Lady Aria Starstone Chroma flew for a good while, then landed, and waited for Jase to catch up as he had gotten a bit ahead. He wasn't sure how long this was going to take, but it seemed a good plan to meet up every few hours.

Jase kept true to his promise right up until the sun began to sink below the horizon and Chroma descended from the sky to meet up with him at the chosen camp site.
"We're going in the right direction? For sure?"

Lady Aria Starstone He nodded his head. "Yes, Jase, we're heading in the right diection. Are you alright?" He settles down into a position of rest, his head tilted. "Or did I miss something that indicates I've gotten my directions off?

"Hmm? Yeah, yeah, just fine. It's just, something about settling down for the evening really drives home just how long this is going to take..."

Lady Aria Starstone He sighed a little, trying not to think of Star, and nods. "The downside to traveling, yes, is it can take a long time." He sighed a touch wistfully, and ran a hoof in the dirt.

He leaned up against a nearby tree, looking this time up at the sky where Chroma had descended from.
"If only I had wings as well... I wouldn't be holding you back every day."

Lady Aria Starstone Chroma blinked at Jase, and tilts his head. "You're not, we're working on this together. After all, what if I miss something on the ground because I'm flying high?"

He sighed, "Anything that would be useful would be easier to find once we reach the mountain. Now isn't the season for seeds and one solitary plant won't do us any good."

Lady Aria Starstone "Well... I guess. I just thought it might be good to learn but all right." He blinked, unsure what to say to Jase, who seemed really depressed over this. Or at least that's how Chroma read it.

He looked over at the larger stallion, "One night and I'm already ready to go home. Do you think you could make it to the mountain on your own, Chroma?"

Lady Aria Starstone Chroma sighed and nodded. "I... can but I was enjoying your company, Jase. It's not as enjoyable to travel alone." He'd done so much of it already.

"I'm so sorry. It's just, I'll never forgive myself if I leave Auden behind and something happens to him. When we set out I thought it would be possible, hard, but possible to swallow the fear. But I tell you now it's not going to happen."

Lady Aria Starstone Chroma lowered his head and sighed softly. "All right... I will go on. Once I find it, I will come back for you, and Auden." He thought on Stargazer, for a moment, and firmed his resolve. Aurianna had taken him in, he would be safer there then with Chroma, hunting for a home.
