She brought it into the living room, where she sat back down to finish reading her book. Yet again, she was alone in the dorm... Well, her classes and clubs and whatnot were over with for now anyways. ☽============☼===========☾

He kept thinking, hoping that Karter wasn't worried or anything. What if something bad happened while he was gone? That would be horrible... He opened the door to the dorm and then let his feet touch the ground. He was dripping wet from the rain outside when he noticed Karter, in the living room, reading. Well, everything looked okay. ☽============Karter============☾ Karter turned around when she heard Percy, who seemed exhausted. He was also soaking wet. She turned to look out the window, where it was raining extremely heavily. "You were outside in that weather? Jeez, I knew you were a bit weird but... that's a bit crazy." She said, standing up and stretching out her arms. That was enough reading for today, it was at least a good hours worth, probably more. "No problem. I wouldn't want you to lock yourself up in here all day anyways. It'd be pretty boring, right? Gotta get out every once in a while." She said, in response to him apologizing for not being back quickly.
"You look exhausted." Karter said, picking up one of his bags and starting to carry it to his room, with or without his permission. She set it down on the floor next to his bed. "Huh, it's kinda stuffy in here..." She said, walking over and opening his window. "So, what were you doing, anyways?" She asked curiously. ☽============☼===========☾

★ Percius ☆ Aster ☆ Galileo ★○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○Percius laughed a little, trying to catch his breath. He smiled and nodded in response to Karter saying that he looked tired. "Well I did sprint back to the dorm..." Thankful that Karter was helping him with his bags, he followed her to his room with the remaining bags he had and set them down by his bed with the other one. Percy, after setting down the bag, found his hair brush and began to brush out the knots in his hair. What? He hated knots in his hair. And his hair had gotten messed up from the storm. "Well, you see... When you teleport like I do, sometimes you don't end up where you want to be. It's not quite teleporting as much as it is tessering. But tessering gets complicated, so I won't go into that. Let's just say my teleporting is different from what teleporting would normally be for people on Earth. You gotta calculate the distance exactly from where you are and where you want to go." He said, putting down the hair brush and finding a mirror, trying to fix his hair how he liked to have it. People had called him effeminate for being so picky with his hair, but it wasn't like Percy would ever need to strive to be a manly-man. No, he never liked that mind set. "Anyway, I ended up outside of the school, right by the gate. I saw some people and asked where I was and all. Then I got side tracked and got caught in a conversation... We saved a tree though. Turns out, star dust and rainwater is good for trees on Earth. Never knew that would work here, too." Percy looked away from the mirror, his hair being just right to him now. He could never stand his hair being any other way than it has always been. Why that was, nobody really knew. "Oh, and we could possibly end up getting another dorm-mate. I think one of the girls was looking for a dorm... And possibly the two others were too... But I think they'd end up sharing a room since they are like sisters or something. Maybe close friends? I dunno." He said as he looked out to the hallway, noticing one of the rooms looked like it had stuff in it. "Oh... ☽============Karter============☾ Karter tilted her head. "Why'd you sprint? Not like the dorm's going anywhere." She said with a light laugh. She could've actually guessed that it was because it was raining outside, and he didn't want to be caught in it, but Karter had no idea how long ago it had started raining. She watched as he started brushing his hair with a hair brush, seemingly trying to make it perfect. She never actually realized how long his hair was... Well, it wasn't necessarily long, but he did have a lot of it. "Tessering? Sounds interesting." She said, a bit absentmindedly. When he finished, Karter took a minute to think. "So... you have to, literally, calculate the exact, or close to it, distance from where you are now to where you're going? Sounds difficult." She said. Well, one who did that would be pretty good at math, right?
Karter laughed a bit when he said that star dust and rainwater were good for trees. "Well, I knew about the water, but star dust is new. Sounds like it would make for a good science experiment though." She said, stuffing her hands into her pockets. Oh how she loved science. The only thing she didn't find appealing about the subject was all the math that went into it. But that was something she could live with. Karter shrugged as he said that there might be more dorm mates arriving soon. "Well, there's only one more room open, so I hope they get here quick." She said. Percy noticed the room that had some bags and things in it, and asked if there was another roommate. "Yeah. His name's... Dallis? No, wait, Dal." She said, trying to remember his name. "Seemed nice enough. Said he was going to work or something as of now." ☽============☼===========☾

