Glancing over Terran's shoulder, she bit her lip. It was a long way to the Tree, wasn't it? Well, if you went by land at least. You could go much of the way by the water, she understood, as that was the way the Court had taken for their meeting with the Faun, but she wasn't personally familiar with the route. She didn't favor getting lost trying to go over the land, and who knew if her friend would be familiar enough with the water route to give her directions.
Which left two options. They could just meet at Venus' temple like last year. Or they could meet here at the lake and travel together to the party. Her first inclination was that they didn't want this year to turn out quite the same as the last, so maybe they should start it off differently as well. Out loud, she mused, "Well, I'm not sure if I know the way to the Tree well enough to make it on my own, at least not over the land. And well, I think I remember where the temple is, but it's been a while since I've been on land," she admitted. "I do live here...I mean, in the lake, not like...here in this spot," she giggled nervously, neglecting to mention 'in the palace' as her actual residence. "I suppose...we could meet here, then travel to the party together? I mean, if that's not putting you too far out of your way. I don't want to be a bother. I'm sure I could find the temple again if you'd rather meet there instead," she finished quickly, glancing down at her toes. Heh. Toes.

Terran was thankful that she had agreed against the tree. It would only look too coincidental if a beautiful female arrived at the tree and he left with her just hours prior to the party. No, going to get her first would be perfect, at least for his alibi. He'd be out of the tree, on his way to Moana, looooooonnnnnggggg before the party began. "No, that won't be out of my way at all and you would never be a bother." It might have been a little bit out of his way, but he had strong, sturdy legs that were meant for walking and it suited better for his particular needs. . The fact that he was sort of picking her up first made it feel less casual then just meeting up as friends at a party. Terran liked the thought of that. The faun nodded his head firmly. "Alright, I will be here." He grinned a boyish grin.

"You're sure? I dunno, I've been told I can be quite a pain to put up with," Moana joked lightly. It was nice that he was willing to go out of his way for her sake. She should be able to manage the trip over the land well enough, and if she remembered correctly, the temple had been equipped with water tanks for herself and her brethren's sakes at the party. That shouldn't be an issue then.
"Alright then, it's a da--" she turned, reaching out as if to shake hands on the deal, then realizing what she'd almost said, halted mid-sentence and flushed warmly. Well, not a date date...not like that...right? Not unless...
Clearing her throat, she played off the comment as best as she could with a giggle. "Err...so, I'll see you here then?"

Terran had been mentally working hard to not even think about the line, 'it's a date', let alone accidentally say it himself. So when Moana almost said those exact words, and he knew that was what she almost said, it amused him. He liked the idea of it being a real date, but rather then let things get awkward about the status of their non-date as a potential date Terran smiled and nodded his head, "I will see you here." The male stood up and shook some of the sand out of his fur in preparation to say goodbye until next time.

The simple action presented Moana with a new dilemma. Should she stand as well? What if she had forgotten how? By the waters, she'd better remember how if they were going to a dance together. Maybe she should just remain sitting instead. It didn't feel right though, so after he stood, she attempted to do the same. She was more or less successful.
The transition from knees to feet on the sand was troublesome, more than she remembered, and she stumbled when attempting to straighten up. Her reaction to the prospect of falling forward towards the sands was to reach out and grasp Terran's arm without thinking. Only when her fall was halted had she realized what she'd done and flushed, hastening to right herself and let go. "Oh, gods and little fishes," she muttered, stealing her mother's curse, "...I'm sorry about that. Suppose I have some work to do getting my 'land legs' again," she said sheepishly, one hand holding onto the opposite upper arm. Silly, clumsy girl...
"Um, so...yeah, I'll see you then," she repeated, looking down and digging her toes into the sands awkwardly.

He was surprised that she was standing to say goodbye to him, but Terran's arms were ready for her when she started to reach for him. When she was steady and let go, he let his arms fall back to his sides. "It's alright," he said sincerely. "At least you have some time to practice," he said lightheartedly with a smile. He was trying to make her feel better about it. He could understand why she'd have a hard time walking, and sand wasn't exactly the best place to give it a first shot, he would trip all over the sand too if he wasn't careful. Still trying to make her feel better about it, "If all else fails you can teach me whatever water dances the Naiad might have in the water tanks there."

She smiled gratefully when he covered for her embarrassment. At least, that's what it felt like he was doing. And his offer...
So, if she made a fool of herself on the land, he was willing to do the same in the water? She laughed lightly, quipping, "Hope you're ready to get your fur wet then!" She was highly likely to make a fool of herself at this rate...but at least she wouldn't be alone.
Moana reached for one of his hands, glancing towards the water shyly. About time she be getting back home. "So, it's a deal then. I'll see you here before the party. I'm looking forward to it," she answered honestly, surprised at how quickly her feelings had changed about attending another of these 'parties' on the land. It was fine, right? She'd have her friend watching her back.

Teigra I'm okay with this end, unless you'd like to post again. "I suppose... I need a bath anyways." Terran smiled. All the while he was thinking about how awkward it would look if he attempted to dance in water, his hooves were incredibly clumsy in the water, but he wouldn't mind for her. The faun took her hand, noticing she was reaching for it again. He allowed his head to tilt toward the side, curious, but still kept his playful demeanor. "I will see you then." Inside, he felt confident, and he would more than likely be walking home with a puffed out chest, proud. He'd found Moana, and not only that, but he was going to the dance with her. His heart finally took the chance to flutter in excitement now that he was away from her.
