Zoro runs around the Inner District wondering where the Captain and Lieutenant are of the Military Police. The Lieutenant isn't too fond of the Inner District finding it to be a pain to enter for it's mostly filled up with pompous a*sholes. Zoro walks up to a lady asking if she's seen the well known Captain and she points in a direction that Lieutenant Bakuro runs in. Zoro catches the two entering a restaurant and grins where he stands. Are they on.....a date? So much with my chances with Amelia. Zoro casually walks up to them and salutes. The salute doesn't last too long as the loud mouth decides to speak. "I don't mean to interrupt your guys' special outing, but, I have a message from the Captain of the Scouting Legion and me," he says holding up the letter. Letter:
To the Captain Tosatsu and Lieutenant Wright:
As head of the Survey Corps, both me and my lieutenant would like to offer up a...little challenge so to say. A bet is a better word to describe it. We recently had trouble with one of your own. One of your soldiers entered the Scouting Legion Headquarters and instantly showed no sign of respect for the higher ranked officers. She also began stirring up trouble with the trainees as well as went through some private profiles that she should not have looked at. We are getting a little tired of Military Police soldiers who treat us like this and would like to show all of the soldiers of the Military Police what we do. On our next expedition outside the walls we would like to have you, as well as other Military Police soldiers, to come join us and see what we do. We do not wish for anyone to die but we're stronger in numbers and hypothesize that there will be more success in numbers. Now, if you accept the bet is this: if you and your forces are able to maintain composure outside the walls, the entire Scouting Legion force shall clean the Military Police headquarters and shall be the servants of the Military Police for the day. But, if a single member of the Military Police chickens out, the Military Police will have to clean the Scouting Legion headquarters and be the servants of the Scouting Legion for a day. We do hope you accept. You do not need to accept if you do not want to. We understand if the Military Police is not ready to face Titans. If you do accept, we'll make sure to keep you all safe.

Yukiko scratched his head as he thought of how to answer Lacie's question. He already knew it was going to come but wasn't sure how to answer without seeming suspicious. He was going to be honest about it, but he knew with the Military Police member there, that it'd be near impossible for him to not seem suspicious. "I was just trying to get away from Wall Rose for a bit. I like to take walks but I always seem to get sidetracked by other members of my division. The only other alternative was Wall Sina, where it's kind of unlikely to run into a Survey Corps member. So, I got a ride on a carriage and just strolled right in without any fuse. So, here I am..." He said, laughing awkwardly after finishing. He wasn't sure if they'd buy his story, but he was being as truthful as he possibly could.
Lacie couldn't help but laugh a little at Yukiko's explanation,"And as soon as you got here you crushed an innocent girl's dream of buying an expensive pendant." She joked, grin on her face. She then turned back to the other soldier, the one in the Military Police,"Hey, we still don't know your name sir! You might've heard this earlier, but my name is Lacie and he's Yukiko. And you?" She asked, after introducing herself and the Survey Corps soldier. The white haired man didn't really seem to be too talkative, but Lacie still wanted to hear him speak again. Something about hearing his voice from so much higher than she was was strangely cool to the teenage girl.

Just as Musei was about to answer her question, a man made his way over to them. Musei had heard of him, known as Lieutenant Zoro. He nodded his head to the man as he gave him a salute, but his once pleasant demeanor with Amelia was now replaced with the cold, stern look he bore before hand. As the man held out the letter, he took it calmly from the man and opened it, reading its contents. Studying everything for a good minute, then re-reading it, a light smile came to his lips, before he placed the letter face-down onto the table.
"Who was this soldier that was out there? I will be disciplining them. As for your... 'bet'... I'm afraid I have to ask you something." he spoke calmly, before shooting a cold glare to the man. "Do you and your Captain find playing with the lives of people to be some kind of game? Some cruel, sick fantasy that you've both wanted to play out since you were younger? We are here to serve humanity, and all three corps have different roles. Your role is to find information about the titans that can help out in our efforts to combat them, not to have a pissing contest with other corps because you think you're better because you kill Titans on a frequent basis. You lose a good portion of your soldiers each and everytime you step out, yet your letter talks as if you could fight them blindfolded. I will punish this person, but I will not accept such a life-risking wager, for both sides. We are here to protect and serve humanity, not see who can piss longer and further. Do I make myself clear, Lieutenant Bakuro?" Musei barked his final question loudly, staring at the man cold in the eyes.
"You are dismissed, you can get out of my sights now." he left it at that, tossing the note aside and turning to look to the opposite side, thinking exactly why they would propose such a pointless contest.

