Diacyn blinked at the pink-ness of the scrap he had recieved, but proceeded to calmly wind it around his hand. He would have been honored, but he was busy that kingfisher a look. The kind that clearly conveyed the idea of "I could karate your a** into next Tuesday if I wanted to. I just don't want to. b*****d."
"Oh, he belongs to that cat thing? Does that mean the cat's here too?"
Diacyn wanted nothing more then to gnaw that catboy's ears to shreds. He would never forgive him for making Iamel sad, an inexcusable offense.

Dax, indignant at the way he had been treated, made himself comfortable in his "Brother's" red hair and promptly ignored the look he recieved from the bald-rock.
He was squeezing me so hard I couldn't breathe. If you would have rather me DIED instead of peck my way out of his grasp...Well then, that makes me kind of hurt.
Considering the king fisher had gone through ALL that trouble just to get here and be with Iamel, Dax figured he deserved Iamel to take HIS side. And he'd play the guilt card until the other agreed or threw him off his head.
And I'll be nicer when I'm not being used as a second rate chew toy for bald-boy's hands.

"He was going to let you go," Iamel informed the bird with a pout to his lips, still bouncing slightly on the balls of his feet. HE didn't mind if Dax was on his head - afterall, the fluffit kingfisher lived with him. Stuff like that would get overlooked.
But Diacyn was his friend. he'd be on Diacyns side. "Catbitch? Uh... Probably." He grinned, giving Diacyns wrapped wound a little pat before glancing around...and resting his gaze on Catbitch and Shiniee. "There he is. The one with the ears."

"Yeah, I wasn't going to kill you," Diacyn said unconvincingly. "Then Iamel would be all sad and I'd have to deal with that. Plus you're probably too bony and fluffy to taste any good." He flexed his wounded hand experimentally, giving Iamel a tiny smile and Iamel's new hat a quick snarl before locating the "catbitch."
Oh yes. That cat-hybrid-whatsit was going to pay for making Iamel cry.
He retrieved his rocks and frog-whacking stick from the ground. "Ambush, anyone?"

"We'll get a rabbit or squirrel or something later - something not bony and fluffy." He nodded back firmly, returning the smile with one of his own and a small bounce to his heals.
However, the attack on Mordread made him pause, twisting around to peer at the eared, pale kitty man. "Hmm... Shiniee might be upset. He can hit real hard."

Dax certainly didn't believe Diacyn and, had he been able to, he would have hissed at him to show it.
May I suggest NOT attacking the stupid cat? He may be stupid, but the other guy, Iamel's companion, seems to really like him. And. He, well, despite my loathing of him at the moment, is MY Shiniee.
Well - he DID have a point, you know. Only person who could attack Mordread was hime. And right now he wasn't feeling particularly violent.
It'd be fun but stupid.
Would anyone ever be able to figure out how Dax went from mood to mood?

Ah. Patrick. That was a problem. Namely, Patrick was taller then all of them and had few issues with wielding that power. But that's what ambushes were for! Gaining the advantage through suprise! Any ninja knew that. And besides, Diacyn was the type who heard only the "fun" in "fun but stupid."
"You're just a wimps. But, uh..."
He really didn't want to tangle with Patrick a second time....
Diacyn quickly snapped his stick-sword between his fingers. "My stick is broken. We can just plan for now."
There. a**: covered. Pride: Hopefully preserved.
He'd have to analyze the enemy's weaknesses and... stuff. "So how did you get stuck with catbitch, you maniac?"
