"Perhaps..." Nocturne answered a little skeptically, "Though there have been many who have not given me the opportunity to talk." She gave a sad smile and flicked one of her ears. "I never would have guessed that even a kind mare such as you, though, would have been treated as different. But I do not know the customs or variety of soquili found here. But... do not let two-legs make you think that you need them. I thought that for many years. I discovered it was not true after I left."
Nocturne nodded, "I have seen the two legs pray to the spirits. Where I am from, I lived in a building that was dedicated entirely to a great spirit. The man who took me in as a filly was a very devout man. They did not have elaborate ceremonies there, but they were very dedicated. He was a simple man, but a good one."

Tayo was quite pleased that she had found someone she could get along so easily with. And hearing the other mare speak of how others treated her so poorly, Tayo was even honoured by the fact that she was opening up to her. It had been hard finding friends around here, and save for a rare meeting here and there, she hadn't really had much luck as of yet. She had been here for a while, yes, a few years even now...boy how time flew. Well, perhaps when they parted ways, Tayo would be able to find Nocturne again. That would be nice, she thought.
"Well, most of the others in my home lands are pure bred, and my mother kind of upset that tradition by having me, so both of us ended up as hmmm, I guess they called us atrocities. We were forced to leave..." The sandy-colored mare trailed off for a moment, frowning and then flicking her mane. Oh well, she needn't worry. "I don't know if I depend on them, they are good to me, that's all. I am rather free to come and go as I please, and my Kawani friend knows I will come back, even if I am away a long time." She smiled kindly and shifted her weight.
"That's very interesting. I have never seen inside their buildings...what was it like?" Tayo had always maintained a foal-like curiosity, and it had always served her well, she loved learning about new things and places, and never hesitated to ask when she was curious of something. "You know I have met some others that did not speak so gently of the two-legs. Perhaps we are just lucky in that we were and are treated well." Tayo nodded, looking to Nocturne for a response to her question.Sabin Duvert Sorry it took me five million years to reply!!! D= Been super busy and RP muses are fickle. xD

Sabin Duvert Nocturne's face creased at the mention of pure breeding. She had heard the insults slung by other two-legs and soquili at her own mixed parentage. Of the darkness evident over her dark pelt. "You do not look like an atrocity to me." She murmured quietly, "But I know the ways of others and how they despise and fear that that is different. I was forced to leave as well after the two-leg that cared for me passed." Her ears press back hard and there's a flash in her eyes, followed by a wince as she remembered the pain. The sticks and blows and rocks.
"I am finished with two-legs." she said decisively. "If there are still some that care well for you, I am pleased for you. But just because there are some good ones among others does not mean that they all are."
"The building I lived in was large, but cold. It was made of stone, and I do not know how it came to be- it had been there long before I was a foal. It was my home for many years, though I kept myself mostly hidden to the upper parts of it. I prefer the woods and the plains. Where I can find my own food and not need to rely on two-legs for it."
Sarei Stargazer My turn to apologize. My muse up and died for a few months :C
