There was a hand still on his back, and Al was smiling at him. Noah wondered briefly if that meant that Al hadn't minded, or if Al's dream had been different. He had no idea how to ask, because if Al's dream had been different, and he said what had happened and Al thought it was weird or creepy, then he'd ... he had no idea what he'd do. "You don't?" he squeaked.

Al shook his head, finally retracting the hand to grab his other hand and rest both in his lap. "Nope! Ehh... um... but. I do have a question."

Noah propped himself up on his elbows, looking down at Al's hands, then back up to his face. "W-what is it?"

Inside he was grinning from ear to ear, sharp teeth exposed. Outside however was another picture entirely. He looked calm, curious, and somehow... worried? "Was it good?"

Noah sputtered. He sat up and grabbed his pillow, swinging it at Al.

Al took a face-full of pillow with a loud sputter and obvious flail, "That bad?!"

"You - you know it wasn't," Noah squeaked out, and whacked Al again. "That's for making me think you didn't know what I meant! Asshat."

"Ahh stop hitting me! I don't have anything to defend myself!" He flailed further and much more exaggeratedly. His hair was left swooped in the direction the last pillow had hit him in. "Aw c'mon, I had to be sure it wasn't just me!"

Noah stopped and hugged the pillow. That was fair enough, he guessed. He hadn't wanted to give any details without having a good idea of whether it had been the same dream either. He wrinkled his nose at Al anyway, and grumbled, "Asshat," again.
He tucked one foot up underneath himself and bit his lip. "What -- what do we do now?"

"Am not," Al huffed right back irritably. He watched Noah half-expecting another swing but one that did not come.
His thoughts began to ramble while the hunter appeared to just be a bit thoughtful. On one hand this could work. Sorta. It was hard to really say. He could not let Rep feel that his dominance was being challenged under any circumstances but at the same time, this couldn't be allowed to mean that he would be alone forever, never to even try the idea of having his own partner - <'Ey!>
Not weapon partner, Nuru, human partner. The weapon was semi-satisfied with this answer and curled right back up, feigning sleep but ever present in this trying time for his scareling.
Al's thoughts resumed exploring the question Noah had put forth. Frankly, Al really did not know the answer. He needed help from someone smarter. Help - sorry Noah - he was not going to find here.
"I don't know. I mean. I remember so much, it's hard to like.. eh," he played with the hair on the back of his head. "I can't exactly forget."

Noah ducked his head and stared down at the pillow, his cheeks burning again. "I just remember the party, not, not before it," he offered, "but ... yeah." For better or worse, the dream had been shared, and they both had memories that hadn't been there before. He sneaked a glance up at Al again, his eyes resting briefly on his friend's mouth before he looked away again hurriedly.

"Same," Al offered helpfully. He just barely caught a glimpse of Noah's stare and then sudden shyness. "What's wrong?" One of his eyebrows lowered while the other shot up. What was he looking at? Nuru was super helpful this morning.
Al's own eyes began to wander a bit... only they settled a bit further downward. Just a bit. And stayed there.

"Nothing's wrong ... " Al was looking at him. What was he supposed to do now?
Lazarus woke up enough to make a helpful suggestion.
Noah squeaked. Then he very deliberately unwrapped the chain from his wrist, leaned over, dropped the totem into the drawer in his nightstand, and closed it firmly.

Al looked confused at the noise and even more baffled as Noah abruptly removed Laz and then sentenced him to drawer. "Wh- what was that for?" Al's gaze was broken from Noah to glance at where Laz was and then back and forth between the two. As if he didn't know already what Laz likely said. Or just the gist really. He did after all have his own male canine dead thing to deal with, being helpful.
