"Ah, your right. I wouldn't want you to accidentally set off the explosives," he laughed but was dead serious about it. He began packing everything back into the bag and looked over to see the kitten crawling around on the bed like a little creepy fur ball. "Hmmm..." He shook his head knowing to keep his comments to himself so he turned and left though he stood outside in the hall looking left to right for a moment before glancing at the guest room door. He walked in and looked around spotting all the odd items that no longer existed in his time. He disregarded it however and simply crawled onto the bed to sleep it off. However, he also still doubted this was all really happening. So, he shut his eyes and tried to sleep because maybe he was in some kind of coma and soon he'd wake up to find himself back in his wretched world.
After tossing and turning for a moment she finally fell asleep thinking this was all kind of a hallucination.

Zack couldn't help but raise a brow at the tone the male used, making it sound light and funny if it were to happen...and yet he couldn't help but wonder what kind of person he had invited into his home. He watched the man with liquid gold eyes as he left the room, picking up the kitten as it tried to curl up on his pillow "No- not there" He murmured gently, walking over to his door to close it before he switched off the lights and curled up on his bed, the kitten eventually settling down in the crook of his neck.
SKIP TO MORNING~
Zachariah awoke a little earlier than normal, climbing out of his bed carefully as to not disturb the sleeping kitten as a wide yawn pulled from his lips.He left his room still in the clothing he had wore yesterday but he hadn't felt like changing the night before. He simply made his way to the bathroom, letting the water run in the shower for a moment to clear away the dirt that covered the floor. once it was gone he kicked the door closed and proceeded to step into the shower- taking his time to bathe, not really feeling like dealing with his guest just yet.

It had been such a long time since Hadrian had a good night sleep. Usually he got up to four hours of sleep but his body was used to it so it was why he was able to work very efficiently with that low amount of rest. But knowing at the moment that there was nothing to worry about, he had let himself sleep a lot longer. It was only the sound of water running that woke him up but it was a good thing he awoke considering the nightmare he was having. It took him a moment to realize where he was but it did confirm that he had not been hallucinating. There was still a chance he was in a coma so he wouldn't rule that out just yet. Or just dead.
He got out of bed but didn't bother putting his shirt back on as he simply sat on the floor with his back pressed against the bed while he began sharpening his swords. It was just what he did every morning, a habit that would be very hard to break. There was also the fact that he should go hunting for food unless Zack already had a nice stock of food in his home.
The only sound that came from the guest room was the odd sound of him sharpening his swords.

After Zacks shower he returned to his room to pull on a pair of sweat pants before he decided to investigate the sounds coming from the guest room. He plopped his towel on the top of his head, not really bothering to dry his golden locks as he walked down the hall, knocked once, then pulled the door open. His brows darted up at the sight of the weaponry "Put that stuff away. Jeez- You wont need it here" He muttered, sighing heavily as he closed the door behind him. "You're lucky my parents have day jobs and are away most of the time. one you put those away come up stairs, I'll make breakfast." He muttered, opening the door once more to slip out of the room and make his way up the stairs.
Once up stairs he set to making the two of them bacon eggs and hash browns for breakfast- though at the last moment he decided to cut up some fruit for the two of them- including some berries for the two of them as well. He had a feeling that Hadrian wasn't accustomed to fresh foods.... not like this at least. He grabbed a can of whipped cream from the fridge as well- his own guilty pleasure to say the least- before he dished out their food.
"Foods done!" He called as he set the plates down and plopped down in a chair- not really bothering to wait for the other male as he took a bite out of his toast, content with his early morning meal.

