Rosalinna heard the woman call for the rest of the food and finished making her napkin into a rose. She smiled and placed her fork down waiting for the rest of the food to come. She snapped her head to look over at Valkyrie when the woman addressed her. And she was shocked when Valkyrie didn't call her madame again. It wasn't a nickname but at least this time it was only her name no title or other formal thing. It made her feel better. She frowned not sure what Valkyrie was getting at she knew she hadn't spilled any dressing on her shin. But she sighed and undid the rose so she could use her napkin. When she pulled it away she saw the red stain of blood and she titled her head realizing she had bitten her lip harder than she had meant to. She held the napkin to her lip to stop the blood from dripping down her chin. Seeing Valkyrie eat the salad with such hunger was interesting. "Are you that hungry?" Or was she just trying really hard not to pay attention to the blood?

Valkyrie chewed and gulped down the current bite of salad, savoring the taste of blood as ran down her throat. She looked up curiously at the girl as she spoke, noticing for the first the time that her voice was very soft and had a sweet tone to it. She liked it, and thinking it was beautiful decided that she would have to work on public speech with the girl. Yes, Madame, I am actually that hungry. I waited all day to eat so that I could sit and have dinner with my new guest. I must say though, please don't comment on the rate at which other people eat. I will let it slide tonight, Rosalinna, but many people would find it rude to have their eating habits talked about. It would make them feel self conscious. She paused to watch the blood on the napkin dry, finding it less appealing as it got darker and congealed. The waiter should have the steaks over here any second now

Rosalinna watched Valkyrie chew and swallow the food and wondered if this was a favorite meal of the lady's or not. She tilted her head as she saw the curious look that Val was giving her she had no idea what was so interesting about herself that would cause this one to look at her like that. SAhe sighed and frowned as she was called madame again. She was really starting to hate being called that. She pouted and looked down feeling really bad for Val. She knew how hard it could be to be hungry and forced to wait to eat it was never fun. "I'm sorry you had to wait to eat with me. But honestly you could have eaten before I got here I wouldn't have been offended if you didn't eat with me or ate less. You shouldn't make yourself be hungry. And I wasn't trying to make you feel self conscious I just thought that the way you ate was really cute and it seemed you were hungry so I was also worried." She sighed no matter what she did it was wrong she waited for some reprimand for the words she had just said since every time she had opened her mouth this woman had correct her in some way. She watched the look Valkyrie gave the drying blood on the napkin and she put it on her lap so it was out of sight. Unsure if it freaked Valkyrie out or something like that. She nodded as Valkyrie spoke about the steak soon being out.

It was my choice to wait Rosalinna, no need to feel sorry. She replied, trying to cover for the blood hunger that had washed over her at the sight of fresh liquid on Rosalinna's mouth. And my eating was....cute? She pondered on it, hoping the girl was flattering her just to get her off her back. I hardly think that chewing on lettuce is worthy of the word 'cute' Madame. She watched Rosalinna get uneasy about the blood and pulled her mind away from it. She couldn't risk her guest learning about her awful habits.
The waiter brought the steaks out to the table, medium-rare for Madame Rosalinna and Extra Rare for Valkyrie. The extra blood in the rare steak would help to hold her over and if Rosalinna asked, she would say that rare steak is an upperclass delicacy.

Rosalinna smiled when Valkyrie called her by her name. It was better than Madame though still way too formal. She would need to teach Val to not call her by so many fancy things but she had a feeling she would need to go slow with that. If she pushed way too much then nothing would get accomplished. "Still there truly was no need for you to wait for me to get here. Please next time if you are hungry then eat." She didn't want to be more of a burden. She nodded. "Yes very cute." She smirked and teased a little bit. Even though she really did think it was cute. "Oh and what in your opinion is worthy of being called cute? I think if something is cute it should be called cute. And you are cute." She was in a playful mood and was being honest. "Well maybe adorable is a better word to use." She watched Valkyrie and waited to see what would happen.
She brightened as the steak arrived and she grabbed a fork and a knife and began to cut her steak. She looked at Val's and tilted her head. "Wow that steak is very rare." It was very interesting to see just how rare that steak was and she was surprised that this prim and proper lady was going to eat such a rare cut of meat.

