"I hear that pays quite well. My host was a prostitute, not the same I realise but she used to work in a club." Cosine replied with a half smirk then raised an eyebrow as he thought it appropriate to start taking items of clothing off. "Did you get wet? Would you like me to have Zeta run you a bath? I'm sure I can find some clothes that would fit you." They had enough inhabitants in the apartment.
Zeta appeared carrying a tray of hot drinks and cookies. She set it down and stepped back.
"Thank you Zeta." Cosine smiled.

"It does, it also makes it difficult to find employment else where." He scrunched up the garters and set them aside. He paused, looking up at Cosine. "A bath would be nice, but it is mostly that fishnets are uncomfortable." He rolled his neck back, relaxing and blinked at Zeta. "Thank you," he added. Kisten smiled, reaching up to undo the ribbons holding the black sleeves to his fishnet shirt. "If it wouldn't be too much trouble, pull the lacing on the back of my shirt?" Then he was going to shimmer into his tunic, pants, and leg warmers. Slightly sweaty, but more comfortable and warmer.

Cosine was a bit taken aback b his next question. Really? Not even so much as 'please'. She thought to herself, did some people have no manners. "If you wish to change I will have Zeta show you to a room." She smirked a little. "I'd rather you did not strip off in my living room. It's not really appropriate behaviour." He tone was even and kind, she wasn't angry, just a little bemused.

Kisten blinked, having reached to loosen the sleeves on his shirt. Strip? Ehh, he still had his thong on, and besides the sleeves and heels everything else was rather revealing fishnet. Like trying to cover skin in tissue paper. He gave a sharp tug, the sleeve finally sagging and covering his hand like a wave of black silk. "Sorry, sort of treating you like Mari... not like she would ever mind." And now he rather missed his fellow dancer, sharp and achy and if this was real he might not see her again. If it wasn't, he was likely dead and ugh. He tugged the ribbon, watching it slither from the loops and detached the dark sleeve, carefully folding it away.

Cosine was quite amused by this mortal. He was interesting, quite unlike the others she had met. Though the most recent had been Alva and she was from a world without technology, every little thing had been mind blowing to her. "You are quite casual for someone in the presence of a goddess." The smirk was still there on her lips, her eyebrow raised once again in a look of wry amusement. "There are some here who would take great offence to that. You're lucky I'm a soft touch. Zeta, could you run Kisten a hot bath in one of the guest rooms." She turned back to Kisten. "Mari is your friend?"

"Co-woker, ex, friend." He tugged and wiggled his other sleeve off before moving to take a mug. He no longer had to worry about fabric in the beverage. Kisten lifted his cup and slowly slipped, lids slipping to half mast as the warmth filled his throat and stomach. Very, very, good.

"Ahhh." She replied, complicated. She could understand that a little, though in a life long forgotten. Kisten seemed to be enjoying the tea at any rate. "Zeta sources the best leaves from the market, there are some excellent tea merchants." There were excellent merchants of every kind.

Kisten focused on his tea, enjoying the warmth and crisp taste of leave and slight mellow tang of honey. He looked down, swirling the dregs, watching the loose bits clump and shift. "Have you ever had a tea leaf reading? A friend of a friend did one for me once." Pushy, with a fluff of curling white hair and mismatching friends and he was getting nearly maudlin ugh. "Sorry." He set the tea cup to the side and began to rummage through his bag, pulling out the loose pants and white leg warmers and shimmied into the garments. Comfortable and warm.

"It's fine." She replied he was going to do it anyway, clearly. At the mention of reading tea leaves she smiled. "No, I haven't. Have you had your cards read?" She asked in return, little did he know he was speaking to a divination goddess. Perhaps she should introduce him to Caelia if he was interested in that kind of thing. "Their numbers can tell you a lot about yourself and your journey."

"Lex does mainly I ching coin divination and tarot cards. He just read my tea leaves for free, since he was learning." Kisten grinned, cheekily. "I didn't mind, he was hot." They had almost dated but Lex had more commitment issues then an alley cat. A handsome, quick spoken, smooth tongue, impa.. lets not go there. "Anyhow, never had my cards read. Lex was more Mari's friend, and most of my friends are more interested in fashion and make-up brands."

Kisten's reply would amuse her. "The things we do for lust." She mused, holding her palm up, flat she called her cards to her, they appeared in her hand, a stack of intricately painted and colourful Tarot cards. "Would you like me to read your cards?" She asked, her eyebrow raised in a challenge of sorts.

"Relationships, lust, wistfulness. The urge not to be alone, it is a lot of things, collected in physical attractiveness... usually." Kisten paused and smiled, brightly. "I would like that, if it wouldn't be to much trouble." He wiggled and tucked his hands behind his back, working on loosing the lacing of the shirt.

Cosine nodded in agreement. "I have been lucky, my husband and I have been together a long time." Maybe a blink in the eyes of immortals but really, they had been through a lot, to hell and back almost literally. "He travels, so I am alone quite often, aside form the children of course." Though soon they would be gone too. She shifted to the edge of the seat and turned to face him. "Shuffle the cards." She said, holding the deck out.

Kisten stopped pulling the laces and reached to carefully take the deck. "Congratulations," he offered, and slowly broke the deck in half and then quarters, before shuffling each smaller stack and combining the deck once again. He rapped his knuckle against the top card, a slight call for luck before offering it back to Cosine.

Cosine took the deck from him and held it in her hands for a moment, calling the numbers to her. She took the top three cards and placed them face down on the low coffee table. "This one is the past or the way you have been existing." She turned it and placed it face up on the table. "Ah, interesting, the eight of cups." it depicted a figure stood by a lake, cloaked with a stick, almost holding it for support. "I think you're in a rutt, or, well i know as you've almost told me. You want to be something more but you are stagnant, drifting through life perhaps?" She reached for the second and flipped it. "The now." She smiled a little, they were looking at 0, the fool. "Not quite what it says on the tin. Zero is a powerful number just as the Fool is a powerful card."