"So you say. Just because it's a hundred years in the past doesn't mean bad things don't happen. Better safe than sorry right?" He finished sharpening his sword and put them away in his pocket as he headed upstairs and simply followed the smell of the delicious food. Walking into the kitchen he put on his shirt and spotted Zack already eating so he joined him as he sat at the able looking at the food available. "Well...this looks pretty. Not sure what most of this is but it all smells delicious." He then started to eat and of course he ate with his hands.
"Pretty good. What kind of innerds is this?" He asked as he pointed at the eggs since he had never eaten eggs his whole life. In his time, chickens procreated in a different manner, so eggs no longer existed. That being said he figured this was some form of organ or just something that came from the insides of some animal, hence why he asked.

Zachariah lifted his gaze from his plate when the male sat down, raising a brow at the question posed. Was he actually asking him what an egg was? honestly that sounded.....extremely silly. "They're not.. technically innards as you put it.. It's an egg. Chickens lay them and chicks are born from them, Except these eggs are refrigerated and well- the chick never has time to actually grow." He stated, picking up a strawberry with his fork and grabbing the whipped cream with his other hand so he could spray some on the berry.
He then looked over at Hadrian and held up the can "Want some?" He added, popping his fork in his mouth, quite happy about the whipped cream melting on his tongue. "It's good" He added, a slight purr to his words to emphasize how...much he enjoyed it. After swallowing his berry and licking his lips he rolled his shoulders back. "We need to get you some normal looking clothing. And..Well, I'll show you around a bit and... uh- how things work around here. First off....we don't go out hunting for food, you're in a big city."

"Hmmmm that sounds weird but I kinda give up on trying to figure out things in this period. I realized while filing my blades that if I fight it then I won't figure out what I'm doing here. So, I'll need your help since you found me and you don't think I'm crazy after telling you I'm more than 100 years old. With that said. You may teach me your ways and I will follow but I ask that you help me out. My world....this world turned into a world no bodies wants to live in. First, may I have a map?"
He then grabbed the fork and tried to use it since he just stated that he would try to learn the ways of the people presently. Hadrian stabbed one of the strawberries and held it out waiting for Zack to put whip cream on it since he would give it a try.

Zack sprayed some of the whip cream on the males fork, trying to hide his grin of amusement at the males obvious inability to use a fork properly. "We'll have to buy one. Depends on what kind you want. World map, map of the united states, a map of new york- Take your pick." He stated as he continued to eat his breakfast. He took the whip cream and coated his fruit in it before placing the canister on the table once more. "Anyways umm..Hadrian. You don't particularly look like your over the age of...let's sat twenty-five. anyways. You say your from the future basically, and that things are...well not going too well. Mind explaining what exactly is happening? I'd love to know. Maybe I can even help" He stated, leaning back in his chair as he munched on a piece of an apple.
"I'm...what one would call a star student. Pretty much only in University to kill time" He stated, shrugging his shoulders lightly. Yes, he was a bit of a genius. "Ah, more whip cream?" He voiced, nodding his head at the can.

"Well alright, only because I feel that I'm here for a reason and for some reason I ended up with someone who doesn't think I'm crazy.Rather than guessing you might be insane, I'll take my chances and see this is fate of sorts," Hadrian replied as he ate some more fruit while holding the fruit out for him to put whip cream on it.
"Now, where to begin...where oh where to begin..." he mumbled as he leaned back and thought about how he would go about this and how he could explain it even though it was somewhat simple idea. "Alright first of all my world is a desolate place. There are no buildings or homes...hardly any grass and trees. Nights are longer...as if the universe knows how dark our lands have become. After the out break of a virus, the world flipped upside down. Animals as you know it became....will become dangerous and nothing but beasts. Some we can eat...but some are too toxic to eat. It's the reason why I mentioned rat meat. It's one of the few things we can eat...meat related. By day animals look normal, the cute ones...cute as ever. But once the sunset, everything changes. So since I told you, darkness last longer than the day in the future. We have about four to five hours of daylight. That's what's going on.
So I was thinking that maybe I was brought here to fix things. Who knows," He sighed heavily, rubbing his neck while finishing up his food. "So with that in mind I would like all the maps you brought up."

