Maa-nefer ||
It seemed that once the misunderstanding and the actual proposal and response were all straightened Maa-nefer was right back to her usual self- ah, no, not quite accurate. She was actually considerably more... well, her, if anything. Her eyes lit up and she broke out into a bright smile at his offer, thrilled with the idea of getting to celebrate by meeting the other creatures that made up his kingdom so far. That pleasure was obvious just by her body language.
"That's a wonderful idea! I love it."
Just to emphasize the point, or just because she felt like it, or both, really, Maa-nefer moved in close to rub her head under Sion's chin. It wasn't that different from months ago when they'd last met, but the contact lasted a little longer and was accompanied by a soft and brief rumble.

It felt like a load fell off his shoulders, leaving him feeling light as a feather. Then there it was, the warm loving presence under his chin and close to his heart. A part of him trembled. The last kind touch came from one whom he had loved...and lost. An open wound in his heart, a weak spot. Not this time around. This time he was stronger, older, wiser. He was willing to risk a weak spot because now he was able to guard and protect the source of it.
Rumbling quietly, he closed his eyes. "Welcome to our beginning, love."
