ok yes in some ways I agree, and others I dont. First off, they wouldn't sell out to x-box, I see games for all three systems out. So I think they should. I own an xbox because I'm an idiot and asked for that 2 years ago instead of ps2, but I play alot. (cousins house) Now FABLE DID RUIN MY XBOX TOO. I recommend using a cd reader cleaner or w/e, it helps alot. but you have to use it quite often. now I want final fantasy to come out for xbox for the reason that it is the best game/series ever (FF7 yay) and I dont have anything beyond my ps... at least i got ff7, ff8 and tactics XD. all I'm saying is they went to gamecube.... why not xbox... and I think xbox has more than enough good games, but ps2 is all around better, although I rather own both because they both have good games (and Gamecube only for PSO XD)

I own an Xbox..... I didn't pay for it.... and I now know of someone who USED to have an Xbox.... but as an "Xbox owner" I can honestly say that the people that play Xbox online are complete and total assholes. Seriously 95% of them are people that I would commit bloody murders against if I met them. And as an FFXI player I would say that the game has enough San d'Orians... er.. I mean... assholes as it is. So we don't need the Halo community to join in too.

I just thought of a pretty somewhat valid point on why it would be a really bad thing for Xbox users to start playing FFXI.
Most Xbox gamers are upper class to upper middle class older guys. They don't game often but they still throw away their money on the Xbox just to say they have all that s**t.
The point I make is this: These 'gamers' won't take the time to farm.... they don't care that much, nor would they ever care enough to spend the time doing it... thus the problem is born. They would fuel the destruction of the economy of FFXI by sinking more and more money into gilsellers... which would go right back into their pockets when they by the overpriced items that are being sold by the gilsellers to make that gil. I think it's a bad idea for Xbox to get FFXI especially since it's gonna be on the 360... or so I hear.
EDIT: After reading all the past comments I've come back to ask the question that's been on my mind this time.
Now as you all know... or should know.... ninja SE has helped and also led in the creation and development of the PS3. Yes... they did most of the work but it's still sony's system. Now I don't understand why they would give FFXI over to their leading rival if they do in fact support the PS3 so much. I'm just wondering... is this just a rumor... and if not why are they doing this?

I've been following the Development Closely....and apparently Microsoft had drawn in Extra Attention when the Advent Children Project Information was released, They offered SQUARE-ENIX to host Final Fantasy XI on the X-Box as...((If I remember correctly)) They had said that almost all of the Players on XI had a X-Box....and that the X-Box would be powerful enough to be able to handle all of Final Fantasy XI's Game Play, Rendering, Character, Battle, Menu Systems....and so they did a large amount of "Flogging" off X-Box ((And I think)) They also had some SQUARE-ENIX staff members' try out Halo 2 and stuff to get SQUARE-ENIX to Budge.....and it's possible they had paid SQUARE-ENIX a few Million to have XI on X-Box....anyways I believe that one of the Director's did say: "We have decided on releasing Final Fantasy XI on X-Box as an attempt at a New Trial" , So Basically.....if Final Fantasy XI doesn't sell well ((Which I hope)) SQUARE-ENIX may never do X-Box Games Again! I hope this has helped!

FFXI is the most addicting of them all and if Square wants to give it's piece to Microsoft then let them...besides i made 20 mil in gil for switching to the X-box servers, it made me profit but i have to deal with too many newbs

I would hate to see the x-box get a FF game even though it wouldnt kill me. I just hope if they give x-box a FF game the playstation 2 or 3 gets it too.

my first thought to this topic was, "what the **** are they thinking, of course XBox USERS deserve FFXI. perhaps Microsoft doesn't deserve it, but the gamers do. besides, Xbox360 is far superior to PS2, so it'll be great. if i didn't already have it on PC, i'd probably get it on 360...
besides, get used to it. after FFXII, xbox gets all FF games as well

Quite frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if they jumped over on the Microsoft bandwagon for a little while. I would be pissed, but I wouldn't be surprised. Originally, the franchise belonged to Nintendo, and they were going to reap the benefits off of Final Fantasy VII. Then, at the last minute, they jumped ship and headed for Sony. Why wouldn't they ditch Sony for Microsoft, just like they ditched Nintendo for Sony?
Microsoft has dipped their little toe into every single little part of technology it can get it's hands on. Bill Gates and his empire of a company would jump at the chance to get a multi-million dollar franchise on his side. Final Fantasy XI online is just the beginning. Give Final Fantasy a few more years. After Final Fantasy 14 or 15, if Microsoft plays it's cards right, and is more successful than Sony in its next-generation console, Final Fantasy will be plucked from Sony's grasp, and they won't even get a taste of the franchise for years to come after that.
By that time, Nintendo will be damn near bankrupt, Sony will be heading the way of the dinosaurs (because of Microsoft's treachery) and Microsoft will be left with yet another monopoly (which is actualy illegal in the States.) Microsoft should burn. I am going to celebrate when that b*****d Bill Gates, dies.

