The shot had her reeling back once more, this time nearly falling when without thinking, America flung Stryker out as she stumbled. The ball shot forward at speed, it's chain catching and wrapping around Nevada's waist with a hard yank while America used the other hunter as an anchor to regain her balance.

"This is feeling a lot less like a spar and a helluva lot more like target practice, gotta say!"

The shot crashed through Stryker's shield and was what finally knocked America down. Flat on her back, staring up at the sky, she let Stryker return to his pin form and waited for her organs to remember they have work to do.

Eventually, she rasped out, "Candy would be....greatly appreciated."

"Naw, thank you. Obviously I need to be out here getting more fight time in, because that was one helluva trouncing you gave me," despite the loss, America found herself grinning. "I'm gonna get better you know, so you had best watch your back."

Losing was not, it has to be said, a thing America greatly enjoyed. But the flipside of a loss was that it pointed out a way to be better. And that was a word near and dear to her heart.

She considered the offer, and then finally batted her eyelashes, hands held out, "Yes."
