"Ayu-NO! WAIT!" Unfortunately, Ayumi freed herself from Jisaku's grip and stormed out. The girl was just full of surprises tonight. And right now, Jisaku had trouble deciding whether or not to pull his hair in frustration and it clearly showed in his very shaky hands. Couldn't Jasmine cut the tough girl bit for one night?...is something he wanted to say.

Makoto stared with wide eyes as Ayumi left. "...Was she always like that?"

"She didn't actually..." Jisaku couldn't finish. The last thing he knew he should do was try and take Jasmine's side at the moment. "Ayumi...I used to think that way too. I thought I was weak, didn't think I could do anything for the world. Do anything for the people who depend on me. But look at me now. I'm Captain of the best damn Squad there is. You're a part of that best damn Squad too, you know." Jisaku put his hands on hers and laced their fingers together.
"You're not weak. You're nowhere near weak. After all, if it wasn't for you, Unaga would still be alive...and I'd be dead. The fact is...I believe you could become stronger than me." He planted a kiss on the back of her head before resting his head on her shoulder.
"You are strong. I know it. You know it. And I told you I'd give you my full support. So don't you let Jasmine-san or anyone get you down...Yuyu."

Yeah...as far as pet names go, that was a spur of the moment thing. But it sounded nice in his head.

Ayumi was really coming out of her shell. It reminded Jisaku of a time during their Academy days when they sat on the roof and talked about their hopes and dreams. But before Jisaku could reminisce any further, he felt a gust of cold wind blow by and Ayumi would likely feel him shivering. "So...do you think we can go back in now? I can ask Jasmine-san to apologize to you."