As soon as Lieutenant Zoro approached their table, Amelia felt whatever good mood she was in fade away slightly. It wasn't as if she disliked the man particularly; she only really knew him as the flirtatious Lieutenant of the Survey Corps. Any past interaction with him had probably been nothing but pleasant, albeit a little uncomfortable on Amelia's end, but Zoro had still interrupted the conversation she was having with Musei. Right when she was about to learn something that was surely important.
And by the look on Musei's eyes and the tone of his voice, Zoro must've interrupted them with something stupid as well. Her commander had tossed the letter aside before Amelia had the chance to read it, but she could easily guess what had been written in it based off Musei's reaction. A bet had been proposed; probably one that involved the Military Police going out on the next expedition to somehow prove that the Survey Corps was the superior military branch. Musei's reaction had been almost identical to the one she would have given him had she read the letter first, perhaps even a bit more subdued. If that letter said what she was sure it did, it made her want to scream. This was the kind of recklessness she hated.
Pinching the bridge of her nose and shutting her eyes, Amelia let out a little sigh,"Disgusting." She muttered quietly in an angry sounding voice. It was then that she noticed a waitress was standing a few feet away, and Amelia quickly waved her over, completely ignoring Zoro now,"We'll have two grilled cheese and tomato soups please. I'll have a water."She ordered, regaining the polite tone she usually spoke with, and then turned back to Musei,"What do you want to drink?"She asked, her eyes still narrowed slightly. She hadn't bothered asking what he wanted to eat, hopefully he had been serious earlier when he said he's eat anything that tasted good in front of him.
The Lieutenant smirks at Musei's response to the bet. "Playing with the lives of people, eh? So that's what we're doing," says Zoro as if he has just discovered something rather intriguing. "Typical response of a Military Police soldier. Eh, you can say anything you wish. Reckless. Careless. Sick. Unorganized. Arrogant. Whatever it may be. Sure, we lose a good amount of soldiers against the titans every time we leave but I don't see you all going out and trying to help us out. Nope, instead I see you all resting behind Wall Sina guarding the King while he sits on his arse all day in luxury while everyone on the outer walls struggle and making such comments, such negative comments about the troops that go out to try to gain information to one day allow Humanity to venture outside the walls." A smile creeps onto Zoro's face as he begins walking around the two. "I don't believe this is life-risking Captain. I do believe it would be life risking without a plan and a line of backups to anticipate anything that could happen. In all due respect, isn't the Military Corps supposed to be filled with the top ten graduates of each training class? Then, why do they sit back and relax while the rest go save everyone? Where were the Military Police when Wall Maria went down? All I saw was the Garrison and Survey Corps handling it while Military Police stay behind the last wall with the King. Zoro turns towards the door and begins walking but before he leaves he turns his head to the side. "Acting like we're better than you...Tch! In courage and strength we are. Good day Captain and farewell Lieutenant. Enjoy your day. Oh! Before I forget, your soldier, whom acts so strangely similar to all of you, is a young green haired soldier. Enjoy your meal," he says in a casual manner as he waves them good bye. Zoro walks back to his horse and looks back at the restaurant. "Pompous little pr**ks is more like it," he comments with a grin as he rides back to the headquarters. {exits}
As the man left, Musei couldn't help but chuckle lightly, shaking his head. "I'll have to have him written up for that. Regardless of who he thinks he is, he's below me, and I will not have him speaking in such a tone with me. I apologize for this, ma'am, I'll have a water as well." Musei calmly addressed the waitress, the smile back on his face that had left him earlier. Looking out the window as the man left the area, he let a small sigh escape his lips. "I believe I know who he is talking about. I'll have to take some time out of my way later today to deal with her." he looked back towards his lieutenant, smiling all the while.
"There was an incident with the wall that exposed what appeared to be the face of a Titan. Currently Survey Corps are investigating the incident, but that is all even I am able to know about it." he looked at his lieutenant all the while as he explained to her what had happened, before taking a long breath and letting it out. "Things are not how we see them, so it seems. The world around us is a lot more complicated than we are led to believe some days..." a light chuckle escaped his lips, as he shook his head slightly.