"Miss Rosalinna I already DO eat of my own accord. It was my choice to wait, I did not feel obligated. She cut into the steak and savored the blood running down her throat. She was about to swallow when Rose's words threw her off, causing her to cough and choke for a second before finally pulling herself together. The meat now burned her thraat from the coughing and her eyes were watering. She looked up at Rosalinna, shocked, and tried to muster up a reply. " Well...I... Madame" She said between small coughs "Are you coming on to me? I'll have you know this relationship is strictly professional. Please do not try that again." Her cheeks flushed red in a mixture of anger and embarrassment but her burgundy fur hid it quite well. She chewed down a couple more bites of steak before trying to talk again. And yes, Madame, this steak is quite rare. It is a delicacy among the upper class. Anyways, didn't I just ask you kindly not to comment on other people's food? It could be perceived as quite rude."

Rosalinna smiled and laughed as she heard what Valkyrie said. She nodded her head that sounded true but she still felt bad that the girl had felt as if she had to wait to eat. "Still you shouldn't have made yourself so hungry I feel really bad about that." She watched as the woman cut into her steak and seemed to be really happy with the flavor. She wondered what it tasted like. She was curious as to if it tasted better since it seemed like Val liked it so much. She was shocked when she heard the coughing and choking sounds in response to what she had said. She didn't see it was that odd or surprising but now she was even more worried about Val. She sat there and watched as she waited to see if she should rush over and try to help Val out. Since it seemed she was chocking on her bite of steak. She was even more worried when the eyes began to water. She looked back into the shocked look at Val's expression she was very confused and didn't understand what was going on. She sighed and frowned when she heard the madame comment.
She would need to somehow teach Val to not call her Madame or anything like that. She laughed as Val finally asked the question and explained why she was chocking. "I don't understand what you mean? I didn't try anything. I was only being honest since you are adorable. Am I not allowed to speak the truth?" She frowned very very confused. She saw a weird expression on Val's face and wondered why she was looking like that. She shrugged again and stood up. She felt back for making her cough and choke so she did what her mother had once done for her when she was chocking. She patted Val on the back and looked at her. It was a bit of a forceful pat but nothing that would be painful or too hard. "I only said that it was very rare. I was curious if there was some special reason for it being that rare. Does it taste better? And I am not trying to be rude I can't help it if you did something adorable." She grinned and nuzzled Val's cheek innocently and sweetly then sat back down in her chair and ate her steak. It was really good and made her happy.

Valkyrie was midway through chewing on a new bite of her steak when Rosalinna stood up. Next thing she knew she was being hit in the back and she once again began choking before spitting out the bite she had in her mouth. Before she could say anything the bold, unsophisticated female nuzzled her face, causing her to flush red with anger. This was NOT okay. This girl was a princess, and a horribly obnoxious one at that. Rosalinna. This is unacceptable. I am NOT interested, and I am only here to train you to grow up and finally act the way you should. I am not "adorable" and don't appreciate the physical contact. I'm done here for tonight. She stormed upstairs to her room, ordering the butler to show Rosalinna to her quarters once she was done eating. She was ready to quit, and if this girl kept coming on to her she very well might throw her out of the house.

Rosalinna blinked as she heard the chocking start up again and she felt terrible. She watched as the meet was spit out and she had nuzzled her to apologize for causing her more discomfort. She saw the rage flash over Val's face and she was really confused. She was shocked when she heard what val had to say. She hadn't been trying to come onto Val she had only been trying to be kind and apologize. "I wasn't coming onto you Valkyrie. So your interest or lack of an interest is not important to me." She frowned but didn't argue anymore since she really did think that Val was really cute and adorable. She wasn't sure what she had done to cause this woman to freakout and then storm out. She looked down at her food and finished eating it since it would be very rude to not eat the food that had been made. She finished the food and then walked out into the garden where she found a tree to curl up under. She didn't want to be trapped in doors unable to see the night sky over head. She always was used to staying outside so she wasn't sure she would be able to sleep at all inside. She climbed up into the tree and curled up on a branch then looked out at the stars and the moon. It made her feel better.

That night Valkyrie dreamed.
She usually didn't dream much, except for when she was stressed out or didn't get enough blood for the evening. It must have been a combination of both. She dreamed of a fancy ball in mansion with a granite ballroom. She dreamed she was in her finest suit, and that she met a fair maiden with the most beautiful silk gown, satin masquerade mask, and green beads around her neck. They danced all night, feelings of romance swelling from Valkyrie's soul, until the two were swaying slowly to the sounds of the violins. They kissed as they said goodbye, the maiden lifting her mask to reveal her face and to Val's dreaming delight it was...ROSALINNA?!?!
Valkyrie woke with a start, tearing the fluffy sheets off her body with terror. She hyperventalated for a few moments before wiping the sweat from her fur. It was only a dream. It was only a dream. The princess had invaded even her unconscious mind. She stared at herself frantically in the mirror before chocking it up to her mind throwing together random bits and pieces of the day. Madame Rosalinna, the rude princess, was a part of life now. This was just her stressed-out, blood-deprived mind's way of processing it.
She got dressed, pulled herself together, and went downstairs. She didn't see her ungrateful house guest anywhere, even though she had instructed the butler to have her ready for lessons by this time. Roalinna? Madame? Where are you? She called, echoing down the halls.

