Lol I kinda agree with the "halfass roleplays" label d:.
I think those would be pretty useless for two out of three of my characters, though. They're not usually talkative types hahaha.
oh yeah. there's no doubt in my mind that lazy writing. ;P but that doesn't mean it's bad necessarily. this is a short little sample of one I did with a friend of mine over skype.
Chance: (me) *as an unprepossessing young man with short brown hair, brown eyes, and freckles, he hangs by his knees from one of the branches of Nix's tree/home. munches on an apple, humming a bit as he absent-mindedly looks in one of the windows*
Nix: (my friend) .. - w-; *opens the window* Can I help you?
Chance: *looks around, as if wondering if she were talking to him* Oh. Don't mind me. I'm just hanging around. *sways a bit, and waggles his eyebrows at his play on words*
Nix: Ha ha very funny. -_-; Get down from there before you break your neck.
Chance: Aww. *sets a hand on his chest* That almost sounds as if you're concerned for me.
Nix: If I wasn't concerned then I would tell you to swing around some more. Now get down ><;
Chance: *continues lightly swaying* You know the chances of me actually getting injured are almost nonexistent, right?
Nix: GET DOWN! ><
Chance: Touchy! Touchy! *clicks his tongue* Fine, I'll get down. *pulls himself into an upright, sitting position on the branch. he then gets to his feet, and hops across the small gap to the window. standing crouched on the window sill, he makes a shooing motion at Nix.* Come on, let me in.
Nix: *crosses her arms* This is my house. -_-; You need to learn the word please.
Chance: *makes a show of rolling his eyes* Puh-leeze, may I come in?
Nix: -w-; .. Next time saying more maturely.. *steps back*
Chance: *steps inside with a s**t-eating grin plastered firmly on his face* Just be happy I said it at all. *softly tweaks her nose*
Nix: *slaps his hand away* Just be happy I don't throw you out. D<
So... Yeah. Chance is a chatty little butt but the character doesn't HAVE to be a talker to do it that way. I could prbly find an example with a less talkative character of mine if you wanted... Or not. If you don't want to see more I won't force it on ya.