Amelia glanced over at Zoro as he left the restaurant, a small frown on her face. She was unimpressed by the little rant he'd given them after Musei's response to the letter. In one fell swoop, Zoro had completely erased any and all positive thoughts she had about him. Still, that didn't really matter now; there were more important things to think about.
At first, Amelia was sure she had misheard Musei. Titans in the wall? In the wall that was supposed to keep them out? Surely it was impossible. As soon as Amelia met the commanders eyes however, she knew he was being serious. Which only worried her more. There was one small detail that Amelia didn't quite understand, and that was the Survey Corps investigation of the Wall Titan. "What an amazing group." She said, voice heavy with sarcasm,"They're in charge of investigating something that could very well be humanity's undoing, and they still find the time to send their Lieutenant over with a childish bet. Absolutely astounding."
It was then that the waitress returned to their table with two waters in hand. Amelia gave a small 'thank you' before leaning against the booth and brushing her bangs back, trying to collect her thoughts. She had so many questions, but if that was all Musei knew about the wall titan, then she wouldn't get any answers from him. But there were still things worth discussing. She returned her gaze to him, eyes sharp and alert,"Do you think they'll be able to keep the titan subdued? And... do you think there could be more in the wall?" She asked, lowing her voice slightly.
Letting a small frown move on his lips, Musei shook his head somewhat. "Regardless of what kind of a group and what they stand for, the Scouting Legion is helping Humanity in its own way. Do not allow this meeting with their Lieutenant to be negative. Let him retreat, go about saying whatever he wants to say about the Military Police, because in the end of the day he is lucky I didn't put his face into the floor and arrest him for speaking like that to a superior. I can speak to him with disrespect because I am a Captain, he is not. He's going to learn his place in due time, though. I'll be filing a report for the Captain of the Survey Corps, informing him to keep his Lieutenant in check." Musei seemed to be getting somewhat worked up, but slowly calmed down and took a sip of the water that was brought out for him.
"From what I know the Titan isn't active. It could be possible that it is cemented there, or it could be dead for all we know. The point is, it's of no threat to us at this current point in time. If the need arise and it does become a concern, I will have everyone prepared to combat it. Thus the training exercises tomorrow morning. If all of the Military Police are not well-prepared for this, then at least I will be to fight back anything that tries to stop Humanity's last hope." he let out a long sigh, before chuckling lightly and shaking his head. "I apologize, Lieutenant. It's only your first real day and I've already bombarded you with this information and with both of the incidents earlier..." his voice trailed off, before he shook his head. "The meal will be on me, so if what ordered doesn't fill you, feel free to have more of whatever you please." he calmly stated, smiling warmly. This woman was someone he had to get close with, but was he rushing things too quickly? It felt as if he was, since the way Musei acted was normally quite distant to the world. With him having a partner such as her, he felt somewhat different, and more sociable than what he would have been normally.

Amelia let out a little sigh at Musei's words,"I'm sorry sir, I spoke without thinking." She said quietly after he spoke, tracing her fingers over the condensation on the water glass as she took his words in. While she was happy to hear that there was no immediate threat, the fact that so much remained unknown made her uncomfortable. Almost completely powerless. Still, the Military Police was doing all it could to prepare itself to the potential threat.
"Actually, I'd like to thank you for telling me all this now. I rather know about things like this earlier than later." She replied, giving him a small smile,"As for the two incidents today, you're hardly to blame for them. Plus, they made my first day as Lieutenant quite memorable,"she added with a goodnatured laugh.
It was strange; before she had become the Lieutenant, Amelia knew Musei best through the words of the other soldiers. While they all definitely had great respect for the man, they sometimes described him as being rather distant and a bit cold. And yet here he was, buying her a meal and speaking rather warmly to her. It struck her as rather odd, but before she could put anymore thought into it, their food arrived. Two pairs of silverware, two large bowls of steaming tomato soup and perfectly grilled sandwiches were now in front of them,"I doubt I'll be needing anything else after this." She said happily, placing her napkin in her lap and taking a bite out of her sandwich. The food in the inner district was one of her favorite parts of it, and grilled cheese was one of her many food related weaknesses.
As he heard her laugh, he couldn't help but chuckle along with her, knowing that she was being genuine about the situations. As their food was brought out, he gave a quick nod to the waitress, a simple sign of a thank you, before picking up one of the pieces of grilled cheese and dipping it into the tomato soup, then taking a small bite from it. Musei didn't say much during the meal, he just quietly ate away at the grilled cheese sandwich first, before moving on to the tomato soup. After a moment had passed, he decided to try and break the ice and get to know a little bit more about the woman, feeling it was best to find out as much as he could from her.
"So, do you have any siblings?" a simple question, but one that could lead into a conversation regardless of the outcome of the answer.

