra from the body the user creates an area around them which while no more then four inches in size is filled with black lightning. This forms an emergency shield of sorts to protect the user. Given its nature its ill advised to strike the user with hand to hand combat.

By holding a two handed ram seal then splitting the seal to form two one handed ram seals the user will push their hands out to each side of the body and by doing so emit a constant stream from their body. This expulsion results in a dome radiating away from the user in a field of black lightning. This field is extremely dangerous as the stream of lightning is entirely capable of causing third degree burns and paralysis if caught undefended. This jutsu lasts for as long as the user continues to pour chakra into it and remains still.

If the target is struck directly by this ball causing it to detonate the target will suffer extensive first and second degree burns. They will also suffer localized third degree burns upon contact. The strength of the black lightning at this point is more then capable of blowing trees apart if struck for reference.

Description: This jutsu is well deserving of its rank designation as S. Mechanically and in terms of functionality it is the same as the electric domination on an entirely different scale. While the destruction is creates is fantastic it is just as taxing on the user. Building up a massive amount of chakra and rapidly converting it to black lightning the user will unleash a maelstrom of black lightning around their body. This results in a stream around the user of large bolts of lightning entirely capable of killing a person outright if hit by one of them. This field is a full forty radial feet in size and generates such a large number of lightning bolts that the entire twenty radial feet are filled to its entirety. Making it suicidal to approach the user. This field can be sustained for multiple posts however the sheer cost of chakra makes this unadvised requiring the activation cost each be paid at the beginning of each post.

Description: By creating a string of seals the user will create a flat vertical disk in front of their body. Upon completion of the jutsu's seals the sphere will be fired in the direction the user is facing. This sphere, once fired, leaves a trail of destruction in a line up to twenty feet from the user. Trees, walls, barriers are blown through. The strength of this jutsu while respectable on its own, is in its penetrating power. Against defensive ninjutsu, structures, or obstructions it is treated as half rank higher. However as it is not designed inherently for use on people, its actual damage on such is treated as one half rank lesser.

Description: As the pinnacle of black lightning manipulation this jutsu requires knowledge of the black lightning manipulation jutsu, as well as the electrical resistance jutsu before it can even be attempted. Upon learning the user becomes a truly fearsome person. This jutsu will allow the user to pay an equal cost to the base of a lightning jutsu targeted at them to quite literally catch it, channel it through their body harmlessly, and expel it back at the original caster as deadly black lightning. The resulting tech is equal to one rank higher then the original jutsu. IE if a B rank jutsu is caught and channeled it becomes an A rank jutsu instead. Due to the absorption of the original jutsu's chakra and the equal addition of the users chakra.

Because you're talking that in one post the third technique will deal 1.5 ranks more damage, and if that stacks over and over it's only a matter of two posts before you're doing 3 ranks higher for only 15 more chakra a technique. 3 would be the hard cap I'd suggest for this rank, without a reset.

tab ► I'm honestly uncertain what you're playing. You're saying that if you use an A - ranked lightning technique, you could pay B - ranked cost to split it in two? And that the cost also increases by 1/2 rank per time it's split? I'm confused on the numbers you're going for here.

Speed is how fast the technique is, and Strength is how much damage there is. If ever you don't list the other two, just the first, all three ranks are the same. In the case of this technique, I'd suggest lowering the speed by one or two, and increase the strength by one. It does more damage than an A - rank, but you are relying on your throwing it to do anything speed wise.
Black Lightning Maelstrom Denied
tab ► No technique can outright kill a character, even if all it takes is dodging them. Severe damage can be done, and I'd suggest saying the damage type is concussive, but outright killing is a no. S - rank damage to an entire field? I'm okay with that if its realistic damage. My suggestion is to have no base duration, but upkeep of 90 chakra a post.

tab ► I'd put the speed as one rank lower automatically, but leave the damage bonus you currently have, just increase it to 1 instead of 1/2. I'd also include that defenses take 3 Duration damage additional if used against this. That means your attack does 4x more damage than the average technique against a defense.

tab ► This one...this one is difficult to balance. I get what you're trying to do, which is like Uncle Iroh. Or from Avatar in general. That said, you're making yourself effectively immune permanently to Raiton, because you can redirect it, and make it stronger. I'll have to think hard on this one, as the first reaction is a hard no. I might suggest trying to do something that shunts part of the damage, making you take some but not all, and in return blasting back with your own chakra and theirs combined in retaliation? That's a suggestion.

Description: The user of the technique expells a cloud of embers from their mouth and with a handseal following, forms them into a solid sphere-shape, which impacts with the force of a cannon ball. It can demolish buildings and crush bones. Trying to stop this with one's hands would find that it was extremely hot, burning anything organic that touches it within a minute of it's creation.

Description: This jutsu functions mechanically the exact same as the Electric Domination jutsu. However it has one noticeable difference instead of a pulse the result is a constant stream of black lightning. By holding a two handed ram seal then splitting the seal to form two one handed ram seals the user will push their hands out to each side of the body and by doing so emit a constant stream from their body. This expulsion results in a dome radiating away from the user in a field of black lightning. This field is extremely dangerous as the stream of lightning is entirely capable of causing third degree burns and paralysis if caught undefended. The field is ten radial feet wide and can be maintained for a maximum of two posts.