Zack complied in piling some more whip cream on the males fruit "Hey, for all I know I'm the insane one. It's easier to believe whats in front of my eyes anyways." He stated nonchalant, whilst tilting the nozzle of the whip cream over his mouth, tilting his head back to spray some in his mouth before placing it down, swallowing contently- yet, definitely a guilty pleasure of his. "So basically you're telling me that a virus is going to spread, mutate animals, and cause the Apocalypse as a result. I can't really seeing that happening any time soon- but then again something like that would take a long time to....create so perhaps this 'virus' your speaking of is already being worked on." He stated, slouching in his chair a bit, his lips pursing slightly as his golden orbs glossed over for a moment as he retreated to his own mind.
'A virus, I could probably dig up some information... If I had any idea about who was conducting experiments, if they've even started... Although changing the future could be catastrophic- also - it could very well be impossible. I mean this could be a loop already. it's possible this guy came here in the far future and didn't succeed.... Who knows.' he pondered silently, before he lifted his gaze once again, returning his thoughts to the outside world. "I just have to say that Rat meat sounds absolutely vulgar." he stated simply, before he pushed himself up to lean forwards against the table.
"Maybe you are supposed to fix things, maybe not. But I'll help you. It sounds interesting anyways." He purred contently, using the table to push himself up as he cleared there dishes once Hadrian was done. "I'll get you something else to wear. You're going to stand out like a sore thumb." He stated as he put the plates in the dishwasher before he retreated to his parents room where he grabbed a pair of dark wash jeans and a black T-shirt for the male from his fathers drawer. He had a feeling they would be a closer fit- everything Zachariah owned would be too tight on the male. He returned to the kitchen and threw the clothes at the male lightly, figuring he'd catch it. "Put those on. You won't need all those maps... That would be silly. But we can get you a world map and I'll show you around New York for a bit.. I have the weekend off. So you have impeccable timing in you're arrival." He added, making his way back downstairs to change himself. When he finished he went back up stairs to slip his shoes on and waited for the man.

"Pretty much. And again I thank you for helping though it will probably take a while. As for the maps I would still like all three. Considering how the maps look I have reason to believe that the land masses are different. I just want to make sure so on and so forth." Once he got the clothes he stood up and while Zack left he just changed where he was as he put his boots back on and folded his clothes, leaving it on the counter.
Hadrian looked at the male and nodded, "Well lets go. I guess it's best you show me the places where there are labs that work on any sort of experiments of any kind. Oh and is there anything that contains data base where I can look for anyone with the last name Haile? If so I'd like to see if I have any ancestors living here or somewhere in the world."

Golden eyes landed on the male as he spoke to him, requesting all the maps. Really there was no point and Zack would likely show him how to use a computer later as well- it was a bit more convenient. "We'll go to the gas station and grab some maps. If you see anything while we are out that's affordable and you want it- let me know" He added, kind of relaxed about money. He had quite a bit of it and didn't really have anything but whip cream to spend it on at this point. The whole experimentation thing could be a problem though- and he wasn't really sure how to go about it. Technically most large companies were experimenting with something- be it pharmaceutical companies, cosmetics, food... there was a vast amount of them to say the least.
"It will be difficult to get a list of companies. Especially because I don't know what we're looking for. If it's a virus maybe companies dealing with medicine... But it's hard to say" He stated as he left the house, making sure Hadrian followed along. "As for the last name, we can check it on my computer later. It's easy to get access to. But if you're looking for someone - you should be careful. I mean, if you are from the future then one mistake could end up making it so you never existed" He explained, shrugging his shoulders slightly as they walked. When the came across the gas station he went inside and proceeded to grab a bunch of maps, as well as a few energy drinks to take home. "Anything you want?" He asked, almost forgetting to acknowledge the other man as he placed the items on the counter- ignoring the female clerk as she eyed to two of them, who were probably a feast for the eyes.
