Szen However, I did NOT choose to be gay either. stare Here, here! I didn't choose to be bisexual; I just am. I didn't wake up one morning and decide to like both genders. I suppose since it doesn't apply to girls (this 'study,' or whatever it is), it doesn't have much to do with me, but I have two older sisters, one straight, the other bi, and I'm bi. I can't see how it would have a determining effect on one's sexual orientation, but I can see how having only one gender of sibling would affect how one acts. Then again, that has nothing to do with orientation. Yeah, I just don't see how it works.

Whether the actual statistic they quoted was accurate or not, there is some truth to it. It has to do with a pregnant woman's level of certain hormones, which have been connected with homosexuality in men. These hormones are depleted with each pregnancy, hence the statistic; although, I think it's a rather generalized one, and not, by any means, a reliable method of prediction. These hormones are contributing factors, not the definitive cause.

I actually subscribe to a theory that its the genetics of mamalians as a whole slowly breaking down. I forget where I heard it, probably on Coast to Coast...what a shock.
Anyways, this isn't a bad theory; I've heard worse, and it is somewhat possible. If I can find out that theory I can't quite remember, I'll post it up for everyone. I thought it was really good.

I have an older half sister and a younger sister. My dad worked a lot and my mother, who I spent most of my time as a child with, works as a hair stylist.
But I believe that you are born with it.

It is a bit true that with rising populations, there is more instances of homosexuality in mammals... but I'm not sure that's what they're saying. Mostly, I think they're over generalizing.

I don't think its true at all
but Im more into the theory that its chemicals in the brain that react a certain way when your around the sex your attracted too and with most girls the reaction happens when their near guys and with most guys the reaction happens near girls and sometime it just does the oppisite.
