Lord Redtail Rathan Ah, drat I thought it was... I went and looked it up and everything but I just saw the first bit. Poo bum. ~~Serena Fayne~~  "Cutlery is over there...under that massive big chunk of ceiling...Hmm never mind, they can dip the bread and drink from the bowls."
Serena breezed around the kitchen, stepping over the debris as if she'd always done so.
"Okay, Ryan seeing as my kitchen crew haven't made it back here yet, you get to help me in the line up. You're on bread. Two slices, no more. They can only have seconds once everyone else is fed. Remember their faces, they'll try to pull one over you if you don't. As if I don't feed them enough!"
Serena completely dismissed the remark about her being high strung. She just wasn't like the other people of her race. She'd not always been like this, though. But she didn't dwell on that, it'd only get her down and she had a shipload of people to feed.

Ryan didn't respond, simply taking up position near the end of the line, with a couple loaves of bread. He really didn't care what he had to do, so long as he was helping. He knew Jessie'd gone to Sickbay, but he hoped she was okay.

~~Serena Fayne~~ Serena ladled the broth into the bowls. It was a generous helping and the bread was thick. There would still be some complainers but you just had to take them with a grain of salt. Serena looked down the line at Ryan.

She gave Ryan an encouraging smile and shooed him from the kitchen. The line was almost finished anyway.

Serena waved to him as he walked out before going back to the service line. Her kitchen crew finally made their way in sheepishly and she snapped at them with a dishtowel. They ran from her laughing before she assigned them chores to do. At last she poured a bowl for herself and ripping a piece of bread apart, started dunking it in the stew as she sat up on one of the benches watching the kitchen buzz around her.

Celdor wandered into the Galley. He wasn't here for the food, just to make sure everyone was okay. He figured he'd treat the minor injuries, letting Dr. Sadenes handle the major ones.
"I everyone alright in here?"
His trained voice carried across the buzz of the room.

~~Serena Fayne~~ There was a chorus of yes's from the kitchen staff. Serena had zoned out while eating her food and she almost choked when she saw Celdor standing there before her. Oh my! Is that who I think it is? And in my kitchen? Holy Flap-Dragon!
Serena had forgotten to breathe and was almost turning as blue as her hair before she spat out what was in her mouth and coughed, wheezing, trying to catch her breath... Her eyes watered with the effort and she jumped off the bench, a hand to her chest. Her kitchen staff looked at her perplexed.

Celdor hurried to her side, brought his arm back, and slapped her back, right in between her shoulder blades, causing her to expell her food, clearing her airway.
"That's better. You alright, Miss...?"

Lord Redtail Rathan Lol, yes I knew it had dragons. ~~Serena Fayne~~ Serena looked up at him dumbstruck, her eyes still watering. She hurriedly wiped them and tried to straighten herself out in front of Celdor while her crew snickered behind her back, one even brazen enough to wolf whistle. She threw him a sharp glance before turning to face Celdor again.
"Yes, thank you. You saved my life. More than I can say for this lot."
She jabbed a thumb behind her and the snickers turned into full blown laughter. She sighed and shook her head smiling.
"Though really I'm a big fan of yours." She added a slight blush rising in her cheeks.

One of the staff said from behind her as Celdor turned away. All Serena could do was stop and stare when a thought came to her.
"Oh wait, please! Umm, we could use a hand getting that chunk of ceiling off the cutlery. We aren't strong enough to lift it..."
"What! You never even asked us to lift it..."
Someone else chimed in. Serena spun around and made a "be silent" gesture. They all comically zipped their mouths shut.
