The stallion was lucky that his son was distracted as he was not having the best luck picking up a hunt for them. He wondered if it was something he could accomplish later when the colt was resting. He'd probably have a better chance taking to flight and scouting for meat. Having a noisy colt next to him would not help the chances in running into another creature, especially one that was afraid of them.
"That's a mountain, and I have been to one of those before. They are what you say- even higher up then you imagine. Once you learn to fly and are older I'll take you." He could envision his son in his grown state stalking on mountain tops. Perhaps it was meant to be already?
"Let's go find a home base, then I'll go find us something to eat. You can help find where we should spend our days and nights." Temptation would need to get used to staying somewhere for a long period of time. His old habits had him bouncing from base to base due to the females he would visit...
The stallion watched the colt as his eyes traced everything around them. When Inferno bounced ahead and found a cave, Temptation couldn't argue with that. That would suffice and it looked dark and scary enough that he imagined they could scare approaching Soquili away easily. So this was their home. It fit the part and would do.
"Let's stay here, and we'll take one day at a time." He smiled at his son and followed him into the dark opening. So much time had already passed with the both of them, and he already felt like he knew his son so well. What an amazing concept.
Temptation would enjoy his growth and train him, raise him and build him as much as he had promised. This was his next adventure, and he had accepted the responsibilities and challenges ahead with as much grace a new father could.