He said with a little laugh and another shrug. To be honest, he didn't know why he rushed to get back here. He really had no reason to... He laughed a little at the comment about tessering. "Yeah it's, um... it's interesting. Not very difficult, no. When I go to teleport, I can see where I'm going and the exact path I'd take if I were walking. You measure it by steps, rather than miles, feet, meters, or kilometers. Steps are a pretty universal measurement for that sort of thing. There's a lot of number-guessing in it, though. Like I said, it gets pretty complicated." Percy nodded about the science experiment. "It would..." He thought aloud. Maybe it would make for an interesting science project... He wondered what else there might be that stardust would be good for. He had heard that stardust tasted good but that would be weird for him to eat his own stardust and it was technically be cannibalism. He nodded again. Dal, huh? Interesting. Percy began to go through his bags to unpack. But first, he needed to find a dry shirt. He hated being in wet clothing, especially shirts. His pants we're wet at all, surprisingly, so he only had to find a shirt. He eventually found one and pulled it out of the bag. Then he remembered that Karter might not be comfortable with him just taking his shirt off then and there only to swap it with a drier one. So, he decided to ask. "You, um... You don't mind if I just change my shirt really quick? It'll just take a second, I wouldn't want to kick you out of my room or anything just for a shirt... Unless you... I, um... yeah." There was a faintly pink blush on his face for some reason. Mostly from remembering making the mistake of not asking this girl one time before swapping his shirt and causing a very awkward situation for the girl - a previous dorm mate from years ago - and himself. ○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○★Thinking: I should ask first...★★Feeling: Awkward★★My Life: Click here!★

☽============Karter============☾ Karter shrugged. "Well, I suppose it's a nice thing to do." She said. He didn't seem to have a particular reason for hurrying back. Well, maybe it was just because Karter wasn't one to worry much about anything. Just go with the flow, right? That was how she thought about things. He would've gotten back eventually. When he spoke more about tessering, she nodded. "It sounds kind of like walking with a blindfold. Like you know where you're going, but if you'll be in that exact spot is uncertain. Or at least, that's what it sounds like." She said, trying to imagine it in her own mind.
Karter couldn't help but laugh at his question. "Fine by me. Only bothers me if it bothers you." She noticed the blush on his face, but didn't make any mention of it. He seemed to feel a bit awkward. Karter wasn't really sure why, although it was probably because of the previously asked question. [And thus I run out of things to say =.=] ☽============☼===========☾

It's a very quick calculation and happens in an instant, so it's very easy to miscount or maybe skip a step. The odd thing about teleporting is that there are so many ways to do it and it all depends on where you plan to go. Tessering, for example, is very complicated because it's meant to be used for crossing solar systems, galaxies, and such within an instant. The teleporting I do is like an altered version of that - safer for traveling short distances and doesn't take up too much energy." He said, hoping he wasn't confusing her too much. Then he thought of a good way to describe it without confusing her. "It's like... You know how you said that there are different kind of vampires? Yeah... Like that. Me creating my own way of teleporting is more or less like you deciding to go vegan after trying different kinds of blood... Yeah..." It sounded like it made sense. But, then again, everything he thought of made sense to him but wouldn't necessarily make sense to other people. He shrugged it, off. Eh, whatever. Percy's blush had faded a little after Karter had said it was alright. Good. He didn't want a repeat of that situation again. He laughed it off a little as he took off his shirt and swapped it for a drier one. The crop-circle like marks were showing clearly when his shirt was off. "There. That's better." He thought out loud as he sat down on his bed for a second or so. "Actually, I should probably unpack..." Percius stood back up again and began to pull things out of his already open suit case to put them away in their drawers. ○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○★Thinking: That's good.★★Feeling: Relieved but still a little awkward.★★My Life: Click here!★Paranormal Teddy Yeah, he kind of has to be polite... Since he doesn't want to hurt or offend anyone. lol. I love Percy. He's become my favorite character since he's so complex and weird.

