Relationships

Sephiroth (father) [x]: Cole has had limited contact with his father. His father's single wing and lack of flight convinced Cole that he too would never be able to fly.

Vale (mother) [x]: Cole has had limited contact with his mother. From her he gained a deep appreciation of the musical arts, though he has very little talent himself.

Plots

Cole meets and befriends another soq.
They find a pair of owlets abandoned in the woods and decide to raise them together, one each.
They keep in close contact so that the siblings will be close.
One day Cole is off with his friend's familiar owl as well as his own and has the misfortune of becoming cursed. As his friend's familiar is the closest creature he kills it and uses it as a pelt. His own owl flees in terror.
Cole returns to his friend disguised as her familiar owl. He tells her the terrifying story of how Cole was cursed and slayed his own owl. He shows her the bloody mess in the forest as proof.
Cole's owl tries to warn her but she buys Cole's lie and aids Cole in chasing him away before he can reveal the truth.
Cole torments his old friend at every turn, letting her have hope only long enough to dash it. To her face he plays a friend and a manipulator. She can only trust him, he is the only one who will protect her, who cares for her.
She cracks from the abuse and in a moment of weakness allows Cole's old familiar to get close, expecting it to be her old friend back to finish her off.
She is so distressed to learn the truth that she lures him to the place where Cole was cursed, seeking a curse for herself, planning on using him as her own pelt...

((obviously, this will be a long plot and there are no guarantees that any of it will go as outlined here.))
