“You’ll have to take my word for it when I swear to you that for all that you have only seen senshi playing Tame. You can believe me when I say they are not…always tame. Better for you I promise that I have FAR too many layers to show you some of my scars. You can ask Scheelite if you see him, inquire about his KNEE, ask him about the woman who’s scarf he wears…ask him, or I or anyone who was there to raid the Blood Moon Court what they did to Tanzanite, particularly senshi who remain in their ‘white’ uniforms… perhaps it shows the blood better.”

He shrugged and narrowed his eyes considering your offer.

“You want to know… my darkest moments?” He arched an eyebrow. “Do you mean moments that haunt me? Or moments that define me…because they can be… quite separate. I am as defined by the people that I chose to hold close to me… as I am by moments that have brought me to this point.”

"I mean bos'. We form our foundations around ze twisted upheavals provided by zese dark times, and zey form ze strange supports zat cement us togezzer. Were I not assistant to a group suicide, I would not be as strong as I am now. Anyone can haf' a moment of achievement, of victory, but zose fleeting times do not stain our bodies as soroughly as ze abject failures. Success does not change us so... wholly." With an audible breath, he offered his superior a smile, more a severe crack along his stoicism than any show of warmth.

"I sink you will find zat I am not picky toward your stories. But... I want to know what haunts you, for zose are ze stories zat provoke change." Perhaps they related to the Blood Moon that he heard of on numerous occasions, or something far beyond the imagination lent by novels and vignettes innumerable. However, the mention of close relations stirred a sneer in the misanthrope, and he manifested little interest in obscuring it. The abysmally short General-King sported enough stoicism for the both of them - so Bischofite would attribute the volatile emotion to their mix. "But people... Zey are catalysts. Instigators." Curious little trinkets awaiting observation. Caustic tools intended for drastic implementation.

Idly he wondered if Zinkenite watched a liberated abdominal cavity steam on a crisp morning. He wondered if the man ever quite related it to hot coffee, or the way his breath spooled out visibly before blending into the algid air. He wondered if the blue-haired boy equated it to a hot shower, or a steaming pot of crabs. He wondered what the man might avoid asa result, if he took his coffee over ice or if he spurned seafood or took baths religiously.

He wondered if Zinkenite only saw the blank stare of the corpse, and how undeniably similar it looked to one of his officers. His peers.

“To know what haunts a man though is also to hold a piece of him in your hand. That, is an element of trust, a tool and a fact that can kill. You would become a more potent catalytic if you knew what haunted my dreams and decisions.”

“Failure has never haunted me quite so deeply, as succeeding, because my success, was deemed a –weakness. Success and failure are like truths and lies, all haunted by perception. I saved a life… I nearly died for it. But I would do it again even if it cost me my life and I would not, and could not regret it. Is that a savory enough tidbit for you officer?”

"Maybe zat is my aim, General-King." A blackened smile bloomed across his features. "If we knew what haunted ze men and women zat bolster our ranks, how potently might we motivate zem? Many formidable dictators in ze past knew of ze usefulness latent in fear, and its subsequent partner - pain. And for zose zat wish to escape it... Youmafication comes to mind." His smile broadened further in light of his posthuman brethren.

The Saarlander grunted in response to Zinkenite's concession. His grin faded in response, reduced to a tired and sallow stoicism. "It is disappointingly slim, but zat will suffice." Finally Bischofite breathed a sigh, closing his eyes in the process. "You like to hold all ze cards, do you not? Zat must make for an atrociously straightforward game of poker, Zinkenite. Maybe you should share sometime - you may discover ze merits of unpredictability." To know of his addictions without Alois' prior dispensation of the information - it felt jarring, wholly violating. He hated the man's intimate understanding of his vices, and any sources to such meticulously guarded information.

Had Benitoite divulged such information? Was Serpentine quick to voice his concerns to the nearest open ear? Or had Zinkenite other methods of deducing such potent secrets. He didn't know, but his position at the mercy of the shorter General-King both excited and irked him.
