Zia's edging panic was not exactly helped when she looked at Camelot for assistance and instead of seeing his warm smile or hearing his assuring words, somehow all her brain registered was the fact that he looked like he was going to keel over.
"Oh god, do you need help getting home? Should I call a cab? Maybe you should power down, conserve your energy?"
Which was a silly suggestion, since she was regretting not powering up for this whole event. She wondered what auras and sensations had swarmed through the air that she had been blind to. A missed opportunity she would have to rectify later.
And then Nicky-- or rather Whisler's question drew it's own brand of concern.
"No, not really. You can't uh... you can't be Nicolae anymore..."
Wait, there was no short, sweet way to explain that. Whoops.
"I mean! It's really complicated. How much do you remember of the last year?" Great, she completely mindwarped the busboy. Noah was going to kill her. So in light of all this pain and life altering loss, she made a conscious effort not to comment on how 'Whisler' was just a downright hilarious knight title. Such great effort.

Camelot nodded his head and powered down, taking a slow breath and looking at the new knight thoughtfully. He had never considered this part of it, not really. He knew it would happen, of course, memory loss, as he had seen it before. But he had never really considered how to help with it after the fact.
It was certainly a night for learning experiences.
"Whisler, yes. Whisler, Squire of Polaris." He nodded his head, looking at Zia as she tried to help her friend, who she knew better than Camelot did. And Tony had never met his civilian identity before tonight, though it was still sad to see him now struggling to understand the new situation he was in. Tony would help as best as he could.
"There is a lot that you're going to need to have explained to you..." He imagined it would be best to take things slowly, and he hoped Zia would be able to handle that kind of tact. He knew her to be... a little over enthusiastic in some regards, but she was loving and she obviously cared deeply about her friends. If he was in Whisler's position, he would want Zia in his corner.

Whisler blinked, then frowned, looking at Zia as though she had grown an extra head. Finally he let out a slightly nervous laugh. “I don’t understand. What do you mean I can’t be Nicolae anymore…that’s who I am.” His words fell flat as he tried to think about her question, thinking hard about the last year. Things had been…they had been fine. He had worked and done stuff and…
And it almost seemed as though something was missing. Like there were other things he did that he just couldn’t…just couldn’t think of what they were.
The squire huffed, crossing his arms over his chest and sighed. “I don’t know what’s going on, but I think you have a lot of things to explain to me, Zia.”
He looked back at Camelot and blinked, eyes widening as the man changed into someone else before his eyes. “What the ******** is that? What did you just…?” What was going on? Seriously? How did he go from being one person to an entirely different one in about a minute?
“Zia, seriously, what the ******** is going on?”
He was starting to feel a little worried now.

"Y-you, um," Zia had to pause and swallow and fiddle with her hands a little before giving him a nervous smile.
She thought his purification had been a little haphazard, but she hadn't expected having to deal with him forgetting he was purified in the first place, or forgetting about the differences between knights and negas.
"You're powered up too, you need to power down otherwise people will feel your aura," She said in a stilted tone that said she knew he was probably going to regard that with as much informative justice as someone reading him a car manual in a foreign language.
"See, you're all powered up in your... knight... form."
She looked at Tony, visibly distressed and confused and worried.
"Maybe you both need to just go home and get some rest..." Except how would Nicolae go home? Maybe she could just take him to Noah's. Noah knew Nicolae better than her , he could figure it out as soon as he was done yelling at her.