It's totally *COUGH*DUMBASS*COUGHGAG* I mean the people are using their Fingers as "guns"..... stare Also the PS2 Came out before X-Box did ((If I'm remembering Correctly...)), Final Fantasy is still a PlayStation Icon, X-Box 360 should only be getting XI and XI's Expansion Packs, SQUARE-ENIX is to busy preparing themselves for PS3....anyways have any of you ever looked at a X-Box 360's Disc Coding?! It's HELL ON A DISC, PS2 is an easier format to write up/in, Anyways I hope SQUARE-ENIX won't spend to much time running laps around Bill Gates' crappy Cement Block System......and will get back to what they normally do, And many don't know....Over One Hundred people have attempted to convert me to X-Box...I've tried playing a X-Box 1-2 Times, I am highly advanced EXCEPT: X-Box *COUGH*STOLE*COUGHGAG* The Infra-Red Controller Idea from the PS2s'......and not to mention the Control Systems are still terrible, the Controller is a frigging Brick.....and you don't want to drop a X-Box on your foot EVER!!!!!!! So yeah....I'm pissed off.....and nope I'm not taking any of this back as "I H-A-T-E X-B-O-X!!!", I also say....X-Boxers' should stay with their Precious Halo, Fable Games....and not try to ruin a fantastic game called FINAL FANTASY. actually, yes, i have seen that ad. i thought it was really clever, although cheesy, yes. do you remember the first PS2 ad? it was like a jump into the future and it showed the PS1k or something like that as a little glowing sphere, and that was basically the whole commercial...and then PS2 ended up being much less than the hype made it out to be (don't get me wrong, i still love my FF games and a few others)
Xbox outshined the PS2 in every way but the games after they started making smaller controllers for it, and they fixed that completely with the 360. btw, the xbox360 controllers aren't infrared, and Sony wasn't the first ones to think of infrared controls either...TV's and stuff have used those for ages.
i hate microsoft with a passion, and i'd be running linux right now if i knew all the programs i had would still run on it. i've got 2 versions of it sitting in my drawer right now. but, xbox (especially the 360) is marvelous!
and what did the comment about the coding have to do with anything!!?? it's called encryption...you don't put the straight source code on a disc, that'd be idiotic. chances are the games are programmed with primarily C++ just like everything else.

Anyways I mentioned the Coding/Programming as a couple of people & Myself were skimming through our Discs on some Computers with a couple of programs....and we were going througha Fable Disc....and we all had Major headachs from reading the Coding/Programming...not all of the Coding was the same C++ Coding...I think we were going fairly well as none of us have studied Programming/Coding of the Data etc. I was also meaning the Wireless Controllers that were used for PS2, Remember? And no matter how many times people talk about their X-Box....I will not listen no matter what, Anyways EVERYONE in this Town ((Where I live))owns a PS2....and uh....those who have X-Box....uh let's just say some of the only people that have a X-Box ((1,2 or 360)) Are the the people of the age of 40+, Cooma has an average population of around 2000 People.....and yeah....there's a few PS2 Fans here. Anyways I don't care about X-Box...simply I hate it, I've found all of the Commercials' Idiotic....And I do remember the first PS2 Commercial...and I know it wasn't the exact same BUT: Most of that is being fixed up with the PS3 which should be coming out rather soon....anyways I'm at a friend's house, Her brother has a few X-Boxes and he can play them...but he doesn't have a clue on a PS2....I had Five Minutes to spare....and I easily beat his huge smirk of his face before laughing my head off at him! My friend Ella is now teasing her brother because he: Ella, My Friend Hahahaha! You're Crappy Box was CUT BY YUNI!!!! Hahaha! you're such a loser Matt...oh yeah gonna cuddle your Box? So um yeah.....I just hate it....oh and when I get mad I don't always use the "Correct" Word so for the Game Coding I was meaning Programming and the Coding of the Paths for the Characters' etc..... I Simple Hate & Will Never Have a Space In My Heart Nor Mind For X-Box....so yeah...I blank out the good remarks about X-Box so often....it's rather pointless to talk about this anymore. I know I sound rude but I am really really Angry!