Description: This jutsu is well deserving of its rank designation as S. Mechanically and in terms of functionality it is the same as the electric domination on an entirely different scale. While the destruction is creates is fantastic it is just as taxing on the user. Building up a massive amount of chakra and rapidly converting it to black lightning the user will unleash a maelstrom of black lightning around their body. This results in a stream around the user of large bolts of lightning entirely capable causing severe damage to a person if hit outright if hit by one of them. This field is a full forty radial feet in size and generates such a large number of lightning bolts that the entire twenty radial feet are filled to its entirety. Making it suicidal to approach the user. This field can be sustained for multiple posts however the sheer cost of chakra makes this unadvised requiring an upkeep of 90 chakra be paid at the beginning of each post.

Description: By creating a string of seals the user will create a flat vertical disk in front of their body. Upon completion of the jutsu's seals the sphere will be fired in the direction the user is facing. This sphere, once fired, leaves a trail of destruction in a line up to twenty feet from the user. Trees, walls, barriers are blown through. The strength of this jutsu while respectable on its own, is in its penetrating power. Against defensive ninjutsu, structures, or obstructions it is treated as a full rank higher. Additionally defenses take 3 duration damage if struck by this in addition to normal damage. However as it is not designed inherently for use on people, its actual damage on such is treated as one full rank lesser.

Conqueror's Presence:: Throughout the years of lording over the country side has gained her the knowledge and skills of turning her own reputation into a supernatural weapon. Allowing for her to trigger certain techniques through use of reputation and knowledge of her alone. Thought she seems to have forgotten how to make them in general, she could remember how if given just a little more time. She is able to make one custom, and only one custom, earlier than most at D-Rank. This custom must be an effect triggered by knowledge of Reputation. This Reputation must be of something fearsome, cause no one ever really gets effected by stories of someone who likes to beat on teddy bears... No Takira is meant to be feared.

Description:
Takira has never been a saint, her life been long since blackened with cruel deeds. In her time these sinful actions had garnered the woman a touch of notoriety, a curious thing that seemed to grow the more she greedily took from the Land of Lightning. Before long she found her mere name being announced on a battle field would affect her opponents in strange ways, like her very being existing weighed down on their souls. It struck fear into their bones making them easy pray for the bandit lord to snuff out of existence. But that was a long long time ago. In this day in age you'd be hard pressed to find someone who even knows Takira's name. It no longer carries the weight it used to, for now at least.

The Conqueror's Presence is a passive technique that Takira developed without realizing she had. The chakra constantly leaking off of her body infusing into the air around her carrying a peculiar effect. This chakra activates when someone knows of Takira's infamy and amplifies the small kernels of fear and anxiety that come with knowing someones foul deeds. When this infamy condition is activated the genjutsu will invade the persons mind, sapping them of parts of their abilities. This aura she radiates can be resisted, as at its base it is only an E Rank Genjutsu. She can infuse more chakra into the technique to increase its rank thus breaking said resistances but gives Takira an upkeep cost of 3/4ths the new rank cost per post. The effects of her Presence are rather simple: as fear starts growing in the afflicted brain it begins limiting their bodies full potential weakening their stats. From base to B rank it will lower their stats by one stage, from A rank to S rank chakra it will lower their strongest stats an additional one stage.

Ember Hammer → This technique, while B - rank, is defined with wording that implies absolution. Meaning, B - rank melting flesh within a minute, demolishing buildings, etc should be left to just the rank's destruction. Honestly, how I'd word it is quite simply "forms into a solid, sphere shaped object that is nothing short of a fire based cannonball, dealing massive amounts of damage through physical force alone. Objects struck take twice the amount of duration damage appropriate for the rank." and leave it at that.
Melting Blaze → The technique mentions that it needs to be removed before a certain time, but no mention on just when that will occur. If the idea is one post, molten metal shouldn't cool that fast, and leaving lasting 3rd degree burns in one post with B - rank seems much. Please detail how long it takes to cool, and, if physicians are required to remove it, what Skill level is needed to treat it.
Fire Line → This just needs clarification. Given how it functions, are you intending for it to negate the lightning technique too?
Thundering Raid → Would you mind if we made this Ranton? If so, I'd suggest turning this into C - rank, since it only deals slight burns.
Voltage Sphere → Please include that the technique inflicts the Deafen hazard for 2 posts.
Waterspout → I see where you're going with this. Add a Duration, and an Upkeep. Base Duration is how many posts the technique lasts. Upkeep is the cost to keep it going, per post, past the original. So if A - rank, the duration could be 3 posts. After 3 posts they pay half of an A - rank, 40 chakra, to maintain the technique per single post after that.
Water Dragon Dance → Same as above. I need a duration and upkeep.

This creates lingering burns, up to third degree if allowed to burn until it cools [1st Degree at 1 Post, 2nd Degree at 2 Posts, 3rd Degree at 4 Posts]. Cloth, Silk and other flammable materials are ignited by the molten steel.

[It does not negate the jutsu in question, simply uses it as a homing beacon back to the source.] It cannot lock onto ions of a technique greater than the strength of this technique. Whilst spinning deflects oncoming projectiles of equivalent rank, causes a [lock] to happen when clashing with a weapon preventing further spinning regardless of the attacking techniques rank being inferior. A throw requires one post of uninterrupted wind up in which when thrown is treated as a rank-higher in strength and speed.
