Two sets of parents ruining his life. And oh, oh, he was sharing. Her expression lit up with satisfaction. It was entirely inappropriate, given what he'd just told her. "I see. And that's why you're a little spitfire, huh? Well, that's sad. For them, I mean. Not for me." Her smile returned in full force. "Because I like you just the way you are." She actually hopped off of her desk, and opened it. Was she trying to be helpful? Looking for the report? "Are you always the errand boy for late reports? Or do I have to request you specifically like a pizza boy?" She pulled out a piece of paper, and swiveled to stand up beside him, eye to eye. The folded paper was held between two fingers, which she flipped up cheekily to hand to him. "I like extra sausage. Can you deliver?"

She was simply evil.
Otto seemed to shudder in repulsion. Every breath she took, step she took, and look she gave. It repulsed him. It made him angry. He didn't answer her little queries, grabbing the paper from her loose grip with a seething glare.
"Don't be gross." He growled, taking a look at the....
blank piece of paper.
He shook, his grip on the sheet crumpling it with an audible crunch. "Stop. ******** with me."

Oh, good. He was opening it. She'd actually considered the possibility that he might have taken her word for it, and walked out with a blank piece of paper, to hand over to the administration. That would have probably been unfortunate - but he did not disappoint her. So she watched and waited, her eyes half-lidding as he crumpled up the paper. He looked so angry - she wanted to take a picture. "You're really cute when your head looks like it's about to pop off." She practically sing-songed, holding her hands behind her back and rocking on her heels.

He briefly wondered if it would be such a bad idea to murder this woman.
His mouth twisted, his whole body trying to reel itself back from tearing her and the room apart in rage. His hands clenched, fingernails digging into his palms. He was at his whits end. "What can I do to make you give me the real report?" He asked carefully through gritted teeth.

Maebe sucked in a sharp breath when she felt his rage wash over her. She held it, her lips parting in jaw-dropping delight when he asked her what he could do to make her comply. He was leaving it in her hands, and that meant she had a wish coming. "Ohhh." Her mind flooded with too many ideas at once. She backed away, and hopped back up on her desk, holding her chin cupped in both of her hands. "Oh, gosh. Can I have a minute to decide? Is there a list of can'ts? Are you allergic to leather?" She was just so excited!

Otto suddenly buried his face in his hands and groaned in response to her reaction. There was no proper answer he could give her. The list of don'ts was too great.
"I hate you." The world really did punish him for working hard. He was just trying to do a good job. And failing.
Again.

"Wha? Why? No? No!" Otto huffed angrily, swatting over the closest object that happened to be nearby. "What is WRONG with you?!"

"A lot of things." She piped up in a voice that sounded a little too peppy to be admitting she was broken. "But that's neither here nor there. We're talking about you." She leaned forward, and pulled a piece of paper out from where she was sitting - where she'd always been sitting, when she was on the desk. The main reason he couldn't find anything, from the beginning. A crisp, beautifully written mission report. "I'll give it to you." She offered, holding it just out of reach. "But, I want something in return. No leather. I promise." She used one finger to signal him to come closer.

He was done. He was ready to rip that door off it's hinges and give up. She lifted another paper, which he half expected to have a scrawl of 'sucker' written across it. However, it seemed to be a legitimate report.
Otto calmed down, just slightly.
Carefully, he stepped closer. Slow, careful steps. "What is it?"

She uncrossed her legs, sat flat on the table, and signalled him again. "Closer."

Otto grimaced.
Warning bells went off in his head, screaming that whatever she had planned couldn't possibly be worth the trouble. Let Gale handle it, they pleaded. But like ******** he'd let Gale get all the glory of a successful job done. Let him scrub a toilet or something.
If it went south and he didn't get it, then he'd make Gale do it.
He stepped closer again.

She waited until Otto came close enough to touch the desk, before she handed him the paper, without touching him. Her mischievous, predatorial gaze fell into something a lot less fun. "Do you know anything about the Hunters with the O on their hands? The bad ones?"

There was a God.
"Not much." He replied, a little relieved. "I saw their leader, and watched him shoot a hunter in the head. They seemed like they were trying to bring Deus back to the glory days or something. They kill a lot of hunters that aren't one of them and pin their bodies up around the island."
His gaze flicked to the paper. "Anything specific you were hoping to know? The chic that knew more than I do is dead, so..." He shrugged, grabbing for the paper.

Maebe's expression flared with interest. "They have a leader? What are they, like, some kind of cult? Who is the leader?" She wasn't surprised to hear he was the kind of person to shoot someone in the head, seeing as one of them had definitely tried to kill her. She licked her lips and listened as Otto spilled what he knew. "Where are these bodies? I've never gone out to see one. What were the glory days like anyway? Was Deus - I mean, was it like it was in the dream?" Her face crunched up in disgust. That world had been a sickeningly sugar sweet version of what they dealt with today. She'd actually prefer to keep thins the way they were now. She had so many questions. They were crawling out of her, trying to scratch their way to the surface. She struggled to keep from overwhelming her new best friend.