☽============Karter============☾ Karter nodded as he spoke. It all seemed very complicated... Quite frankly, she was impressed that he could teleport at all, let alone do it with all these other complicated factors. As he thought of a situation that related to there being different types of vampires, she started to understand it a little better. "That makes sense. So there's not one concrete way of teleporting. More like... a variety of ways to get the same result?" She said, as that was what she was understanding of it.
She noticed the markings on his back. "Are those marks all over your body? And, pardon me for asking, but what are they exactly?" She asked, curious as to what they were. Karter had already noticed them on his neck/collar bone, under his eye, and on his hands and arms, but honestly gave no thought to it until now. It seemed unlikely that they were tattoos, Percy didn't really seem like the type to get a single tattoo anywhere, let alone a couple on his entire body. So... what were they?
"I could help if you want. Not like I have anything to do anyways." Karter offered as he mentioned unpacking. She had already attended all her classes, and she wasn't exactly the one to practice for, well, anything. She could've studied, but there'd be plenty of time for that later. ☽============☼===========☾ Nerdy Oatmeal Ahaha, it's always the characters that were made with an interesting inspiration that turn out the most fun to play ^^

There are some ways that are more common than others. The most common I would say is scattering your particles throughout the air and hoping that they'll end up all together. That's normally done with a machine though. And it's pretty dangerous..." He sighed, remembering something from a while ago involving that sort of teleportation... He was in his own little bubble of thoughts until after Karter had asked about his marks. "Oh, you mean these?" He asked as he pulled up the red sleeve on arm that he wore to cover up the marks. He didn't care about his marks... but he got a lot of strange looks from people when he didn't cover them. Hence, we wore the sleeves to avoid such things. He rolled the sleeve back down as he thought of how to explain it. "To be honest... I don't really know. I always just assumed that they were how all the star energy stays sealed up inside me but, to tell you the truth, I've really got no idea. They could mean something, for all I know. It's not a language I recognize though so I doubt that." He shrugged, as he put away some of the clothing in their proper drawers. "They glow sometimes, though. When I'm teleporting and using a lot of star energy, they glow... It's weird."Percy nodded. "Alright, that's fine with me. Thanks~" He answered, the 'thanks' being in a singsongy tone. He went back to his bag and grabbed some more things to put away. ○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○★Thinking: Actually...★★Feeling: Neutral★★My Life: Click here!★Paranormal Teddy Exactly! " She said, although it might have just been the way he had phrased it. If there was certainty that they would end up in the same exact location, then it might make sense... but by just hoping for something to happen, you're almost guaranteeing yourself failure, especially if the desired outcome has a low possibility of actually happening. At least, that was how it seemed in her opinion.
So they were all over him, huh? As Percy explained that he didn't really know, Karter thought about it. They glowed when he used a lot of star energy? That was interesting... She sat down next to him and started folding his clothes, then handing them to him to be put away wherever he wanted them. "Huh. It doesn't sound impossible... Maybe it's the source of your powers?" She suggested. ☽============☼===========☾

What's the show or, uh, movie called? Star Hike or something...? ... Star Trek! That one. Yeah. The guy who gets beamed up and all that stuff, that's basically what that is. It's guided by a machine... Although, it's very hard to harness that sort of technology. It's nearly impossible for it to be safe. For many reasons more than just not materializing fully." He said with a nod. Teleporting... What a difficult thing it was, indeed. But once you got it down, it was easy. Sort of like riding a bike. Percy continued to put away his clothes, grabbing them from Karter after they were neatly folded. He thought it over for a minute or so... Source of his powers? He never really thought of it quite in that way... "Could be... I don't know. I always just saw it as the mark of Star-people but, since I've never seen any other Star-people, I don't really know. Heck, I don't know if there are any. I could be the only one, for all I know..." He shrugged and sighed, acting as though the idea of being the only one was nothing to him. In all truthfulness, it was something that bothered him deeply. He never liked the idea of being alone, so he never put too much thought into that idea. ○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○◯○○★Thinking: Yeah... ☽============Karter============☾ Karter nodded. She didn't actually know that teleportation had been achieved anywhere, although by this point she was assuming he meant on another planet. Percy had mentioned before about having been to other planets and seeing other civilizations and things. "Right, right. But not all machines are reliable. I mean... they break down. If they were to break down during teleportation, you're a goner, right?" She said.
As Percy spoke about the marks some more, Karter frowned a bit. She didn't like the last part of it. 'I could be the only one.' It was a sad way to think. And Percy wasn't the type to think about things in a negative way. At least, he didn't seem like it to her. "...Don't think that way." She said after a minute. It was all she could think to say, really. "I mean... it's a sad thought. And, well, just because you haven't seen them, doesn't mean they aren't there." She said, a slight blush creeping across her face. One thing she hated about being vampire, the light skin tone. ☽============☼===========☾