Amelia nodded her head after Musei asked his question,"I have a younger sister, Lacie, who lives here in the Inner District. She's my only family."She answered, pausing to take a sip of water,"She's seventeen, nine years younger than I am, but we're still very close."She added, setting the glass down. Once again Musei was acting a bit differently then she had expected him to after hearing other soldiers talking about him. Amelia didn't really mind thought; in fact she found Musei quite pleasant to be around.
"What about you sir? If you don't mind me asking that is." It only seemed fair to Amelia that she got to know a little bit about the commander as well, even if he was a superior officer. Still, perhaps family hadn't been the best thing to talk about, considering how much of the population was in the military and how high the mortality rate was in... certain branches. Family was more often than not a rather sticky subject.
When she began to tell him about her sister, he nodded his head slightly in a response to what she was saying. As he noted her commenting about being nine years younger than her, he couldn't help but chuckle lightly. "I'll be honest, I did not realize you were that much older. You don't look to be twenty six at all." he pointed out, taking another spoonful of tomato soup. When she asked if he had any siblings, it got him thinking for a second, before he shook his head, swallowing the mouthful that he had.
"No, I don't. At one point I wanted to have a brother or a sister in my life, but with my parents both being apart of the Scouting Legion, they wouldn't have had the time to raise another child, so they didn't consider it." Musei seemed casual with how he said it, shrugging his shoulders as he looked away from the woman that he was dining with for the moment. If they had a child, they may not have went that day, and they may not have died. It was something Musei wondered in the past what could have been; would he have become Captain of the Military Police, or would he have followed in his parents footsteps and joined the Scouting Corps with them? "I don't regret my choice." he muttered under his breath, somewhat absent-minded, as he pulled himself back into the reality of the world around him.

Kazuki Yamato
These past few months have been great for Kazuki. He accomplished his goal in joining the survey corps. This was a milestone for Kazuki, not only did he accomplish a goal, but it was a goal that got him one step closer into making his life have meaning. And for the record reaching it wasn't a walk in the park. Kazuki was now walking down the street of the inner gate with great confidence wearing his survey corps uniform with pride and dignity, and his walk presented it so. He met eyes with some of the people, reached deep down into himself and then wore the biggest smirk on his face. Some people snickered at Kazuki, they knew that he was a fresh one. Nobody who was in the survey corps could ever be that happy. In fact most people wouldn't be able to recall a time in which the survey corps had a completely successful mission. Although this made Kazuki feel uneasy and embarrassed to a certain degree. Should he really be excited for a commitment that would be considered a death wish? This thought continued to race through his mind as he continued to walk through the streets but not as proud as he was a few moments ago.
As he was walking he came across a jewelry store which caught his attention. Not because he personally liked jewelry, but because his little sister loved it and he thought that now would be a perfect time to get her some since her birthday was right around the corner. Kazuki walked into the store and started to look around, but unfortunately he didn't know what she'd like. "Why does there have to be so many choices?" Kazuki said under his breath as he continued to look through the rows of necklaces, earrings, and all sorts of other things that the average girl would adore to have. After about ten minutes he let out a sigh, a signal of defeat. "Man what am I doing here" Kazuki said as he turned around and saw three people. One was a man wearing a police uniform. He had white hair a wore a face of dissatisfaction or boredom. And across from him were two people, maybe a couple? One had long brown hair gentle eyes that seemed gray from this distance. And the other had blue hair, but he noticed that he was wearing the same uniform as he was along with the same emblem which meant that he was from the same branch. "Maybe they can help!" Kazuki thought as he walked towards the three and then stood next the one with the white hair."Hey sorry to interrupt the conversation, I'm Kazuki Yamato a member of the survey corps, and I can see that you are a member as well." Kazuki said referring the last remark to Yukiko. When he finished the sentence he couldn't help but smile.

It seemed like Musei had sort of gone off in his little world after answering Amelia's question about family,'Perhaps I should have brought up something different,' she thought after the man muttered something to himself and seemed to bring himself back. She hadn't caught exactly what he said, but suspected it wasn't for her ears anyways. While she was curious about what he said, she knew it was probably better not to push for answers.
"...It must have been tough, growing up like that, both your parents in the military. My father was in the Scouting Legion as well when I was a child. But well..." She trailed off, her voice still gentle."You know, when you asked earlier if I ever thought I would make it this far I wasn't completely honest in answering you." She admitted sheepishly, her gaze focused the rest of the tomato soup in her bowl,"As a trainee I always thought I would join the Scouting Legion so that I could avenge my father. But things happened and my personal vendetta against the Titans became less important."
After saying all this to the Commander, Amelia couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed,"I'm sorry for saying that all at once. I hope I didn't bore you or make you feel uncomfortable in anyway."She added hastily, looking up at him.
