Cartwright was trapped under the ladder and it's about to feel a lot worse as Salem leaps over the ropes lands on top of the ladder with his leg drop, crushing Cartwright under the weight of him and the ladder combined! The crowd woops for Salem's fancy leap!

Salem's landing was cushioned by Cartwright's helpless body lying under the frame of the ladder, but it was likely Salem's weight was not as great of a comfort to the ailing champion. Bouncing up to his feet, Salem slapped hands with a member of his 'Croftorage' at ringside before turning around, looking to pick the ladder up and slam it back down onto Cartwright!

Crofterage?! Ew! Like what even is that?! Is that a thing?! It can't be a thing! That name has no swag! But that doesn't matter as Salem very kindly lifts the ladder off of Cartwright.....only to slam it back down on to him! How rude! Cartwright rolls on to his front following the strike as he tries to protect is delicious face.

"Salem! Salem! Salem!"
The crowd chanted the challenger's name, backing the worked-up warrior as his quarry crawled away. Approaching with the ladder in hand, the M.W. Deuce would growl - tossing it up horizontally above Cartwright's spine while doing a brief airwalk whilst it fell...trying to crack the back of his heel into the ladder, into his opponent with a flashy Scissor Kick!

Cartwright seems to be perfectly placed for another fun time collision with the ladder, but as Salem launches himself Cartwright's way, the swag master drops to the floor! Leaving Salem with nothing but the ladder to get caught on!

(I think you might've misunderstood what I was trying. I was tossing the ladder horizontally into the air, above your back. Kicking it down into you as it fell. I don't think laying flat would prevent what I intended from happening.) In efforts to evade Salem's scissor kick, the Swagtastic One dropped flat to the floor, likely trying to make himself a smaller target. But gravity was a cruel enemy, and as the challenger's heel struck the falling ladder, it would spurn the metal to plummet harder, faster, into the spine of the now-prone champion!

(Lol. My bad, I thought you were crawling away so I was tossing it up overtop you and kicking it back down. My bad, I should've elaborated more on such an unorthodox attack.) The ladder bounced off Cartwright's back, the sound of impact sparking another cheer from the audience who had been enjoying the beating their disillusioned champion was receiving. But Salem had other plans as he tried jabbing his toe into Cart's ribs, hoping to knock the wind from him before snatching the ladder back up and tossing it back in the ring!

((Ah well no probs man! We keep on rollin' rollin' rollin'!)) Salem's kick to Cartwright sends him...yeah we'll carry on....rolling off the ladder! cool Cartwright's took a bit of a beating tonight, much to everyone elses delight! Salem is so strong, he throws the ladder over the top rope and into the ring from outside it! Whowa!

(Haha. Yep, yep! biggrin ) The ladder clattered against the canvas, Salem slipping underneath the bottom rope following his parting shot to Cartwright's ribs. The lad wasted no time trying to stand the ladder up, spreading the legs and locking them in place to prepare a trip towards the title!

Cartwright was hurting, he knew what Salem was attempting to do, he would be daft not to! He slowly began to crawl towards the ring on all fours, as his body was sore from the beating he just took!

Step by step, the returning rookie ascended the ladder, getting a bird's eye view of the arena as he was just feet beneath the coveted Asylum Championship. Many fans were on their feet, cheering Croft on as he started to reach the last leg of his journey, taking his eyes momentarily off the prize to look back towards the floor at his fallen adversary!

#OMGOMGOMG!!! Salem is climbing the ladder at a rapid pace! Cartwright makes his way to the ring and urgently rolls himself in under the bottom rope as quickly as he can! The crowd tries to warn Salem, who has become aware that the Champion is approaching!

A dilemma. Scamper up the ladder and try to grab the title now, or make an effort to intercept Cartwright before the champion could interfere. Though he couldn't poll the audience, their raucous cries said enough about what they thought - so, steeling his spirit, Salem would leap off the ladder towards the ropes Cart had rolled under...looking to convert his fall into rebounding energy by bouncing off the second rope, back into the air for a Lionsault aimed at his opponent!

((Lionsault I presume from the description rather than the submission!)) Salem showcase his athleticism as as jumps off the ladder and flips off the second rope! Cartwright continues to roll, placing himself under the ladder!
