The Page listened in earnest, his curiosity getting the better of him as she continued explain her reasons for joining up with the Negaverse. It felt flimsy, and the idea of "quitting" not being an option got a little smile out of him. One he hoped would maybe help her get a bit more comfortable around him; she was still blushing the slightly bit and looking a little too nervous for him to be completely comfortable.
"Quitting isn't something we get to do either," he offered, the smile turning sympathetic. "I mean, I think we might be able to ignore it, but I doubt these powers can be returned to whomever gave them to us in the first place."
In short, normal life would always be out of his reach now.
What followed after his little interruption pulled his lips down into a line, though, an expression somewhat mirroring the grim one that she now wore. To that he really had nothing to say, so he just scratched his head again and let the topic go in favor of a bit silence.
He felt a wave of relief when she seemed to piece together what he managed to tell her, though the frown remained. "I'm.. not really sure, to be honest," he admitted with a sigh. "If they could feel every person in the city with some kind of 'inner power' or something then they'd probably go around more like assassins than recruiters."
His shoulders rolled in a shrugging motion then. "The pain's every bit as real in this 'deam' of yours though, yeah?"

“At least you have the option of ignoring it,” Galena said in her usual, flat tone, but if you listened carefully there might’ve been a hint of derision in it.
She had heard stories, and even seen, the General Kings and Queens’ abilities to summon subordinates. Teleport them out of their lives for meetings, punishments, whatever was necessary. And if she didn’t know better she would’ve thought there was jealously slowly rooting it’s way into her thoughts about the matter.
“Regardless, yes, there’s pain. There’s unease. I suppose it is only wishful thinking to consider it might not be as real as it feels.”
She stopped, staring and blinking into an awkward silence before shaking her head. “I’m sorry if I’ve put a damper on your night, sir. I’ll be taking my leave,” And she gave him a small bow of her head before turning to do just that.

Ashur watched her curiously before sighing. "One way to look at it, I guess," he replied, then decided it'd probably be better to just drop it. There wasn't much more to say, though he did learn a bit more about the Negaverse. He didn't really have any other questions right then, but his curiosity was satiated some, at the least.
Her abrupt goodbye, though, certainly caught him off-guard. Ash blinked over at her as she turned, then nodded. "No biggie," he called after her. "I learned a bit about you guys anyway, so I'd call it a productive evening." The Page gave a small smile and a wave, let her figure leave his sight, then turned and started heading back to the perch he'd left earlier that evening.Carneli Done and done~ Sorry this is so late. x3;;;
