The fight was over. One of the stallions had yielded to the other and B'Elanna gave a small sound of relief. Both fighters seemed to have picked up injuries even if it was a friendly competition. Her gaze flitted away from the sight of the other mare running out to check on the status of the loser. Her own hooves carried her nearer to the group. It was just in time to see the other mare smack the winner of the fight with her wings. Well this was a surprise.
A small amused sound escaped her as she moved to stand nearer to the blue stallion. "So even though you won the fight ... I'd say you lost it as well."

Thane was... well, shocked. He just kind of stared at Bernadette in awe, not really sure what just happened. "I.. uh.." He'd under estimated Cato's stories that his mate was.. well.. exuberant, to put it nicely. Blinking a few times, and seeing her go back to fretting over Cato, he turned to the unfamiliar mare with a brilliant smile. "I would have to agree with you miss." Chuckling, he glanced at Cato and Bernadette again, highly amused. "Are you a friend of theirs?" He asked casually, stretching his wings to loosen the soreness that was growing.
Cato was overwhelmed, trying to answer her comments or questions but failing to get a word in. "Bernadette... Bernadette... sweetie..." He eventually gave up, just waiting until she she wore herself out of breath, laughing when she whacked Thane in the head. He then smiled at her teary eyes and kissed her forehead. "I'm going to be just fine. Thane is going to help heal us both, I promise. We've seen worse."

Bernadette tried to catch her breath and peered around at the other stallion who was supposedly going to fix him. "... Promise? Cause once you're fixed it's my turn to beat you senseless. I swear you do this on purpose. Can't we have a quiet morning where you don't sneak out." She gave an exasperated sigh and hid her face in his shoulder. "You both suck."

At least it seemed both stallions had a sense of humor. B'Elanna canted her gaze to the side to watch the couple interact with each other before returning her attention to the blue stallion. She took in his question before shaking her head in response. "I must admit that I believe you are all strangers to me. The sounds of your fight drew me out from where I had been resting for the night. I was a little worried at first."
B'Elanna realized that the other mare had been talking to her partner at the same time and caught the words that she ended with before giving a rueful grin in response, "I'd have to agree with your statement." With a sheepish grin she addressed both stallions. "Sorry, but she has the right of it."

(( My last response for the night, I'll respond to your responses tomorrow though. 8D I've really enjoyed this RP! ))
Thane laughed, tossing his head back. "You think we suck?" He asked the unknown mare, eyes full of laughter. "Come on, after seeing that, how can you think we suck? We rock." He politely ignored the glares he knew he would be getting from Bernadette on that statement.
Cato grinned foolishly, wrapping his wings around Bernadette at the same time. "Yes, we certainly 'rock', brother." They did the winged version of a high five, grinning at each other.
Thane smiled at Bernadette then. "Of course I'll heal him, madame. My horn isn't just a weapon for kicking your mate's butt." He winked, smiling sweetly down at her even though he expected her piercing eyes in return. He wouldn't be disappointment, he was sure.

B'Elanna gave an amused glance towards the couple before chuckling softly at the blue stallion. Her soft brown eyes took in everything before she gave a small sigh. This mock battle between friends had been an interesting diversion from her own depressing thoughts. She took a step forward and nudged the blue stallion. It was time to introduce herself it seemed.
"I guess you have a point sir. Your battle was most impressive even if it was not a real contest. I do apologize as I seemed to have forgotten to introduce myself. I am known as B'Elanna but mostly I just go by Belle."

Indeed, if eyes could shoot daggers Thane would be a stuck pig right about now. Cato was trying to distract her, and damn him snuggling always worked. She buried into his wings but gave him a hard n** for good measure. "Well quit your prancing around and fix him then."
Bernadette had momentarily forgotten the spectator in her blind fear for her stupid mate. She smiled at the mare, "Please there's no need for you to apologize, if anything these two block heads should apologize for forgetting their manners. My name is Bernadette. And this brick head is my mate, Cato. It's a pleasure to meet you, though I do wish it had been under better circumstances."

Thane smiled a little sheepishly now. His adrenaline had momentarily fogged his mind to the point he'd forgotten his chivalry. "I do so apologize Miss Belle." He bowed low the ground, wincing mutely at the wounds that protested. "I am Thane." He stood straight once more, flashing his winning smile again.
Cato nodded when he was introduced, never the overly friendly. He stepped away from Bernadette and to the side so that Thane had access to his marks and soreness.
"This will only take a moment, now." He said to the mare, as if she would go somewhere in the mean time. Avoiding eye contact with Bernadette, mainly to avoid guilt, Thane leaned his horn over the cut that looked the worst on Cato's leg. Slowly, Thane's horn began to glow a muted, dull blue. The cut began to glow slightly too, shimmering. When Thane pulled back, there was no more flowing blood, and it had sealed. Obviously it wasn't perfect yet, it would still take a few days to completely scab over, but hey--he was only like 1/3 unicorn. That was pretty good, he thought, at least.

B'Elanna's gaze came up to meet Bernadette's fussing over Cato and she hid a small grin. The other mare's words had B'Elanna grinning back. She watched the blue stallion, no Thane, tend to Cato's wounds with interest. Back home there had been healers but they had preferred to work behind the scenes in a sense, hiding their craft from prying eyes. The caramel colored mare ran her nose against her front leg before realizing that she was staring at the faded blue glow.
"It is a pleasure to meet all of you."
There was a small piece inside of her that missed the closeness of interaction with friends. She'd given that up when she left the place she had called home.
