"I'm sorry you all had to go through that." She said, genuinely she did not like to see anyone in pain, least of all family. Though she could see that Echo had gotten over the worst of it and her words confirmed it. No love, nothing. Valyrmora wondered, for the first time how she felt about him ... she could only remember being angry with him, shutting herself away in her part of the realm. Now it was all hers. "Yes, I've heard a little about Akakios and Nergal. Ankou is terrified his children will end up hating him too ... I keep trying to tell him that he is trying and that is the most important thing." She shrugged a little. "I hope Akakios will not keep his back turned on the Underworld, Lament may be for the living but, like Funeral it has it's effect on the dead. I'd also like to get to know him, and you of course. I know Ankou and Cosine speak very highly of you."

"He needs to learn to let go, eventually." Akakios was holding on to things, but in a much different way than she had. "And hopefully one day he will be able to."
That was what Echo wanted above all, for her sons and daughter to be happy. Sadly that was still an upward climb in so many ways.

"I am sure he will, we have a long time to reflect on things, a very long time." She looked up at the sky and smiled, she would enjoy days like this one whilst she could. There would be a lot of work to be done in the underworld. "Do you come here to play often?" She asked more casually.

"I try to play somewhere outside every day." It was something she had to get into the habit of doing again. "Not always here. I shapeshift and go to the market sometimes. The people here often get too intimidated to join me, if I do not."
And it was a shame when they did not. She loved when others performed her art with her. Every bard, every musician, every singer brought a part of themselves into it, something no other living soul could bring to it. And then it became a part of her, too.

"I do like the music of Mortals." Valyrmora admitted to the goddess. Of course she enjoyed the music of the goddess, she was music after all and it was second to no one. It made her feel so serene, though perhaps that was Alva rather than her. "I remember it, well the mortals and the dead too, they have their voices, at least they did in my realm. You can imagine, a hall of feasts, filled with the greatest warriors the mortal realms had known, a dream team of an army, singing their songs of glory." She smirked a little. "Not very elegant but still, I miss it. Child spirits enjoy a good song too, as I am sure you know."

Oh, she could imagine alright, and that was indeed an amusing thought. "It does not always need to be elegant, as long as it serves it purpose." If it brought them together and inspired them, well, what more could one ask ?
"Yes, I do know this much." Not that she had ever truly seen it for herself, though she had felt it.

Val gave a happy sigh. "I look forward to being back there, to hearing those songs again." She smiled. "I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be the goddess of something as uplifting as music, to bring so much joy to so many. Death is such a difficult subject for mortals, taboo and frightening. I suppose that is why Akakios and Isidore are so important, they bridge that gap."

"Yes, it is good that they are here." Echo agreed. They all worked together in one way or another, even if not directly so.
"Well... I still end up intimidating a fair bit of people." Even if she certainly did not mean to. It came with the territory, it seemed, and that much was harder to avoid than a simple matter of what each of them ruled. "I have to shapeshift and hide myself to get most of them to play alongside with me. They would never dare to, otherwise. And it certainly is not what I want."

"Heh, yes, that I can imagine." Val replied. "I've notice others do that too. Cosine does it frequently when she is out and about. I suppose it makes life easier." She could equally imagine that there were those who would not be so empathetic to mortals, those who enjoyed causing a stir, was she one of them? "I imagine there are those that had begun to give up their belief in gods, I imagine you have to win them over gradually."

"Yes, sometimes it is nearly a necessity. Can you imagine Ankou in the crowded market ?" So many wings... And the man certainly had a presence, though at the same time he seemed skilled at being unnoticed and blending in. As far as Music was concerned, it was a strange paradox, and something she had not quite mastered, herself.
"Yes, that is indeed true. The further you go from here, the harder it can be." Everyone this close to the pantheon was usually fully aware of gods and at least acknowledged their presence.

"Yes, that I can well imagine." None of them had an easy task set out for them, to reach so many. "My host is from far away and they were just about clinging onto their beliefs, though they were more stories than true faith. But still something to build on I suppose." If people had hints of faith deep down there then there was at least something to work with. "I'm glad I came across you today." She declared with a smile.

"Yes, it is better than nothing." Echo could only agree - after all, they had almost lost it all. They had come so close to that... But thankfully it had not come to pass.
"So am I." She inclined her head forward in a nod and smiled. "Would you like to go for some tea, perhaps ?"

Val smiled at the offer of tea. They did seem to drink a lot of tea around the Pantheon. "That sounds like a good plan." She smirked, getting to her feet and offering her hand to Echo. "Shall we?"