Rosalinna looked up at the stares and wrapped her tail around herself as she curled up. The moon and stars seemed to be so magical and hold a mystery she wished she knew the answer to. She rested her head on her paws and closed her eyes. Letting sleep wash over her as the moon shone high in the sky. In her sleep she dreamed of her mother. Of the song her mother used to sing to her when she couldn't sleep or felt upset. The music wrapped around her and filled her with love. She missed her mother so much and being able to hear that song made her so sad and also so happy. She wished her mother was still alive and could teach her all of this. But no her mother was dead had been for some time so there was no way that wish would ever come true. But at least she had the music when she slept and in her memories. Her mother had the most beautiful voice ever and this song was the best of them all. It always would make Rosalinna feel better no matter what had happened earlier.
She woke up with the sun and heard a strange sound. She realized she was making the sound and felt wetness on her cheeks. It took her a few minutes to realize she had been crying. To understand that that was why she was making those sounds and why her face was all wet. She took slow deep breaths to calm herself down and began to sing her mother's song very softly. She climbed down from her branch and stretched as she watched the sunrise. It was so pretty she always loved to watch it rise. She wiped at her face to try and get rid of any evidence that she had been crying. No need to show that to anyone here they would all just think her ungrateful or something else stupid like that. She wasn't ungrateful but neither had she asked for any of this to happen to her. She sighed and fluffed her fur up getting ready to go back inside where it was all stuffy and formal. She really didn't like formal things they just made her feel so claustrophobic and out of control.
She slowly walked back to the door and didn't realize her eyes were red from crying. Rosalinna stepped into the mansion and looked around the place. Getting a good look at all of the things in here. Her ear twitched as she heard her name called. Just her name but then sighed as Madame was added at the end. She hated that. It echoed so Val was kind of far away. She figured it would be best to let the woman know where she was not wanting to give her a heart attack. "I'm in here." She didn't know where here was but figured Val could figure it out.

Valkyrie jumped at the sound of Rosalinna. She had been calling for her...but hadn't expected the princess to reply. She had been terribly afraid that the girl had run off, though it might have been a relief if she had. The lady was proving to be quite a challenge for the aristocrat. She knew it was only day two of their assigned time together, but she was already weary of the princess.
It appeared that the sound came from the first floor ballroom, so she strolled down the hall and found the girl standing bleary-eyed in the middle of dance floor. Whats wrong Madame? Do you happen to have allergies? Shall I close the windows to keep the pollen out? Your eyes are quite red. A woman of such noble status can't walk around looking like that. She scoffed at how unkempt the girl looked. It was a shame to nobility, really. Pull yourself together. We have much work to do today.

Rosalinna looked around at the room she was in. It looked like a ballroom of some kind she had only really read about these in books. Though she had a vague memory of fancy grand rooms. But it was very vague. She sat there and waited for Val to show up and she figured the other girl would yell at her for being late or something like that. She sighed and got herself ready for that. It was something she was just going to have to deal with while she lived with this uppity person. But for now she would stay here and deal with it there was no where else she could really go. She was just going to have to stay here and tough it out. Maybe she could loosen the other up and maybe even have some fun here. And then there were the things she had to learn even if she didn't want to. But she would try but there would be somethings she knew she wouldn't learn especially if she thought it was pointless.
She heard Val as the woman walked into the room and she watched her stroll along. She looked at the other and waited for what would happen. She was startled by what Val said. She frowned as her red eyes were brought up. She rubbed at them no this wasn't because of allergies it was because she had been crying so much. "No I don't have allergies. You don't need to close a window this has nothing to do with allergies." She heard the scoff and closed her eyes for a few minutes she was still far too emotional after that dream and there was no way she would break down into tears in front of Val. The other one would probably yell at her for crying in front of others so she focussed and forced herself to calm down "Then lets start with the work we have. I'll be fine no need for you to worry about me."
