"It does," she agreed, falling a bit somber once more. Disease in his pride, floods in hers. Thankfully it wasn't something that would happen every season. Indeed, this one had been something of a freak accident. She let out a slow breath as the larger feline wrapped an arm around her, his large paw on her shoulder to draw her close. Her tail flicked in happiness, snuggling against his warmth.
"I'm quite glad it did as well," she said, looking up at him with a tiny smile. "The gods always have a plan for things like this, after all. It seems to me we were meant to meet for a reason." Although what reason that was escaped her for the moment, and soon she was too occupied with other activities to worry about what the gods could possibly have wanted to transpire. If they did indeed want anything to transpire at all. Perhaps this, like the storm, was just a chance. A good chance, in her book, one that she would certainly never forget.
